This makes me really wish they’d done a large scale System model of the Batmobile from The Batman with some Technic features like steering, rather than the fully Technic model they did do. It could have looked so good.
I absolutely agree!! The large technic models, although I can appreciate them and understand why they do it as Technic, they just don’t do it for me. I much prefer the brick-dominant models like this one and the Mustang etc
Same, that and the BVS batmobile… I bet either will happen someday
I love that it is also the same size as the Mustang. Makes for a nice display. Now all we need is a Charger or Challenger!
Lookin sharp, Jang. I’m digging the color-coordinated polo 🙂
I love these creator expert cars, hope they continue with them
I'm sure they definitely will. The fact that they've bumped it up to 3 per year suggests they're not going anywhere
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not even into cars but I think the model is very, very nice.
There is however no excuse for the blue tiles visible behind the wheels. Especially for a 170$ set. I’m not sure how much more difficult the build would be if they were gray or black, but isn’t a tiny bit of difficulty part of building with LEGO’s?
I agree. The set itself is marked as 18+ there shouldn't be any need to try and make the build "easier"
I appreciate the aluminium silver for the rims ! It really gives a better global finition 🙂
But bumpers should have been in silver chrome instead of common light bluish grey 😔, especially for the Icons theme.
The Mustang didn't have chrome bumpers, plus it probably would have increased the price by $10-$20
Love the subtle bit of music when you "tore the roof off" 😆 the reminder that we are of the same generation 👍🏿💯
I like this set, though I would like to add that they did a good job making it easy to swap between the hard top and convertible versions. All shared parts don’t even move, so you can just pull off one and plug in the other just needing a couple little pieces to fill in the gaps. Even easier than changing the stripe colors.
I'd love to see a '66 Corvette, '68 Impala, '70 Challenger and a '70 Cuda in this series someday. In my opinion Lego would have no problem selling those classics. Great vid Jang! I'll have to pick this up some day.
I loved this set so much when I bought it. I asked my friend to paint the dots on the dice it it made the set even better
It’s a nice set for $170, I like the options of switching out the stripes and making it a convertible. I don’t like the placing of the blue tiles either, I don’t think it would be that hard to find black or grey pieces to make it blend in more.
If the camaro is yellow it will look like bumblebee
I've actually seen one of the '69 Camaros used for filming the first Bay Transformers film. It was in a Museum I visited in 2014.
Ahhh 1969, such a great year. I wasn't alive but it sounds like a very nice year
I got the Optimus Prime set recently, now this set is gonna be the next thing I get. I’m predominantly a LEGO Star Wars collector, but I’m starting to branch out more, and this looks absolutely stunning.
The front grille looks so good to me. Love the technic air splitter below. Would've been nice to have a bar to put under the hood as a support, even if it wasn't built into the car itself but as a side build. Really wish all the decals were prints and not stickers, but it's worth the extra detail.
Hello Jang, I am a longtime viewer, I have been watching your reviews for several years now and I really appreciate and enjoy them. You give balanced, comprehensive, honest and complete reviews while still showing appreciation for the product. Thank you for you hard work and consistency. Please continue to produce these, you have a dedicated viewer here.
The Shirt matches the set, nice touch!
I appreciate the shirt matching the set and another great review! Thanks Jang!
bought and built this set the other day! Thought i would treat myself and i couldnt be happier! btw my hood stays open just fine which is great! Love the tactility of the doors, the satisfying CLUNK when i close them, one of the best looking lego sets i have seen in a while! :)
This looks so good. Got this set and look forward to building it. Thanks for the review Jang.
JANG really tore the roof off this review.
I like that your shirt matches the car colours
Nice Method and Red reference there.
I love all the Creator cars. This looks so clean!!!
The blue under the wheel wells could be the bushings and shocks and balljoints. I say that because moog parts are from what I have seen in rebuilding a 1980 z28 are primarily blue rubber
Camero is one of those cars I’ve always loved. Excited to see it and hear your thoughts
All we need now is a squarebody in that scale
Just finished putting this together this past weekend. Loved it so much i bought the 67 mustang to display next to it. However, I just noticed after watching your video, the floor should of been red for the carpet. The gray now sticks out to me.
