Dear people, I’d say that the best season to visit Azerbaijan is May (late spring). Everywhere is full of flowers, days are almost always sunny and temperature is between 20-25. I’m glad that you traveled not only to Baku but even did a hiking trip to the regions. Have a nice stay! 😊

When I watched your Georgia series, I added it to my list of must visit countries. As I have to fly from Australia to see the world, I like to make use of the airfare by seeing not just the main country I'm interested in but a few countries around it. Welcome to Azerbaijan. As an Azerbaijani living in USA I liked all you filmed. Just a small suggestion. Try negotiating the price especially when you buy services or things from the street(cash purchases). Juice for 8 manats was expensive but I heard that renting a spot in those areas is very expensive and not stable business therefore small businesses try to squeeze the maximum. They put really high price since it is a tourist place. Good luck with your travel! Enjoy Azerbaijan.

A monument to the explorer, the famous Norwegian traveler and ethnographer Thor Heyerdahl. From a bit of googling Azerbaijan was a Soviet satellite state and entered the war with them in 1941. The Baku oilfields were very enticing for Hitler.
Azerbaijan joined the Soviet Union in 1922, so it was part of the USSR, which was different from being a satellite state. The Soviet satellites weren't part of the USSR but were communist countries aligned with the Soviet Union, including Poland, Romania, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, East Germany, Yugoslavia and Albania.

Woooo a lake. This looks like a ski resort. State the obvious. So many very interesting things to say about Azerbaijan, but shows a conversation in a ski lift about ice skating.
Hi Gabriel, what an amazing trip to the mountains I see how the other travelers are curious about skiing and other activities in the mountains and looking for other adventures and you've done that so I'm sure you talk to them about your own experiences. The skateboarding that the guy talked to you about was interesting. These places were interesting in the summer. They must be beautiful stunning backgrounds, huge lakes, and waterfalls.
Cool introduction to "little known country", also cool to run into variance of tourists, although being in a small box having to make small talk would make me jump out, but, still cool to meet folks from all over.

What I like about those countries on the Balkans and around it, you sometimes get deeper into a country and find yourself on some "Brutal" authentic old virgin looking suburbs, untouched, yeah, they might be undeveloped, but I see it beautiful and would be wondering there and walking just enjoying the vibes and aura of the place.

Kinda a vague explanation but the countries like Azerbaijan , Albania , Georgia , Belarus , Armenia , Bulgaria , Serbia and lands around..they do share some of the past and parts of landscapes kind of looks alike. But yeah, Azerbaijan do look like some way or another to those countries, even though its far to the east@@vaultkeeper2
Not very often, definitely not my preferred way to travel. In this case it worked out, a lot easier than doing it solo. But if I'd visited the same places with a rental car I think it would have been a more interesting adventure, would have made lots of random stops along the way. But it probably would have taken two days.

1941 - WWII for Russians and Soviet Union began on 21st of June 1941 when Nazis invaded CCCP (operation Barbarossa). Before then Soviets invaded Poland on 17th September 1939 but they didn’t call it a war ( more likely special military operation or something)
American cities are much less safe than those in peaceful Central Asia. People usually think in the lines that their own country is the safe place in times of uncertainty, lots of people do that here in Sweden too, but as a world traveler myself I certainly do know places that are just as safe, or safer.

@@GabrielTravelerVideos The water just dilutes the smoke and allows you to breathe or take in more of the toxins. I definitely don’t recommend it to anyone. Smoking any cigarettes or tobacco or cannabis or any type is not good for the lungs 🫁 or mind.
