Mount Saxon Georgetown Colorado - Moderate Trail

- Ranking as a low-moderate trail, Mount Saxon offers stunning views and steep shelf roads. Online sources rate it as Hard, but since the landslides have been cleared, it's pretty easy going. We highly recommend this trail for any 4x4 with high clearance and recommend taking the Cascade Creek trail back down for additional scenery and a different view.

Thanks this is helpful. Considering gravel biking from Idaho Springs to Georgetown via South Spring Gulch Rd, Lamartine Rd, then down Saxon Mt but wanted to know what I'm up against.
I did this trail 20 years ago.. Despite all the recent rock slides it seems like a paved road since I did it...
Same did this in the 90s w a stock trooper. There’s a way that leads over to my Evan’s rd and some ghost towns in between.
The paved road at the beginning seems rather bumpy. I am enjoying your videos, thanks for posting.
Nice video Kerry. Great music selection and interesting drone shots. You da man!
I would like to talk to you about airing down and the equipment you use/carry. Great videos!!! We are noobs and these are very helpful