This Camaro looks way fantastic! And being able to modify it with other colors and making it into a convertible, that's just great! Very realistic looking as well, getting a real die-cast car would probably be a little less pricey, but still, love this build!
Absolutely gorgeous set. One of my buddies has the Mustang and I'm gonna be picking this one up so we can compare them side by side
Thanks Jane, been asking for this one in the livestreams and glad you delivered
Really like how the outside surfaces are all covered up and smooth.
A few more prints instead of stickers and it could be perfect.
As someone with connections to Michigan, it’s always so funny to see Michigan recognition pop up out of nowhere!
I'm thinking the new wheel-arch pieces could be laid flat on the ground or on roofs for the top of shafts, ducts, etc?
Love the matching shirt!
I got the 007 Creator Expert car and was so blown away I immediately grabbed the Mustang and Porsche. Then I got the Pick-up Truck and absolutely gotta grab this one!
Great review as usual!
Interesting that your hood didn't stay open/doors don't close all the way because the do on mine. Probably just a difference in the exact positioning of the parts during the build and I got lucky
It's a Gorgeous set. I drive a 2015 Challenger and I love that classic 1970's look and this set nails that. If I get a lego car set its either this the Delorian or perhaps the James bond set.
now they need to make a 1970 Dodge Challenger/Plymouth 'Cuda
WO!!!!! ✊✊✊
I love how your shirt matches the set ;)
Shirt choice was on point today. Great review too.
Hey Jang! You’re dressed in a similar colour scheme as the model under review;))
I’m glad Chevy got some love
I’ve loved the 1969 Camaro for my entire life. I know every inch of what makes this car special. They nailed nailed it.
Was the shirt intentional? Lol I've been watching since the early 2010s and are always enjoyable. Happy Legoing!!
Excellent set though hugely expensive. Definitely agree about the straight forward build process which doesn't feel all that different from the Mustang, but a little less advanced than maybe the Porsche. Having just built the T2, and loving the unique build process throughout with so many complaints about it being too advanced/difficult I can see why Lego kept this one a lot more simplified in the construction. Still looks great, love the new fender panels, and the effortless swap between hardtop/convertible. Definitely on the list of sets to get for next year.
This is a really done model. I don't like the crazy colors showing up behind the front wheels, but that's about my only issue.
I love the door hinges and those thingies on the car body the doors slot into (not sure what they're called.
Nice reference to Model Team. I guess cars like this are like the modern equivalent to Model Team. We don't see many of the semi trucks and vans, boats, helicopters etc anymore though.
I'd love to see this side by side compared to the Mustang.
I got that for a Christmas present, and I just finished it a few minutes ago.
Nice review again. Nice model; finish/value is okay; no chrome (silver at least) bumper is lacking.
Is there any suggestion of pedals on the driver's side floorboard?
I really want them to do this for the Lamborghini Diablo SV or Countach old school not the modern one ❤️
My favorite bit was that the “P4N T3R” license plate is supposed to spell “PANTHER”, the name the Camaro was originally going to have!
I'm ususally not a fan of Not minifig sets but I MUST admit how good this build is!
That license plate is a great Easter egg!
So are the creator expert cars (hopefully will also be trucks as well) all scaled the same so they look well together?
They are reasonably close. Nowadays they have the same wheels but certain body dimensions might be off from each other by a small degree. They’re not exactly the same scale but close enough to look good together.
How long does it take to build and was it complicated like a technic I want to get this it looks really good
looks very nice. doubt i'll get it (there are MANY other lego sets i want to to get, and my budget is very limited), but it is sweet. LOVE the popsicles as the side mirrors.
I might get some of those new fender pieces to make an oval shaped window.
Wow that looks sick!!!!
If they included parts to make the roof white I’d buy it in a heartbeat. This is the exact model of car used as the titular “Stylo” car in the Gorillaz music video.
