BMW seats are by far the top. Just to add Best gearbox on the planet is BMW zf structure. Much more reliable and comfort than any DSG and CVT gearbox. That is why when you drive a BMW you feel there is something better in that shit. And of course there are many factors contributing an opinion but I have a feeling BMW is the word best in terms of engine, consumption, comfort, materials( just need to use less plastic and rearrange it with carbon and Kevlar, ). BMW is a combination pack. Audi not, same for all VW group and Mercedes that always something is missing.

Yep, i have driven a 730d, and it had about half of the power of this car, and it squatted pretty well when i floored it. Looks very cool, and feels very cool. Air suspension in the rear you know.

Love the A8. Doesn't scream money, smooth as ever, and does all the stuff you expect a car to do at that price point. And does it really really well. The S-CLass is a head turner and has a lot more going on with it. Screams money for sure. BMW on the other hand is more driver-focused. I mean I'd be confused if I'll want to drive it or be driven. Same for the Jaguar XJL. As for my taste, the A8 sort of is the sweet spot. I'd buy that.
I think the Audi grill works. For me it's the most attractive element because overall it's kind of a boring design. I generally love their design language though, and think most of their line-up looks great.

I love watching your show! As a fellow Candian living abroad, I challenge you to test these cars on the Autobahn? You have to get either of these puppies above 160 kmph to even appreciate them. It's a whole new level of respect! These cars will not disappoint you at 250, they drive like butter.
You can't seriously expect them to be able to go to Germany and get *Euro* press cars (which will have some differences compared to their CA+US counterparts) every time they want to review a luxury sedan, do you? In the US & Canada, the only way to get an Autobahn-like experience would be to: a) Be on very good terms with local officials + Police force and get them to shut down a segment of some road for a short length of time on a certain day ahead of time (which is hard for anything short of a large/old company to do, and probably costs some money to boot) or, b) risk losing their ability to get a press car forever (at least from whoever loaned them these) by *severely* breaking the speed limit on some local road with lots of long straightaways, and then using vague wording (to avoid admitting to committing a crime on camera) to explain the way they feel in a scenario that is not legally possible to experience just about anywhere on the NA continent. I'm sure these are great for the Autobahn, but just stick to recommending the experience to them if they get a chance. Shouldn't have taken much thought to realize that it's unreasonable to *challenge* them to do such a thing on the channel...
The earlier models with smaller grills look quite good, but the brand new models have oversized grills, which just looks hideous and completely out of place

My last audi was A8 2013 & I loved it, I changed to a 2015 Bmw 740Li, I enjoyed the Audi interior & seating much better.. Now the new seating in the BMW is amazing & I enjoyed the drive, will continue with BMW 7 series.
Love my A8L 4.2 rocking 430HP. they forgot the Audi safety feature. If another vehicle is about to hit you straight on the side. The Audi in real time will automatically lift up 5 inches to help save your life and create less damage. Cool stuff. Mine 121k price tag and paid off! Doesn't hurt being a Paramedic-Firefighter Captain in Los Angeles, ca. $$$$$

Black on black interiors have a really tough time looking luxurious except when it's in a Rolls Royce. A white or gray color would have reflected the modernity and minimalism inside the A8 very well. The BMW's brown is also gorgeous.

Surprised no comment was made about the Audi media interface and how it’s an absolute dog to use whilst driving. Test drove an A8 over a weekend and I almost crashed the darn thing whilst trying to adjust the air conditioning and seat cooling.
Currently we have a 2016 A8 4.2 tdi V8 and a 2018 M760li. Previously I had the 2016 740Ld. All cars are absolutely brilliant to drive, in comfort plus there isn’t really much to separate them apart from the 760 performance. Performance wise the 740 didn’t feel any slower than the A8 but was more dynamic to drive quickly on UK roads and for everyday driving in town, whereas the A8 just seemed to labour a bit more and required more effort. Diesels are better in town than the 760 due to fuel consumption of

I'm at a point in life where I felt the need to reward myself and looked at both of these cars. The BMW styling is simply offensive to me. The giant nostrils up front are just punctuation on that last sentence. While I loved the pre-2002 A8s ever since the grille has been less than 50% open to air flow, this year that is even more true. While the A8 interior genuinely appeals to me and the V8 is the "right motor" for that car I passed up the opportunity to choose one. Instead, I bought Lucid Air. This is what the future of luxury and indulgence feels like. It is quite a bit both quicker and faster than these two as well, while being comfortable, luxurious, and not excessively ornamented. Best of all, 0% fake grilles.
19" rims really don't give you much more sidewall as the 255/45-19" tires are 28" tall giving you 4.5 " of sidewall VS 265/40-20" tires that are 28.5" tall giving you 4.25" of sidewall , so you are only gaining 1/4" of sidewall 6:40 Grand touring tires over ultra high performance tires would make more of a difference in ride comfort Although there is a huge selection of 19" Grand touring tires, not so muck with the 20" Although Grand touring tires come in 19" and 20" on this model from the factory
Comparing the 3.0L turbo V6 compared to the BMW twin turbo V8 is a huge advantage. I would have hopped over to Detroit and gotten the 4.0L twin turbo 60TFSI A8L.
I realize that I'm nit picking here, but neither of these cars are limousines. They are executive sedans. True limos have a divider between the front and passenger compartments.
The return of all wheel steering. Nissan, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Honda were all into all wheel steering in the 80s and 90s. Even family sedans like the Capella/626 had it.

I live in Toronto and I don't really see many 7 Series cars on the road. When I do see a 7 Series I see the old E65/66 which surprises me because that model is the most unrealiabke BMW ever made!!

Saw a prefacelift 7 series with the iconic headlights, looked incredible. They’ve butchered the looks with this one.
I live in Toronto and I don't really see many 7 Series cars on the road. When I do see a 7 Series I see the old E65/66 which surprises me because that model is the most unrealiabke BMW ever made!!
