Us DJ's LOVE BASS! For the size and weight of this speaker it puts out pretty good bass. I love this speaker the more and more I use it. I have yet to go through a full battery in a single event, so it's been money well spent. Thinking about getting another one.
how does a videographer connect to this unit in order to record the mic sound. I was using my Yorkville Emobile and they would connect their mic in the output, but the eon only has a thru
Have you figured out a way to attach a shelf to the column? Feel like I've seen somebody 3D printing custom shelf attachments, etc. Want a shelf for iPad, mics, etc, for Ceremony.
great video. one of the columns is a battery, one is a speaker, and one is a blank.. do you think you could swap the blank with another battery so you have a backup, and double the battery life?
That’s a great idea. I don’t think the batteries slots line up to allow that to happen, but will need to verify that. I wish they did though. That would be awesome and would make another reason to buy more of these speakers. I may post to JBL and ask them to make it happen. Lol. I really like that idea.
Depends on what you're using it for. For applications that need more base I would go JBL MK2 ALL DAY, but for vocals (JBL is good, but) I would always go with BOSE. They always have some dark magic built into their systems that make vocals sound amazing.
I would take the JBL EON over the BOSE Pro 8 because of the battery, a TON more features, and sheer portability. As far as sound goes it's completely preference.
Compared to the BOSE S1 Pro, the JBL EON MK2 is a lot louder and has more bass. Compared to the BOSE L1 Pro, the BOSE is louder, has more bass, and a wider dispersion pattern. The JBL is a perfect ceremony speaker or fill speaker, but I would recommend a step up for a wedding reception or event that requires significant bass.
@@Ilovedjcdub , I am a new subscriber here. I am thinking of buying this JBL Eon One mk2 for an outdoor wedding ceremony, but here in this comment section you say that you would recommend "a step up" in such a case. Please let me know how to do this "step up"? Your reply will help me a lot. Thanks.
I'll try and remember to do this when I release the Bose review. The Bose is going to have more bass and lower frequencies, but it'll still be a fun comparison to do.
I LOVE this speaker more and more every time I use it. I highly recommend. It has made my life 10 times easier and it looks great. I get compliments on the sound and looks at nearly every wedding.
I haven't timed battery life exactly, but based on my usage at higher levels I've been averaging about 6 hours, so their advertising of 6 hours for battery length has been accurate.
When using the MK2 (and Maui 5 Go) without a mixer yes the MK2 was without a doubt a lot louder than the Maui 5 Go. I love the Maui 5 Go (especially how it looks), but I wanted to cut down on the extra items (stands, mixers, etc.) I had to bring to cover a ceremony especially if I'm only going to be using 1 mic.
The 515xt’s are 15’s so they would have more bass. That said, pairing 2 MK2’s together is going to have a nice frequency response and give you the feel of more bass and the bass is nice and tight. If you want to get crazy, you could get the 2 MK2’s and still run the JBL’s as a center fill and hide them behind a façade so people would hear them but not see them (if you care about a balanced appearance). Since you would be running four speakers you would not need to turn them up as loud, but just balance the audio and you would have the presence of bass going down the middle and both the MK’s on the side which should sound nice.
It’s A LOT LOUDER, better quality sound, better mixer, and more efficient. It’s hands down and overall a much better speaker than the EON ONE. I actually passed on the eon one because it wasn’t loud enough for my needs, but when I heard the sound the quality and the bass for the size of this speaker I knew this was an automatic winner and was immediately sold. If you get two of these you can do a small event no problem.
@@Ilovedjcdub I have 2 JBL eon compacts and link them together and is decent but I’m gonna purchase the mrk 2 now and link it up with an eon compact ! Will be amazing I think
I’m taking your word for it! You seemed satisfied on the bass! Party ain’t a party without the bass!

Are these good enough for djing 100-200 people?
Im looking for this for a backyard speaker for parties. What do you think. Does it bump. How will it hold up for backyard big parties
Look forward to the sound test!
Sound test video will be out soon. Stay tuned!

Thank you, i feel better now about JBL.
It’s still working out well for me a couple months later. I had a bad start to the JBL system, but now it’s working out well.
What do you think of this one compared to a Bose pro8 ?

which sounds better between the jbl eon mk2 and the jbl prx one
How does it compares to the Bose ones, talking about overall volume and sound dispersion? Thanks for the review.

In your future sound test maybe you can A/B it to your Pro16. That would be the first on UA-cam!

Can you use the speaker on AC power without using the battery column?
I like this speaker, I was disappointed when I saw the first video, that the speaker doesn't work, now am thinking to get one of this.

So it’s a LOY louder than the Maui 5 gos? I one for ceremonies up to 150 and it’s definitely loud enough. (I pair it with a Denon prime go mixer)
