My dad is having the first generation of the unicorn150, 2005 model. It still feels new to drive and the refinement and comfort levels are outstanding, even after 13years and clocked near to 2 lakh kilometers..!!!! Only Honda could make such a superb and insane bike.. Much greater than the hornet and the unicorn160. it deserves value for money bike, I've to say...!!!! HATS OFF TO HMSI...!!!!
From 2011 I using this bike ,what a bike with super pick up and millage ,especially mono suspension,in these five years I can't find any better bike than unicorn, I always love my brother my citi(my unicorn bike) 😊

I have rode on entire hilly konkan area, in muddy jungle parts of sahyadri. Never had any issue with the bike and after so many years, the engine is running smooth. I am big fan of Honda unicorn. Will go for another Unicorn after this
Unicorn 150 has the best instrument cluster (meter console). No need of digital. We can use mobile holder. I have Unicorn 150 2011 Model. Still running smooth like butter with milage 50-55 and power more than my friend's 2018 Model. Old is gold.

i am using this black beauty. it gives me a mileage of 75kmpl on highways when i ride 50-60kmph. city 55kmpl. one drawback is that the rear wheel skids. so please use front disc. 70% front disc and 30%rear brake will make u stop the bike without skid. rest all is ok. no back pain. thanks to honda.

But now I was looking to change and couldn't find any bike that meets my requirements. CB160 Uni - I heard that bike is having lot of issues, and that's one of the reason why 150 is back in market Hornet 160 - Looks interesting, but not sure whether it has the same refinement like the uni150 Other than honda I have Gixxer, Apache 180 and Yamaha FZ in my mind. My requirements: Basically in and around Rs 1 lakh Riding mainly on city roads, but weekend long rides; planning some long distance rides next year Comfort, durability and low maintaining cost are my priorities than aggressive look, more power and top speed. Still won't go back to 110CC from 150.

Hope you know where the Unicorn comes from ryt? Unicorn is made for Indian but the underneath chassis and engine is the same which was in MOtoGP. Please do study the History of HONDA u will get to know.

I beg to differ with the changes you mentioned. I own a Unicorn 150cc which I bought in 2013 December. In my bike indicators are body colored, there is 3D emblem on the tank. Graphics were silver colored in the new one it seems to be white. Mirrors have definitely changed.
That may be true, because the bike underwent many changes since it was first launched more than a decade ago. But the bike that was discontinued in late 2014 was not that different from the new one..

I did 122 On highway, 0 to 90 is quick and easy, 90 to 100 is little sluggish, above 100 it takes a lot of time. One of my friend did 130 on his Unicorn.

+Naga Rajan : The Shine SP CBS version costs less than the Unicorn 150. Shine SP CBS has a 3-pot caliper front disk brake setup while the Unicorn has 2-pot caliper. Brakes : Shine SP is better. Engine Unicorn is better.

I test drove 160 but opted to wait for 3 months and got 150 just for its conservative look. 160 console is modern and the engine is responsive and better refined. My 150 gives me 45KMPL.

You are showing 122 kgs weight but actually it is exactly is the weight of 146 kgs.

We noticed those changes with the bike we rode earlier.

Go for the R15 if it fits your budget.
R15 Speed and costly, Gixxer super city performance and no comfort, Unicorn Comfort and mileage but no speed above 110. Choice is yours.
bro is dz bike smoother than hero hunk or pulsar 150??? I have not taken test drive yet becoz it will b available in the middle of March but am very excited to purches it currently am using pulsar150 which is 3years old.... plz do reply

+Naga Rajan : The Shine SP CBS version costs less than the Unicorn 150. Shine SP CBS has a 3-pot caliper front disk brake setup while the Unicorn has 2-pot caliper. Brakes : Shine SP is better. Engine Unicorn is better.

motor beam please suggest best comfortable, for both driver and passenger, low seat height so elderly people can sit easily and engine doesn't make noise and good mileage.

Both are the same : comfort and mileage. The old 150 had nice dials, looks nice. New 160 looks UGLY, but has a nice motor.

I test drove 160 but opted to wait for 3 months and got 150 just for its conservative look. 160 console is modern and the engine is responsive and better refined. My 150 gives me 45KMPL.
You got the 150 over the 160 for just its looks? I would love the 150 with the 160's engine and better brakes. Do you regret having gone with the 150?
No regrets. I love U-150. Its just simple and bold looking. On the 2nd service they gave a teflon polish which attracted more attention.
