Great video! Very informative! I'm getting ready to Hydroturf my Tracker 1860 so this really helped. My biggest question is how is the turf holding up with it adhered to the paint? I was debating whether to sand all the way down to bare aluminum or just scuff the factory paint?
Check out my latest update regarding the hydroturf. It is holding up great. I didn't sand anything, just used acetone to clean it well. ua-cam.com/video/m3IVM3LbrNE/v-deo.html
Looks great. Now that it's been a while, have you had any trouble with it peeling? Could you provide link to the roll you purchased and how much is needed?
Glad you asked. I will be putting out a 1 year update really soon. It has held up better than I expected honestly, not one peeling issue. I have been out in 100 degrees weather, put gar in the boat with no tears, hard rain. It actually amazing, it's so easy to clean. I used 2 1/4 sheets of the Duck Camo. The link I am providing, you will need to select the camo option, click duck camo, and type is cut groove. Stay tuned for a full review very soon. @@fishingistherapy thank you for the comprehensive reply! Much appreciated, I'm subscribed. I've got the 1448 tracker grizzly but going to move to the Grizzly 1754 for more space (dogs/family).
Glad I could help. I plan to upgrade in the future as well. Looking at more hp first. Inky have a 20hp which bogs down with the family on board. But I hope you enjoy the turf as much as I have.
Great video. Thank you for going over all the little details. My only criticism is you need to step up your rod holder game. Get some fishbite, monster, or smackdown rod holders. If you are gonna do it, do it right.
Your welcome. Glad you enjoyed the video. I wanted to try out the cheap rod holders in the back seeing that I don't catfish or troll that much and see how I like them positioned before purchasing monster rod holders for the back. But the cannon rod holders are solid.
The hydroturf has been amazing. Keeps the boat so much cooler, couldn't deal with the hot days without the turf and bimini top. Both together are best.
You did a fantastic job and that material is beautiful!
Thanks it turned out amazing. Going to be putting out an update on how it held up really soon.
6:43 🙂 Nice job, great video!
Means alot. Thanks for staying tuned and checking out the content.
Very nice video sir! From using the rolling pin, to explaining the edge differences.
Yeah, it's the little things that count. Thanks for watching I appreciate it.
A beautiful job. Does momma know you used her rolling pin? Tight lines.
Thanks, I appreciate it. 😂I bought my own for this job, wouldn't use anything I use for food on my boat.
Good Job!
Thanks Jeff, glad it turned out well and that you enjoyed the video.
Awesome video and commentary...and execution..Chris is the man🤟❤😎 can't wait to feel the feel on my bare feet when it gets warmer 😀
Thanks..it was detailed work but well worth it.
What a up grade night and day difference
Yes indeed. Changed my comfort level, ease of washing, traction, heat level in boat...man this stuff is still running strong.
Great job bruh... looks awesome
Appreciate that bruh...time to put it to good use. Thanks for watching.
Great Video and content..... I'm glad I stumbled across your channel. I'll definitely support by grabbing some goodies.
I greatly appreciate the support. Glad you enjoyed the content. I will definitely checkout your channel as well.
That looks good bro
Thanks. It took some focus but turned out good. Definitely will help out on those hot days.

Have you had any issue with the hydro turf sticking to the diamond plate floor?
Absolutely not. This was my main concern, 1 full season down and its holding strong! Can't complain.
Thanks for the input. Fish on!
@@marcusmonaco7422 Indeed, get that therapy booooyy!
since you have some left I’d put some between your rod holders on the gunnel so your reels don’t slap agains the aluminum
Good idea. Will definitely look into it!
Did it help in the sun from getting so hot?

You'll burn your rear end through jeans on a hot day in a jonboat.
@@chrisj2713 Done it before and made sure it didn't happen again!
What kind of boat is that?
It's a aluminum 1448 weldbilt jon boat.
How much did you use
I used about 2 and 1/4 sheets give or take.
