    Good job with this! Echo the other comments about expecting balls out lunacy but appreciate your sensible use of speed and caution as needed. Used to live just off the Loch Lomond road and did this run very often back in the late 90s. Got up early on the weekend and had very little traffic. That section up the Rest and be Thankful you show was a favourite. I can close my eyes now and be back there HOWLING up that bit on my R1, head shaking as the front wheel skimmed the tarmac. Thanks for bringing back fond memories to an old timer. Now live up near Aberdeen and took a trip over that way this summer for old time's sake but the F'in traffic was horrendous. One long queue!! Ruined it for me. Going to check out your other videos for some nostalgia now. Thanks.

    I really enjoyed that as I used to live in Campbeltown and regularly commuted to Glasgow for meetings then I moved to the Isle of Lewis and returned to Campbeltown regularly so I have driven those roads more times than most. Sadly those journeys were not on bikes but I have had a couple of 125's and though not as fast they are still good fun and fast enough for roads like that. I look forward to part 2.

      They've been put up quite recently. It used to be you could blast up that road, you'd maybe get a sneaky speed camera van, but you could sort of gauge if any were around by how fast the traffic was going. After you get past Tarbet, as far as I remember the speed cameras end there.

    Aye good content on some familiar roads mate. My Gsx1000GT is in for the valve shimming just now , but when i get it back wont be much riding left this season So it will be getting stripped for exhaust change as its needing the decel pops and dsg type farts. (like when you de silencer like a golf gti with dsg box it really brings out the shifting farts as you mention in your video).
    Ill be keeping it more budget than the yoshi etc and hovering around the cs racing system ( you can see the gsxs1000 videos on their website to compare on a rolling road under load .....not just a stationary bike giving twists of the throttle ) OR arrow headers and a slip on with optional db killer of my choice at the time.
    Then have the bike rolling road mapped more to take any lean spots out and keep the low / mid range strong.
    ive got the exhaust servo delete and a sprint air filter but thats not much of a difference to the sound of stock but ready for a new exhaust system i suppose.
    Also ive always wondered and need to look into it more , is if your naked version of my bike has a slightly shorter wheelbase or rake for tighter turn ins? but im still on original tyres and seemingly a few tweaks to rear tyre profile and dropping forks a little can transform these bikes not to feel so front end heavy on the tighter bends.
    ill need to join a facebook group i suppose and get the proven worthwhile mods looked at but more than happy with my bike in the longer flowing bends where its very stable and im not out going mental in my mid 40s anyway.
    im also thinking of plumbing in a remote shut off valve to effectively turn off the PAIR to stop pops and bangs in conjunction with fitting the DB killer if i am on a long weekender tour to make that side of the bike more bareable.
    👍🏍🏍

      @DreamscapeAutomotive  Місяць тому +1

      Hello mate, huge comment thanks so much! I’ll have a look at their website as I love watching bikes on the rollers! My bike feels super nimble, but I haven’t ridden your bike so I really can’t compare it. I’m on different tyres but the width is the same as the factory fitment. I really want the bike mapped, just trying to select the tuner as it will involve travel and hotels and all of the usual stuff, my dad has just bought an akra edition gsx-s1000 and my mate also has the other one in the video, so we will choose the tuner and go all together! The changeable system sounds interesting, that would make a magic UA-cam video that! Thanks for the comment 🤞🏻🤞🏻🫡🫡

      @@DreamscapeAutomotive Cool man ! By the time i get my bike back/ exhaust / and come up with a simple mechanical or electrical PAIR disable ill try knock together a wee video .Then look into dyno mapping near me a bit more before travvelling further a field or taking a gamble on posting my ecu ., But ive got dynotune eccosse on my doorstep and i know they have a dynocell as i used them over 10 years ago on a carbed thundercat right enough, so ill drop by ask them if they are equipped for the most modern stuff but i dont want a power commander... . If not DynoWorx in livingstone website is saying all the right things..
      Ill keep an eye on your mapping when you get it done before me as im sure it will be good content for your channel

    On the way down that road, from Oban (I'd stopped off for a fish supper, on the way home from Back of Keppoch, it's only a small detour), I was going quite fast, not stupid fast, but definitely not slow... I suddenly decided to slow down, and just enjoy the cruise, next bend I came to, quite a long, down hill left hander, there was a huge buck, standing in the middle of the lane... I braked and slowed a bit, he moved, along with 3 or 4 does... If I hadn't decided to slow down right before that bend, I'd have hit him, I have no doubt.

      Same here. This is the first time the channel appeared in my recommended list. I was expecting some kamikaze behaviour, but in fact that wasn't the case. Good progress was made but I didn't see anything daft or anything that put himself or any other road users in danger. Just goes to show, good progress can be made with decent observation, knowledge of the road and calculated moves.
