    I love your colour choices and your April cardigan is beautiful. I'm inspired by your lento and the use of 2 different colour strands of brushed alpaca, genius, I would never have thought of doing that so thank you!

    Your April cardigan turned out so well. I said I was going to take a cardi break for a bit because my last 3 knits have been cardigans, but it's so tempting to cast this on after seeing yours. I like the saddle shoulder detail and the neutral color makes it a staple garment. The Dartmoor is beautiful as well. The fabric looks so light and the marled look is stunning and unique.
    Boldness to the max on the Marie Wallin cowl! It is gorgeous and the information on color dominance is very helpful - definitely something I'll keep in mind when doing colorwork.

    Oh my goodness, those socks are soooo beautiful!!! And I'm usually not one for flowery stuff.
    I'm crocheting at the moment, and actually doing the pattern for the second time in a row 😆😆😆 It's the Whoopa cardigan by Tinna Thorudottir, I made a really colourful one for myself and am now working on a pastel one for my niece. If you're interested, there is a video tutorial playlist on Tinna's channel, but you can also get her pattern on Ravelry. My big one took me just 3.5 days to crochet.

    I love the idea of using Filcolana Alva or Isager Alpaca 1 as a substitute for mohair!! I'm pretty sensitive to wool, so will defo consider either of those for the next project I like that requires mohair!! I just cast on the Magnolia Bloom Lite by Camilla Vad in Drops Belle - also in blue, but the denim jeans dark colour, not the peacock you've got (though I was torn between those two colours!)

    • @thewoollyworker
      @thewoollyworker  Рік тому

      Yes, I'm going to be considering those moving forward ! I want to also find a good single strand of DK for some other patterns because the alpaca 1 can be as pricey as mohair, sadly. And that's a beautiful pattern ! I was drawn to those jeans blue colours too :D

    I did the Evergreen shawl as a mystery CAL which I gifted myself for 2021 Christmas. I loved the result, but the mosaic section was extremely time consuming 😅 At the end it would take me like an hour to crochet one row. Also, the mosaic section drape is completely different from the lace part. It is much thicker (if that's the right word) and not so drapy. But the shawl is beautiful 😍

    • @thewoollyworker
      @thewoollyworker  Рік тому

    • @thewoollyworker
      @thewoollyworker  Рік тому +1

      I'm so glad! And yeah i wasn't sure if people would want to hear about it but it seems to be okay! And also to offer alternatives for people if they also want to substitute!

    Beautiful April cardi!
    Yes , the Breeze Collection. On my wish list. The Isager Trio sounds interesting. I struggle with using plant based yarns. But this I may like to try. It can get quite warm in northeast Ohio.
    Would you tell me if Isager alpaca 2 is soft to skin?

    • @thewoollyworker
      @thewoollyworker  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for sharing! The trio is very "stringy" like other cotton/linen yarns, and it's weird using it with such a fluffy fiber such as the Eco Soft.
      I find isager alpaca 2 to be AMAZINGLY soft to skin, it is perfect. Some people are a bit intolerant to alpaca though so it won't be universal, but I loved working with it on the 2 projects I made.

    Loved this episode, as always! I'm curious what are your thoughts on the drops brushed alpaca silk for your lento, compared to a mohair or the alva that you used for the dartmoor? In terms of how the fabric turns out?I love how the marling came out on your dartmoor too! It looks so nice for a classic black sweater!

    • @thewoollyworker
