slick tires for tarmac!... mine used to fly once the nubs wore down!.. had an aftermarket motor for it too with balanced armature.. thing would keep up with cars goin down the street!... had it 2 days till the battery overheated and all but caught fire, melted and twisted the whole tub!... took it back to the shop and got a replacement no questions asked!...
One of my favorite cars! I have a runner and a NIB one. Yea it does not handle that well, it bounces, but it is just so cool! I run mine with a Tamiya sport tuned motor, a hobbywing 1060, and lipo batteries. I did add an ampro engineering transmission brace which helps it a ton (no more transmission slap) and it gets full suspension travel from it. It moves pretty good for an old hopper. Cheers!
Another classic. Looks superb!! The hornets and the hoppers are great fun. I’m inspired to get one to help me get over my obsession for holiday buggies!!!
You drive like my Nan !!! She was the ERFRA champion 9yrs in a row before she found bungee jumping . Never heard of this Super Hornet you speak of ? Looks nice I'm off to research it now .
This was my first hobby grade RC. I wish I knew where it was. I remember it broke somewhere, maybe front a arm or shock tower. I beat mine tho I was like 10. Hope I can find it and restore it
Good luck mate I have the same story although I'm sure it's lost now :( my brother made me brass/stainless Billet front/rear rims for me when he was an apprentice machinist
For some reason the super hornet had the worst quality decals. The design was good but the material of the decal was atrocious, they were super thin not really flexible and peeled off easy. If big T rereleases thevkitvthe decals need to be much better.
great memories. I had one 24 years ago. I used to run mine with a technigold motor, crazy speed. thanks for the memories

Excellent thanks for watching buddy 😊👊🏻
Same here. Was amazing
I restored my Super Hornet, too. It was my first RC kit and I'm so happy that I still have it!
Cool intro music, NoiceSuper Hornet. I have one coming in the mail 👍👍

Thanks for sharing. You dont realize how far RC is come till you see the old stuff hit dirt/pavement.
Had two of em as a kid in late 80s early 90s the best super hornett
I still have mine. Beat up and we'll used from my childhood. It's been a dream of mine to one day restore it.
Excellent thanks for watching my friend 😊👊🏻

The old school remote n the old school rig is definitely awesome! 👍😎
Never seen one of these until today. Not as pretty as the standard hornet but a nice looking buggy.
Great run with a bouncy Tamiya beauty! 👌
I really like this car. Rear bounces so much. Ever adjust shock oil weights to fix that?
Nice Video! I think im going to do a video of my Tamiya Wild One.

Nice run. Typical Tamiya bounce lol.

That thing runs sweet
This was my first RC car when I was a kid, still the best Christmas ever. Do you think there will be a rere super hornet?
Liked and subbed! Great video!👍
Did you ever fix that steering? And if so how? Great vid 👍
I keep looking at Hornets. Never owned one.
My dad built my one ♡
3:57 perfect pause
Don't run them on asphalt, just eats those rear tyres. : )
Fun buggy.

It would be nice to see it again, especially to be able to get the front tyres again 🤩👊🏻
