I don't think I've ever seen someone have as much fun playing the guitar as Paul Gilbert. Every video I've ever seen of him playing in any context, he looks like he's in absolute heaven.
if someone would ask me with which guitar player I would like to hang out, it would be definitely Paul Gilbert. Not only because he is a master on this instrument, but mainly because he seems to be such a nice and humble guy.
Is this a shorter scale? It is not the micro guitar that is for sure at least. I do see this one has 22 frets. But yeah, I also prefer a bit shorter scale. 25 is perfect for me, also for 7 strings. 25.5 is just too long for good comfort.
I notice that so many of the God-like guitar players seem to have a few extra chromosomes for long pinky fingers. Paul, Vai, Buckethead, Josh Meader, Matteo Mancuso, Daniel Owen…Guthrie’s are slightly alien as well. Hendrix basically had Long-Fingered Lemur hands.

OMG The man knows every damn rock song ever written. I especially loved hearing him play Majestic by Journey. Now I have to go back and relearn it.
