@@caesarvalorvmsheevpalpatin8755 Sieges are another beast entirely. I've heard that lowering the combat difficulty and speed helps make units dumber, so that may help. I've had these issues in warband and in bannerlord, except bannerlord is unplayable anytime I contact an enemy in a charge as well, which is a bigger issue.

Ah the Vaegirs, the faction most known for their archers, and having an extreme weakness to other archers.
Luckily everyone else are bots and don't know how to hide archers so you just charge w knights and they die.

Played Vaegir before Warband even existed, got some great memories taking cities with my bardiche swinging maniaks.

First faction I absolutely despised. Mostly because bardiche bois are tough to chew for cav, and I always went with Khergit back in good ol' M&B 1.011, since they had mounted recruits.

It happened, they sieged us for 8 days, they lost all 800+ I only lost 20 of my 80 men
I had that happen when I was striling it on my own on a kherg fort. Worst decision I made but became resourceful and overcame all khergs. Then the world

As somebody who cannot play a run without turning to Longbow/Two handed weapons (or Longbow/Polearm) at some point, this was oddly satisfying to watch

@@Deanobanno that is so not true with my current playtgrough, the vaegirs have taken Wercheg, Sargoth and Dhirrim right now. The nords only have tihr and some castles left, and Ragnar is constantly defeated. I don't know what's gotten into them.

@@Deanobanno weird but i think vaegirs going ham on other countries are not that rare, in my playtrought they counqered the nords, swadia and the khergs (the last one was mostly by me lol, i was a vassal for them) but then i rebelled because yaroglek refused to give me more land.

As someone who's first playthrough was an archer build who Marshalled the Vaegirs to full conquest, I feel this in my bones

When you were shooting at the shields, aim lower for leg shots or slightly higher for a headshot.
Also pretty satisfying when you get an army of 200+ of solely archers, then tell them to 'fire at will' when the enemy is 50 yards away - the enemy being common looters. Very satisfying.

Stalker is such a banging game
Had an all vaegir archer army once, with whatever other troops I had as meatshield/frontline.
When on an open field, cycle the maps until you got one with a river or a steep hill/cliff. Let the arrows fly and retreat before they reach your frontlines.
Sieges was even easier, using the same tactics. Cuz quivers get refilled when a new battle starts and you never send them into the castle.

Pretty sure it's just post editing stuff, game itself looks great to me, then the footage loses a bit of quality, then after editing a bit more quality lost, then youtube just straight up fucks your quality up even at 1080 to make the video size smaller for its servers

I recently bought this game, after playing hundreds of hours in cs go.. Btw I started back days with Age of Empires 2 and some Lineage 2 clone games, and I always love to play somethings like this.
Last night played few hours and build decant army: 50 solders with some upgrades- 500 weekly cost (all unit tipes: inf,cav, arch/arb). and many of bandits run away from me, even mighty Vikings aka Sea raiders.
So yeah I'll go now to get few companions to train them and some backup, but yeah playing solo vs 10-15 is so fun and boost your skill so much (for me block hit, lead horse to right direction as well as attacking from right direction is kinda hard, but I feel it's not as that hard as master several recoil patterns, train ~30minutes before each game to not be newbie even after +1000 hours and deal with trolls,cheaters and just toxic persons or just big ego loosers who think they are the best of the best... of the best, and anyway they are better even your the best.. anyway you get my point of view).

In this game you win until a bigger army comes out of nowhere and slaughters you. You make it out, barely, and then you run into 20 steppe bandits, which just fucks you over. Now here you are, with everyone dead and you have lost your favorite helmet.
