Darn it, I missed the live once again, and had to catch the replay. Resolutions - I gave up on those a long time ago. Temperature here 25 F - -4 C. On nib point size the majority of my pens have a Fine point size with the odd Extra Fine, and by design very few Mediums. For me mediums are too middle of the road so to have one it has to be really exceptional (I think I have maybe 3 or 4). I find that I tend to write small, and a Fine nib facilitates that. It's only within this last year, I tried a 1.5 mm Stub nib, and loved the character it gave my writing. I have sworn off 1.5 mm as having too much character once I tried a 1.1 mm Stub which does not necessarily force me to write larger. I'm also really impressed with the Pilot WA, FA, and PO nibs that I have in their own Pilot Custom Heritage 912. I've also been avoiding broads since I feel they are just wider without character. Oh, dip pens, I have quit a few now that have snuck up on me!! Tonight, Saturday my time, I think I've finally been able to make a credible recreation of the Serendipity Dip pen. To make it, I used a straight nib holder from Osprey pens. Then I just received my order for a grab back of different Ebonite feeds, and found the right one to fit the pen holder. For the nib, I used a replacement 1.1 mm Stub from Goulet Pens that I've had for a while. All I had to do was take out the steel ferrule insert that holds a dip nib, matched up the 1.1 mm stub with my chosen Ebonite feed, and fit them both in the opening. This was the closest & most successful attempt that totally works. New pens - I got a J. Herbin rollerball converter pen that uses bottled ink on a whim - really inexpensive. I also have a vintage Parker 21, and the new Gravitas first ever Piston filler the Carbon Black on the way. I also ordered the Majohn B25 - a Parker 25B clone/tribute/copy pen. Last but not least, you may have seen them, I ordered from ESYBUY the Majohn C5 Piston pen - not the usual Piston pen. Have a good week Garry.

@@zeus52452 thanks. I found it a really interesting discussion about the nib sizes, for something that’s a very personal choice I found it interesting that there were so many similarities in peoples thinking.
I’m still waiting patiently before I order a new pen, I’ve got my eye on quite a few.

There is no "Scented Chat", yet. So I have to ask: Forest Gateau is a beautiful ink, but it is scented, isn't it?

PS: I love the Draco as well, but you cannot buy it in Europe any longer.

I should remember to mention aboput the scents, although unless I'm smelling the bottle I don'y really notice them. The biggest thing I've noticed with scented inks is that they tend to be very wet.
The Draco was a limited release (from memory it was either 2000 or 5000) but I can't remember which. The Kai was the same body but in a different colour.

@@GarryEves Thank you so much for this information. I am in favor of the purple, not the blue - what a pity!

I must admit one of my all time favourite pens is the Waterman Carene which came with a medium nib but I recently picked up a used section with a broad nib ❤

I'll have to watch for some of those Broad nibbed sections. I can't imagine how wet they would be.
