    Best thing to do is you can wax the hell out of a ledge and it won’t slide you have to keep in grinding it and that works the wax into the curb and spreads it out then overtime it gets buttery.

  • @joshbrown9864
    @joshbrown9864 3 роки тому

    After the rub brick I suggest spraying clear coat over your spot. Let it sit for a half hour then hit it with your wax. It’ll make the spot more durable and quite frankly a lot more buttery when you add the wax.

    Yeah most spots I skate are in the city, and if you get caught using stuff like this they will try to arrest you on destruction of property, so use at your own risk. I personally suggest just using a rock or smaller stone that way you can carry it with you and waxing after, but thats my two sense 😊

    so how's that ledge doing today? I'm thinking of doing the same thing at a spot near me; a curb just like that.

    Best way is to spray the clear coat over it after its perfectly smooth then when it dries up GOOD. wax that puppy and you have a solid smooth ledge forever

  • @alexcorona
    @alexcorona 5 років тому +2

    you shouldn't use wax on a freshly bricked spot, just a coat of laquer should be enough, after breaking it in you use wax.

    • @MilkshakeSkateboarding
      @MilkshakeSkateboarding  8 років тому +3

      +liam rumble345 It pretty much depends on where the spot is. If its a ledge or curb at a business you usually skate at, you can do it when it's closed.It really isn't "vandalism". If anything you're fixing it.

    Me and my buddy are trying to smoothen out a 7x7 foot bank we found. We're not grinding it, just riding it as a bank. Will rub bricking the whole thing work or do you have another method? By the way it's much more rough than the concrete in the video

    • @MilkshakeSkateboarding
      @MilkshakeSkateboarding  8 років тому

      +lowkeyzerochillvideosbuthighkeytho It should work. Might take multiple rub bricks though considering how much surface you are trying to smoothen.

  • @jarnisdk1

    that rub brick sound like a waste of cash in my opinion and pretty much any skaters. it seem to take so long time and seems like it would just be faster and better to give it a shitload of wax.

    • @MilkshakeSkateboarding
      @MilkshakeSkateboarding  7 років тому +2

      It really doesn't take all too long. Sure you can use a crap ton of wax but even that can't help that much on super grimy ledges. Get the homies to pitch in $2 each, get the rub brick, bang it out in 20 minutes and have a good time
