Do we need any feet or pads for 100? No pads included in the box...now I wondering...can I put the speakers on the cabine? Without any ruber pads or something? What is your sugestion how to place the speakers without the stands.
The cabinet is not "taller" because according to MA, where the tweeter is right now works for the dispersion characteristics to sound similar to other speakers in the range. Seems to me that the 8" woofer models have this slight protrusion. Not sure why they mounted the driver trim rings proud of the baffle. Will be interesting to see measurements of these if they ever get measured
Very nice. Do these really hit 119dB and 122dB as the specs suggest for the 100 6G and 500 6G? Looks wise, I think the Silver 7G series looks a lot nicer than both Gold series. So it's a step back for me in that department. I like the feet better on the new one though.
@@SoundlineAudioNewZealand It's not about hearing as loud as possible, lol 😂. First of all it's 122dB at 1m peak, then sound drops off 6dB for every doubling of the distance. So it means you can have this speaker farther away from you and it will sound loud enough, for larger rooms, it also can hit THX spec of 115db easier for movies, and generally having more headroom of any given spec is a good thing. etc
I would say the two words I would use to describe them are Neutral and clean. Not overly bassy or warm but certainly not hard or analytical. I could listen to them for hours as long as they are on an amp that is also easy to listen to for a long time. Accuphase and Technics are both good pairings for the speaker’s overall tone.
Something with a good 150watts plus of power per channel. (Which I know is most receivers) I’m a big fan of the new Marantz Receivers because they are Dirac ready.
Well the Gold 300 is a floor speaker and the Gold 100 is a bookshelf speaker so there is a significant difference in output volume, bass response, presence, body and scale.
Cars was the place to be in the 00' . Now it's hi-fi for sure.

Can that technics NU gx 70 run the gold 100 6g ?
MA Gold 100 5G vs B&W 705 S3 Signature. What is better for Denon 2020 AE?

Not sure how many people are actually going to listen to music on Hi-Fi speakers at 122db.

Do the MA50 6g sound cool, analytical, in your face. What is the character of the sound, can it be listened to all day or would it become tiring. Tnx

Did you pair this 6G Gold speakers with some tube amps? What are conclusions? Are they a difficult load for these amplifiers?
Hi monitor audio gold 6g better or Dynaudio sp40
The monitor audio gold 2005G can be bought for £1900 right and the equivalent 6G speaker costs £4000 .
Are they really worth over 50% extra?
Have your heard the new silver series? I passed on the last generation due to excessive port chuffing in the back. Kinda disappointing.
Do you mean the current 7th Gen silvers?
Yes they’re lovely.
What avr or amp avr combo would sound best the the 100’s please

Soundline, what would you say abt 100g6 vs 300g6? How do the differ?

Would You recommend gold 100 6g to smaller room? 15-20m2 @@SoundlineAudioNewZealand

vs Monitor Audio Silver 200 ?!
Seems an odd choice to move away from a flush finish on the driver install. This is not a good idea.