That's a great shirt, Jang!
Hopefully they’ll do tuner cars in this scale w pieces you can exchange like that blue mustang. Maybe a Supra or an evo 8!
Did the mustang have any pieces done specifically for the mustang?
This one here looks amazing and the wheel arches really are perfect. The pieces on the tail end of the Porsche have done a great deal of good for that model too.
Despite a few flaws (especially too many stickers and those weird colors), I do still very much like it. I do feel the price is too high too, and I will wait for a good discount. As for those extra pieces, on the one hand I do appreciate those options, but on the other, without those it could have easily been €20 cheaper. And one thing I have been wondering before with the Fender: why don't they just make a new version in another color (how about yellow and black) next year? I bet there would be lots of fans who would just buy every color Lego would come up with.
i love the convertible :-) But i dont agree the yellow bricks in the trunk vor example.
It’s very nice. I was waiting for them to do another car. Hope it isn’t retired by the time I get enough cash together
Hey jang absolutely love the content.. Do you have a review of the new Castle coming out? The 90th Anniversary one?
Its so beautiful 😻
Love the look. I feel it's about $20 to high. Sure you get the extra pieces to build to your taste. But in the end you have extra pieces not being used like the Porsche does too
Idc if it's not to scale I'm definitely changing up some of the seat pieces and seating some mini figs in there. It'll look like kids taking dads car for a joy ride hahaha
absolutely amazing set
I like it a lot more than the Mustang, glad I held off from getting that one.
I do hope I can find it for less than 120 like the Ford.
Man, I wish I could afford to collect these creator expert cars. They're all so gorgeous. I think those new fenders are perfect though, and I can only imagine what they'll be used for next. I see them being popular with a lot of plate based buildings.
I really miss Model Team. It was my favorite Lego theme next to Technic.
Can someone explain why the striping on the front is 3 studs wide and in the back it's 4 studs wide? It looks weird to me.
i received my set about a week ago. the sticker sheet was all jacked up against the instructions. the michigan plate sticker was off the sheet and stuck on the back of the book. still awaiting lego to replace my stickers.
I personally like stock Color as for headlights and optional convertible it be hard to choose now they need 2nd, 3rd 4th 5th 6th gen same scale
Well, I just wish the Creator Expert Mustang came out with these fender parts and fully enclosed inner fenders...
Very cool set! it would be perfect without these blue pieces behind the wheels.
I might use my VIP points towards this!
Is the car in scale to the mustang?
How do you like it compared to Porsche 911 or other Creator Expert cars?
They should have included mirror stickers for the popsicles
I was considering buying this set but the blue behind the tire ruined the possibility for me
That is a very matching shirt.
Hey Jang. Are you still planning on releasing a review of the new Lion Knight's Castle?
The set would be so good if the random under colors weren’t so visible. Instantly notice the blue at the start of the video. That has to be better for a pricey display piece.
We need a 58 Plymouth belvedere Christine kit
We need a 57' Chevy Bel Air or something else that's older than what they usually do.
Being from Europe, I’m not really into muscle cars, but man…. This does look good. Way better than the mustang in my opinion.
I hope Lego could do more Super car for creator line. There was only Ferrari F40 so far
Not saying it for this set, but I think sometimes i can excuse bright colored pieces in sets (especially star wars) if i think about it like wiring or some kind of plate in the structure of something.
Amazing model, just a little over my budget unfortunately.
Also- that Redman track was perfect!
I have nine of the creator expert cars but this one just isn't grabbing me. Maybe if I find it on sale. I would like them to do an older car for once maybe a Packard or Studebaker.
I just want to see a 70 malibu/chevelle. In literally any scale
I like the Mustang alot more but its a pretty good build
This looks really good. Thanks for showing it to us.
But man, these superfluous colors. That really needs to stop.
For lego being lego i feel lego scored a perfect score here.
Wow
Gorgeous looking build shame the colours behind the wheels that's what irks me the most but I still will be buying it just looks too good
