Broncos defense was great (a little overrated in terms of all-time but definitely one of best of this era). That Panthers team was a great team, one of the 10 best in the 2010s and them beating the Seahawks and Cardinals are proof of that. Cardinals were a very good team and these Seahawks were peaking at the right time (did have injuries down the stretch) and towards the end of the year were as dominant this year like they were in 2012, 2013 and 2014 down the stretch.
I’ll never forget this game, it was the year I started to really get into football and I was stuck at my little sisters Birthday party and I had to go to the roller rink with my family and thankfully this game was on one of the TVs so I kept coming back to check on the score and I remember being stressed af during this game but thankfully Carolina won it

This is probably not the most popular opinion but looking back I think this team was probably a little overrated (and I'm a Panthers fan). Obviously you have to be a good team to go 15-1 but I don't think they were an all time great team. I mean they were 7-8-1 the year before and 6-10 the year after. Also remember how many big leads they blew and had to hang on at the end to win. I think they were a good (but not great) team that caught quite a few breaks, played a fairly easy schedule, and Cam Newton had one year where he got hot. In the rankings of all the 15-1 teams they would definitely be closer to say the 2011 Packers or 2004 Steelers (who neither made the Superbowl) end of the list than to the 1986 Bears or 1984 49ers (who dominated the whole way). I prob wouldn't even put them ahead of the 1999 Vikings (who flat out choked away the NFC title game).
