The ultimate punchline to YIIK: the best song in the game, incorporating the ostensible main theme in a tasteful way... and it isn't even used. If that isn't a metaphor for the game as a whole I don't know what is.
For those wanting to know where this plays (with a bit of context): It plays during a portion of the game where you're in the mind dungeon of another character, The Essentia 2000 (robot with green hair). It's a random battle theme and it only appears in that one section.
@The Pickle Behind The Slaughter Honestly I think the name suffers from a case of vagueness, and it's just meant to be like "Machine and the Krow Battle Theme". Not Krow as in "the name of a character".
This song is actually _sorta_ used in the game, actually. It's meant to play during the ending that no one, outside of developers, have gotten yet, during the boss fight against Wilfrid.
It's such a shame that no-one knows how to get to it yet. It's the only ending that I feel fits, and this soundtrack also works perfectly with it; the use of Alex's theme part-way through it shows that Alex is now beginning to actually prevail and fight back for once in his life. Such a good theme for a final boss.
@@TheHumbleHollow They actually did figure out how. The content is dummied out. You have to hack the game to get it, and I think that's on purpose- they tried to make it so that one ending requires you to datamine the game.
@@ImFangzBro man... And here I was hoping that when I.V comes out they'd finally tell us how to get the secret ending or something. I suppose maybe they were saving it for I.V where it becomes the standard ending, and we just hacked so well that we got it a lil' early... Right?
@@blaz9474 It's definitely in the game. No krow battle though.. This was used in Essentia's mind dungeon, I believe. Like a random monster battle. I remember saving a video of the battle so I could look up the song later. I was fighting robots.
@@linds7788 was it post-patch? 'cause, y'know, they apparently changed (or are maybe still planning, i don't even know nor care, i wish this game to exit my brain forever) a lot about the game, both gameplay and story

Wasted potential, thy name is YIIK. A true testament as to why RPGs should never be self-insert stories.
@You're serious huh? Just because Alex doesn't look like the devs doens't mean he's not a self-insert. :p
it IS actually used, just as a normal enemy battle theme. i heard it in some monster den, forget the specific one
Has this game entered the "so bad it's good" category? I can't believe how close I am to buying it just for the interesting ingame music.
y'know, since yiik iv is apparently becoming a thing that exists, and krow is an actual character in it...
fingers crossed???

This really should've been one of the final songs you hear in the game. It has such an in-the-end-game feel to it.

@@TheHumbleHollow Maybe? I dunno.
This song now plays when fighting the krow in yiik iv
catchy af;
leitmotiv of the game;
Not used in game.
It is in the Old frankton ending though!
This good piece has no right being in a game like this
maybe you should play the game dipshit
@@Blazing_00 I prefer to be called a dunkshit, thank you.
good news! it isn't
