Hi Just finished installing the same flyscreen to my Boxer, great to follow your video really helped, I had to trim a bit off the upper runner on the left to get it to sit in properly. The top rattles just like yours when shutting the door. Thanks again David K
thanks for the message. I'm sorry to hear your rattles as well but also glad in a way as it means it was not just me being an idiot and installing it wrong.
Great product/vid, thank you. We've finished our sprinter conversion now and I wish that I'd seen this product before. The challenge now is to find a sliding cassette door type that will fit our van, as the zipper style ones look untidy. There's one for a Sprinter made by Remio and looking into that.
Thanks for this, I’m tempted! Did you screw or glue Battons to floor? I’ve been told the correct way is to add foil then a floating foil so no condensation forms on the wood 🤷🏻♂️
I used a good bead of sikaflex under the skirting bar and the 27mm wood batten it is fixed to is both sikaflex and screwed down. When i ply line the floor, along the edge to the doorway I am going to run another bead of sikaflex which will then be covered by my aluminum trim. the floor video is coming very soon which hopefully will tie up all the loose ends, just fitting the towbar first before finishing the floor in case need to access anything. hope that makes sense and thanks for watching.:-)
Looks great! How robust does opening and closing the fly screen feel? I'm wondering whether it's durable enough for regular use by children, or guests who aren't as careful. Thanks!
Thank you for your comment and for watching the video. If you pull from the middle for an even 'force' distribution it feels fine and works well and the mechanism stays nice and vertical, I would suspect if pulled from lower down or higher up it may not be quite as robust. also, the netting is good but is very light weight so a young child not realising it was closed would take it with them if they ran through the doorway. As a general round-up I would say that if operated by respect it should last for the life of the van.
Hi, I'm glad you found the video useful. If I remember correctly i used 40mm self drilling screws. They are actually the 'drywall' screws that screwfix sell. did the job just fine and were plenty long enough in fact.
I'm reluctant to give the measurement as everybody's vans are different, our seat is set quite far back to have more table space. also the fixing points will dictate to a degree the exact position. suggest getting your table into position and then play about with the position of the seat and then check underneath that you have fixings in that position.
Better to think of it more as a smell trap as without it the possibility of dirty water odour could drift up through the plughole. that's the idea anyway....
Have you been to Scotland to test if this mesh is fine enough to stop our tiny tenacious midge? The same comment applies to your window flyscreens? PS great video series.
We did go to North Berwick in May but no midges to be seen. Did not film anything as it was a golf jolly so not really a 'vanlife' thing! Thanks for the comment.
Good job and thanks for the video. I didn't find anyone in my language but yours was clear and I could understand the most. Or I think so! :) About the 20 mm measure, look that it is written equal or greater than 20 mm, so as you know 27 mm fits good. I think they should write 20 mm
Hi there. I’m currently building my own camper van conversion and could really use your help with installing the water tanks and pumps etc. if you are willing and able to help me please get back to me. Tia

Great videos, i have watched so many and have lots of questions for you😊
Keep these coming! I'm looking to get the L4H3 too. They are perfect for a raised floor for extra storage.
Thanks buddy.

Hi another great informative video, can I ask where the fly screen came from, thanks Gary
Thanks. at the time of ordering, Genesis Sportshomes were the cheapest.
Good information thanks for the insight was a bit concerned about fitting mine keep up the good work 🙂👍
Glad it helped
Hi great video it's helped alot!
How long do the self tapping screws have to be to secure the top C rail?
Thanks 👍🏻

What's your distance from bulkhead to solaway seat , I'm fitting same cheers great videos

Why is there a water trap on the waste pipe? Couldn't the pipe be connected straight through to the sink ?

Don't need music
I like your videos , but the music over your voice is very annoying .
