  • Whether you are into landscape, cityscape, astro photography or a seasoned wedding photographer, you know how valuable a fast ultra wide lens is, especially ones that perform. But they often come at a cost, however, Viltrox may just have a solution for you without selling your kidney. Viltrox 16mm f1.8 Z is their brand new offering for Nikon Z users. #photography #lenses #nikonzf

I'm curious if the top screen would be too distracting for astro

I just got the 20mm yesterday & this 16mm looks a definite winner for nighttime cityscapes, my only wish is that it was even wider 12 or 14mm. In general the lack of Nikon fast wide primes needs to be addressed in their range. Otherwise I’ll need to but the Sony 14mm GM & adaptor or Laowa .

It might be "too wide", but look into the Laowa 10mm/2.8 Zero-D lens -- full frame & AF.

I suppose the optics of the Nikon version are identical to those of the Sony version. The results should be the same.

I just wish they stuck with the design of their other 1.8 lenses and not added a screen.
Your video has an annoying hissing noise. Seems like an unlubricated swinging fan or something.
