Bestie update: I figured that after a while of wearing the strap will stretch out. Maybe try 16 rows for the strap for a more optimal length 🥰

If i use 3 colors will it still be checkered? I wanna make one for my cousin and she want 3 colors
he means 16 squares which is 32 rows
@@oriiqyou can make a checkered pattern with three colors, just google 3 color checkered pattern to see how you should arrange the colors, but if you’re using 3 colors you could also make it a gingham pattern which is pretty similar
For a bigger bag:
Chain up 52
8 rows for the bottom of dc
20 rows for the body
And handstrap the same ❤️

LOVEEEE the Tutorial but idk if it’s just me but I was a little confused because the video was from a overhead Perspektive and I turned my phone to see the video from your perspective so it was easier to understand. It‘s needs to be sturdy and strong since you wanna put weight into the bag. Otherwise it stretches down to the back of your knee 😂

LOOOVE this bag and great tutorial!! Question though as I didn’t quite pick it up: when you’re crocheting the sides of the bag, do you do the slip stitch and chain up two after every row? Going to try to make this myself!💙🤍

I made the bag first without the checkered pattern (so just one solid color) and that really helped me understand how everything works :)

A similar idea I had to make this bag was to use the Tunisian crochet method which is a cross between crochet and knitting.

hey henri. great tutorial, rlly loved it. I have a question about the main body of the bag. After i finish one round in the body do I chain up two or not, cause i didnt understand from the tutorial
I finished this bag today and its so cute! also it was so quick and easy which we love :)
How long did it take ?
@@ceyda7156 I worked on it for about 1-2 hours for four days so all in all it would be about 7-8 hours in total which is a pretty short project in my opinion, if you worked really hard at it you could probably finish it in a day.

how much yarn did you need? i´m currently online shopping for yarn because i dont have much anymore..but how much do i need for this bag? like how much did u use?
@@dfdfdfdf4512 I used a thinner yarn, so I chrocheted instead of 4 stitches 8 for one square, with this pattern I needed 3 yarns from one colour and for the other colour also 3, but when you use a thicker yarn, you maybe only need 1 or two of each colour!! (I hope that helps)

How did you manage to get the strap to curl itself inwards while crocheting? Mine doesn’t do that and I’ve come too far to redo it but I’m still very happy with the results!!

You could try with only one colour
But keep it going I'm sure you'll be able to do it ❤️ (and after 2 years crocheting I still end up with everything tangled and crying)

For the sides of the bag, we dc back loop or two loop together like the bottom of the bag? ( I hope i made it clear)

Love this tutorial! Will just using one color work to make the shape of the bag? I love the shape but I don’t want it to be checkered. Just one solid color. Will it make a difference?
That works just fine with one color too :)
So I'm using black and yellow for my bag and I used the yellow as the chain and the first square. I got the first black square in fine but not I'm going to my second yellow square but the yellow thread is still on the last square. So when I'm starting the second yellow square there is the yellow thread going over the black and not weaved in. I hope this makes sense because I feel like I missed a step and I don't know if this is normal or I just didn't do something. Help!
You have to lay the yellow yarn in between your stitches while crocheting the black square :)
