Your channel was recommended by a FB friend in a group focused on recovering from B1 deficiency. This exercise was one of the first videos I watched on your channel. The eyes feel refreshed after practicing this, although awkward while following movements. I found I mostly look right with my eyes closed. Never have thought of this before. Thank you!

Hi Erin, I just found your channel and this is the first exercise I tried. It reminds me of an orgone therapy I used to do. It's so helpful and I am adding this to my morning ritual. Thanks!

Mine rest the same way, down left. I liked doing these exercises with eyes closed, so I focus on the outer eye muscles. I felt pulling behind my sinuses. Very good awareness, thank you Erin! Xxx

I have been noticing recently that my eyesight has been strained. When I did this exercise I realized that my right eye is very shut down and my left eye is strained. Left one is pointing up to the left at the very top and the right one is fallen in the right corner. I can tell by the exercise that I need to give some attention to my eyes. Thank you

Hello Erin, my right eye has been twitching for more than a month, I recently discovered your channel and learnt a lot about fascia from you!!!
I wondered if you’d post any videos about the eyes, and wow you have one too, thank you for sharing this. I found out I rely a lot on my right eye, I almost can’t feel my left eye is in control much, or I guess my right eye is so used to doing the main job and it’s strained. I’ll try keep working my eyes out and see how it goes!
One last thing, is there a video where you explain why fascia are stretched only through contraction? It’d be very helpful for me to share with others the theory behind!!
Anyways thanks a-lot for the generosity!!!

Hello Maggie ! Sorry for my delay, I’m playing catch-up now. I love your feedback on how you experienced this class! I suggest repeating it a few more times and see how it evolves for you. I do have videos talking about why are you adding contraction through the movement. I can’t recall the specific one right now, but basically, when you contract the muscle, you are essentially adding tension and compression to the fascial tissue. Then, when you move into elongation, you are taking the fascial tissue for a ride! Fascia needs tension and compression to change ☺️

I find this very interesting myself, I often observe differences in each eye that I didn’t know about!

Thank you Erin that was an interesting experience. I have never thought of doing eye exercises with them closed but it does give a different experience, more nuanced. I will add these to my daily practice as I am always looking for things that are more subtle and inner, especially for the head region / senses, and for me personally the vestibular system. Do you have any particular practices for the vestibular system?

Thank you so much for your message. I am glad to have provided a new perspective. In regards to the vestibular system, I do believe the nature of this work contributes to the health of the vestibular system as a whole. I will plan to make a video geared towards nuances pertaining to the vestibular system!

I found this video looking to learn more about fascia and eyes. I have some PRI patterns and I have noticed that my left use to see better than my right, but now it’s not as clear and doesn’t focus as quickly the right. Also sometimes when I do activities looking/bending down there is pain in the left eye. Doing your execises I noticed my right eye was at ease the entire time. However my left eye resting was pulling up and slightly outward. Also many of the movements would be tense or uncomfortable for my left eye.

John, thank you so much for sharing. It might be good to practice this a few times a week and see how the muscle in the eyes train. Thanks again!

I saw someone else mention sinuses - I also felt differences in pressure in my sinuses and it was a little uncomfortable at first, but feels nice after. I definitely feel like my eyes and maybe even my cheek muscles got a bit of a workout. very interesting. I will try to do this one at least once a week. and maybe get my kiddos to try it too.

Sorry that I'm finding this one year after ya made it, but I did just try this out. Left eye feels fatigued and right eye feels like deadfish and weak like it just doesnt respond to much . What does that mean? What to do?

Isn’t it so crazy how different the experience is on each side?! I would come back to this video and repeat it often and practice for symmetry in the attempt to balance out the ocular muscles. Even continuing fascial work with the upper body, such as the neck, between the shoulder blades, and chest can help address fascia tissue deeper in the body.

Hi Erin . My left eye is not move to the right side become I had a surgery at younger age and surgeon pull the muscles of my left eye too far and since then it doesn't move to inside or to right . Does any exercise would impose the movement or not

Hello! I wish I could give you more concrete answers. I suggest only working with movement that feels good and safe. Always great to get the OK from your healthcare practitioner.

My eyes rested slightly downward slightly left. I was amazed at the pull in my facial muscles. I looked upward and left to right also. I felt my cheeks move. Our bodies are so strange lol. Does this increase blood flow to an area and help keep healthy eyes?

    • @DailyFascia
      @DailyFascia  2 роки тому

Hello! I like to think so. Just as we contract and use our muscles elsewhere in the body and experience benefits, so too with the eyes!
