Otis returns to the Firehouse after being injured on the job and is immediately put on desk work. Meanwhile, Severide's mother comes to Chicago and immediately clashes with Kidd. Casey and Dawson's relationship is tested after a revelation about Cordova. A private ambulance company joins Brett and Dawson on several calls and tempts Dawson to consider joining them until she sees their less-than-Hippocratic ethics. After Otis tracks the parents of a young boy rescued from a swimming pool accident, and gives the boy to his father, the mother sues the CFD and the city-until Otis discovers it's a fraud. Severide and Stella get a shock from Severide's father Benny when they return home from a shift.

And the Karen award of the year goes to that lady who attempted to scam the fire department. Also top tip never leave those family stickers on your car because it tells everyone (robbers) how many people live in your house or are in your family.
Exactly its scary i see them all the time me and my family have talked about it and always when we see one we say well thats how many live in their house
There is a family where i live that makes christmas statues of their whole household for christmas and displays it on their yard it scares me for them
Also putting the names on there as well. If the child is really young they are normally more trusting of people who know their name. The kidnapper could easily pretend to be a family friend and take the child. It also gives away if there is any girls in the house which are more likely targets for kidnappers
Stickers uglify your car. That's the reason above all else to not put those on your car.

Firefighters are required by law to be psychic, everybody knows that
You can't just give a kid to the person who picks them up they didn't check I'd or records so technically they could of rang someone woth the same name who wasn't his dad and given them to him. Realistically their would be a lot more checks before he could go home
(no hate) Medical records, if he's been under a certain psychiatrist for example, it'd be on his papers

You know, the actor playing her is a real person who has feelings.
I feel like someone who leaves their little kid at a pool like their a daycare with a drowning risk doesn't have the right to call their ex who clearly cared about the son's safety a lunatic. Off note, I feel like someone going straight to a news network over a simple misunderstanding and threatening a lawsuit or cutting a large sum of money does not have their kid's best interests at hand. That's also a huge amount of gratitude for you, those people put their lives at risk to save their kid's life and this is how they thank them. Reminds me of that dude from the Incredibles who sued Mr. Incredible from saving him from killing himself.
On another episode of “my temper would get me fired” I would have insulted that woman’s parenting, no apology here.
I love Chicago Fire, but I really miss Otis. The scammers should be arrested for what they did, they committed a crime, no excuses.

This is in no percent the CFDs fault. They shouldnt have left their child at the pool. Is they were to be arrested, they would be charged with: Conspiracy to commit fraud, Child neglect, and maybe even Child endangerment

If I ever get saved by a first responder, I will send them a boquet of flowers, a thank you card and guy in a suit to do a little dance while delivering it.
I mean how was the fire station supposed to know that the father didn't have custody! The child didn't present any signs of terror of the dad (I guess since he called his dad by his full name and his mom just mommy > from the part before this)

It's not even about the fact they tried to scam. It's the fact they dared scamming the very people that saved their kid from being electrecuted.
