you will be amazed that Elvis didn't care about his own albums and he never listened to his own stuff. He loved everything, from gospel to opera. When he loved a performer he told them. Like Tom jones first time to LA from Wales in the UK he ask to meet Tom. The same thing with the Godfather of Soul, James Brown. He came to Vegas while Elvis was there, and Elvis wanted to meet him and they became fast friends. Sometime you have to do James Brown's tribute to Elvis, 'Love Me Tender". James sat by Elvis coffin when he died. Elvis was star struck just like everybody else, and the wonderful thing about humble Elvis, is he tried not to ever criticize other performers, "There is room for everybody in this business", He help promote the Osmonds even redesigned their costumes to resemble his. Some funny remarks by people who Elvis met, was Bruno Kirby who was an actor who met Elvis when he Kirby was an usher at the theater and was 16. Another is Goldie Hawn of 'Laughin", who met Elvis while he was doing his 68 Comeback Special. There is so much good stuff, I appreciate this tidbit about Elvis. Thanks, Merry Christmas.

when Elvis told his father to install those lights along the driveway he was in hollywood making a movie. When he drove home he stopped outside Memphis for a bit so when he got home it would be dark and he'd see them lit up

Hey Zakk!!... There are two documentaries I think you would really enjoy: "Elvis 56", which just focuses on 1956, and "Classic Albums: Elvis Presley", which is a deeper look at his first album. Both are under an hour.

Graceland is the most beautiful place on earth for Christmas. I hope I can see this place sometime. ua-cam.com/video/L7NibQusyEE/v-deo.html
