    I'm considering this procedure. When I look at the thumbnail on either this video or the 4 month video it literally brings tears to my eyes. I was a swimmer in high school, and then I joined the military, but now I have 2 teenage kids who literally have never seen me under 50 bmi in their entire lifetimes.
    I'm especially glad that you shared your experiences with food in this video. I have developed some bad eating habits, but I also know what it's like to be healthy. This video helps me understand the level of commitment I'd be signing up for if I go forward with the procedure.
    I'd really love another update, but either way I thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing.

    I had this surgery November 11th and so far feel amazing and have had great weight loss. Down around 65 pounds so far. Im dealing with my first stall right now and am feeling a little burned out on certain foods but when I add seasonings to try and change things up my body doesnt like the stronger flavors. Any tips would be extremely helpful! Keep the updates coming. Your progress is inspiring.

    Congratulations on over 100 lbs. lost! I also am really close to being under 200 lbs. and I can almost taste it 😛 We have a very similar approach to things and it's always nice to see how others go through this process and what they are experiencing as well! I just did a video on binge eating myself - I agree it's scary when I still get those thoughts and urges. It's getting easier as time goes on for sure, but that desire to use food as comfort has not been eliminated and old habits die hard. I also experience the body dysmorphia occasionally and it's so BIZARRE to both see the weight loss I've had but also see the same fat body as before. I sometimes look back at my starting photos to help, but I think the biggest issue for me is that I didn't realize I was that big in the past so there's always been some sort of weird disconnect for me. Thanks for your update! 💕

    I just want to say that I am seeing a big difference in your weight loss experience and how much happier you are and I can't wait until I get to that point. I am just now starting my journey and don't even have a date yet, but along with my family and close friends, I would love to have you as a supporter as well to help me get through this. I know everyone is different with how fast they lose the weight, and the certain stresses that they go through, but seeing your videos is making me feel more better about my journey and knowing that I can get through this, but having a lot of support also helps. Thanks for doing your vids. You are very beautiful. Keep doing what you are doing and you will get to where you need to be. I'm just about to go through the cardio stress test and have them check my tummy for ulcers and go through blood and physical work. So, I will let you know more about my journey later, if you would have me to. Keep up the great work. Have a great day! WTG on your big weight loss!!! 😁💜💜💜👍💪

    How much of an effort is it for you to take vitamins all day? Do you have issues with loose stools? I keep reading that it can be a side effect of Sadi. I just started this process with my surgeon and he recommended Sadi over the sleeve for me. These are two of the things that I really worry about with getting the Sadi. Also, how often do you have to go in to get your vitamin levels checked? Thanks, and you look great!

    • @thelindsaylist
      @thelindsaylist  2 роки тому +2

      The vitamin thing has been a non issue. I thought it would be more difficult, but it’s second nature now. Changing from liquid/chewable kind to capsules as soon as I could swallow them was what made it doable.
      I don’t have any loose stool issues, I’m very regular and it hasn’t been an issue.
      I have had my vitamins levels checked a handful of times over the first year, and from here on out I think it will just be yearly. I haven’t had any issues with those levels.
      Best of luck as you make your decision!

    Hi! I’m considering a revision from gastric bypass to the duodenal switch. I had my gastric bypass in 2013, and now I’m trying to gather as much information as possible to make an informed decision. Do you have any recommendations for resources, research, or UA-cam channels where I can learn more? Thanks so much!

    How did you get started on the exercise? It sounds like you’re doing a lot of exercising. Did you start of with one or two things, or did you start with lots of things and just do a short duration of each (like 15 minutes)? What was your method? How did you handle the impact exercises?
    What’s your method of scheduling time for it? I know it sounds crazy but changing clothes and showering off the sweat is a big time sink for each day. Maybe I’m not organized or able to keep myself scheduled enough to make a strict routine but I every day seems so unstable as to who will need me to stop what I’m doing and give them some attention/moral support. My social needs aren’t met during exercise so I end up prioritizing going out to lunch with a friend and cancel my routine plans.
    Maybe this is a conversation instead of a comment but I’m very interested in how you handle those kinds of things.

    • @thelindsaylist
      @thelindsaylist  3 роки тому +4

      I live for variety so that’s partly why there is so much! But it didn’t start that way. I added things in. I started with rowing. I got a rower in April. I would use it a few times a week. And they were very short at first. Around 15-20 minutes. Then I wanted to add in some other things. I decided to try the apple fitness plus workouts. They have lots of different time options so I would do 10 or 20 minutes or something. I did yoga very regularly for a while. Then tried other stuff either instead of or in addition to the yoga.
      If it’s a home workout I do them when my youngest is napping.
      I also really enjoy working out. So I look forward to it. I think that helps too with keeping the routine. I don’t beat myself up though if I miss a day.
      As for the exercise classes, it’s a friend who teaches them. My kids take TKD classes there. I knew she and some others did classes there and I finally just attended one. I have done a lot of exercise classes in the past at gyms, college, and I joined a CrossFit gym for a while. I love group exercise. It’s a little nerve racking to start. But it helps keep me motivated and I love the social aspect of it.
      I went to one class and I was hooked! I started going to regularly that I canceled my apple fitness membership. But I still do the occasional yoga classes from videos I find on UA-cam.
      The biggest advice I could give is to find something that you enjoy doing. Even if it’s not “the best” form of exercise (whatever that is!)

      When I was at my peak w exercise until an injury that occurred on vacation, I treated it like a class that I couldn't miss. I went from very little exercise at all to working out 4-5 days a week for over a decade. I then incorporated other things like dance and aqua fitness so I wouldn't get bored. When I initially started working out I would go early in the morning b4 work since I didn't start until 11am. So I would just wash the important things, workout, then take a shower after. So if u don't want to take multiple showers per day that's an option. Some ppl just jump out of bed. workout then shower. You can also use UA-cam and Eventbrite for workout options.
