@@SoundlineAudioNewZealand I think he's asking if the VTA can be adjusted while in operation .. in which case the answer is no, the VTA on the Carbon arm can be adjusted to accommodate differing cartridge body heights (allen key in the arm shaft) however, it isn't done with a cam shaft to allow it to be done while playing.
To check the magnetic suspension, take the spindle with two fingers and move it up and down (gently, of course)!
Big difference between x8 and x9, platter has molten vinyl on top and the feet are also magnetic
