I've got a 6500 on a 12' uglystick for fresh water catfish. 30lb drag and longcast ability, I must say the reel is an absolute beast for any size catfish. They aren't just for saltwater.
I personally prefer the Spinfisher. Its smooth, strong, sealed and gets the job done whiles a-lot of other Penn reels compromise in some way shape or form.
ill subscribe for a fisherman trying to make it on youtube, but also for the damn near perfect thumbs. im trying to decide on the st croix triumph 7'6" M/F or TFO 7'6" M/F(whenever they get more stock) for wade fishing up here on the indian river lagoon.
LOL, thx dude 😂. I’ve fished the lagoon with my friend it’s definitely a place to chuck DOA lures. I would have to go with the St Croix because of the super fast tip
A very good, user experience, video. Thanks!

Where did you get your info that the Spinfisher vi standard model is actually ipx6?
The standard model is sealed the same exact way as the slammer.
@@hunterswfl8820 where did you get that info though?
@@Gio-nl7eg ua-cam.com/video/gpo5QdyGVpw/v-deo.html go to 5:55 he asked Penn about the sealing of the spinfisher.
@@hunterswfl8820 dope 👌🏽
Can you swap the handle on these reels??
I’ve seen people throw a new handle on but not the drag knob by itself. Don’t quote me on that though.
