Glad you enjoyed it! Was amazing to see just how much water was around following the rain.

As of the 3 Jan the road was open but massive track damage and ruts. There are bypasses in place. Edit , by the road l mean the road down to Kings Hut..

Hi Jason. In an unrelated topic I have been following your transfer case issues in the forums. Just a thought, your Paj seems pretty heavy with the rear bar, bullbar/ winch , plates etc, maybe under load on steep inclines etc it’s putting too much stress on trans case ?. I have 2017 nx paj without the extras and have also taken the back seats out. I have done all the VHC steep stuff with no issues, although only at 60 k.

Hi Richard, vehicle weight is definitely a factor, but we're at GVM, not hundreds of kg's over it. We do, do long days when in the high country, typically 10hr days.
Really believe the short answer is, the transfer case is under spec'd for the job. Got some good technical info on the forums that compared to similar vehicles the gears are much smaller, and importantly, Mits completely redesigned it for the Paj Sport, whilie keeping the same transmission....
Couple that with the fact that I've only done 1 CV in all this time, which was definitely driver error, and generally CV's are supposed to be the sacrifical part in the drivetrain.......
There will be a full video coming up on the Paj transfercase/drive train issues I've had - probably not for a while though

Hi mate, can I ask what mode the vehicle is in when driving please? Is it 4H, 4HLC or 4LLC?

Shows exactly why its a good idea to have a winch. Yes I say that yet I don't have one. So many people bag out National Parks for closing tracks, camps and other areas but this is exactly why. Could you imagine how destroyed that track would get when a few bogans hit it and decide its fun to cover their vehicles in mud. Those Trail Bikes are always a worry out in the bush, most are respectful but some just don't care and fly past like that one has done. Cracker falls there too mate.

Thx Mick, yeah one of many times I've been solo and very glad to have a winch! That thing has paid for itself a few times over.

Excellent video mate! Tracks can deteriorate very quickly! Thanks for sharing the great info! So many people don’t want to share the info on what tracks they are on. I’ve been on tracks many times with no issues then the other week a part that was completely impassable! Also great showing that you didn’t have to drive all the fords. Thanks for all the info!

Thx mate glad you enjoyed it. Try and give people an idea of track condition, difficulty with my videos which is pretty pointless if you're not going to tell them what the tracks are... :-)
