I was a senior in college when the song first came out I thought it was pretty annoying plus you heard it everywhere...but the video makes me painfully nostalgic for all the crazy fun nights I had. If you're going to college or already there, I would just suggest to be your own individual. Don't be pressured to do anything you don't want or feel is not right. Personally, I was just friendly to everyone I came across and played music/guitar in a cover band and subsequently I went to more parties than I can even attempt to recall. I do think, if you're so inclined, get the partying and carefree-ness out of your system in your early 20s when best able to keep up with yourself...I will never say it's the "best time of your life" because I've been perfectly content with how my post college journey and I see it all as equal...some good, some bad. I was getting wildly off-track towards the end. But I snapped back together and focused on my classes and grades towards the end and I'm glad I did - I have a successful career and awesome friends, side-hustles and hobbies even 15 years later. Just keeping busy and making sure I do everything in moderation and plan for my future. It all has to balance out, and that continues for your entire life. With each generation and cohort it seems like it's getting more difficult though and I see it constantly with my younger friends...just keep at what you love to do, don't give up, do well in school and then afterwards just embrace life and hold your friends, family, and memories close.

I was a senior in college when the song first came out I thought it was pretty annoying plus you heard it everywhere...but the video makes me painfully nostalgic for all the crazy fun nights I had. If you're going to college or already there, I would just suggest to be your own individual. Don't be pressured to do anything you don't want or feel is not right. Personally, I was just friendly to everyone I came across and played music/guitar in a cover band and subsequently I went to more parties than I can even attempt to recall. I do think, if you're so inclined, get the partying and carefree-ness out of your system in your early 20s when best able to keep up with yourself...I will never say it's the "best time of your life" because I've been perfectly content with how my post college journey and I see it all as equal...some good, some bad. I was getting wildly off-track towards the end. But I snapped back together and focused on my classes and grades towards the end and I'm glad I did - I have a successful career and awesome friends, side-hustles and hobbies even 15 years later. Just keeping busy and making sure I do everything in moderation and plan for my future. It all has to balance out, and that continues for your entire life. With each generation and cohort it seems like it's getting more difficult though and I see it constantly with my younger friends...just keep at what you love to do, don't give up, do well in school and then afterwards just embrace life and hold your friends, family, and memories close.
