- Getting shown a secret trail is always a special experience. We were lucky to meet Nakagima-san a few days earlier when he offered to show us one of Japan's amazing halfpipe trails! We also go on a hunt for the Yam Man for some tasty Yaki Imo!

OMG the yam truck chase was the best! We were cracking up as Yuka kept disappearing off into the distance on her mission for yam! 😆

It was just hilarious! That whole sequence from "oh wow it's a chanting monk", to "wait no it's the Yam Truck!" and the resulting frenzied chase haha. Gold.

Indeed. Rainy days will come. Eventually. How is your season going? I have beaten times on all of my local trails at this point, even tho half of them are with fallen trees and so on... 😂
You need to get out to the Right Coast (New England) and come check out what we've got going on out here. I think you'll be surprised at how close the trail style is to your home trails in Vancouver area. It's alot more up and down than consistent downhill like you guys have but there's none of that boring logging/fire road riding. It's just all gnar up and down.

When I spent a winter in Canada your yam fries with chipotle mayo were awesome, we call these things: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxalis_tuberosa yams. I was all about the meat buns in Japan. Once again those Japanese halfpipe trails look sick.

That trail is not in condition but its pretty challenging riding it. And i would prefer eating Yaki thing than riding 😂

In canada i use a recon rack. In Japan we had a crappy saris rack.
