@@Ronny_Dahl youre wrong ,and Andrew, about rolling resistance and tire shape. The reason fat bikes have come into existence is because they have radically less rolling resistance over uneven terrain, and even on pavement, less rolling resistance. The only situation you my want a narrow tire is where the dirt and mud is composed in such a way that "cutting " down through a few inches of dirt gives the best traction. But... the less the tire deforms while rolling, and the less the dirt deforms from a vehicle rolling over it, the less resistance. You guys have it literally backwards. Yourube teaches us that anyone who makes regular content and sells stuff gets the clicks, irrespective if they are dumb. You guys are dumb.
When two legends meet. One from the past and the other, from modern times and sharing one thing in common; in-depth knowledge of 4x4 trucks. Love you both.💕💕👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
He’s a ripper bloke to talk to and the thought that’s gone into this 70 is nothing short of phenomenal. I like the brutal honesty that goes with him, quite literally the best modified videos you’ve made Sir Ronny. I think you’ve made it in life when the Sir David Attenborough of over land shows up on your channel.
I love that the two of f you are two sides of the same coin. The same love of the sport with similar but different experiences. I get so much from the both of you. Highly respect you both.
Two of my favorite 4x4 travelers in one video! Great job Ronny! You are very lucky to live in a country that offers such off road travel opportunities. Ronny, Andrew - Greetings from southern Poland.
That has to be one of the nicest Troopy's Ive ever seen. Thanks for giving us a more detailed view of ASPW's Troopy. I followed his build and pretty much every video he makes since about 2 years ago.
I realise this is 4 years after the fact but I really enjoyed this one...it was very informative, very thought through and practical. I liked the honesty about what you do and don't need - very pragmatic. It was even on the stock wheels! Sometimes you watch these shows and its all about lifts, wheels and big tyres and it can be very daunting for newbies. This shows you that it some cases you can get away with stock parts, some simple upgrades and get to places. Excellent work guys!
Great to see my two favourites in one place. I hope to see you guys in British Columbia one day. Our Four Wheel Drive Association of BC would lose it’s collective mind to show either of you around. I am learning to overland, thanks for all the help. I am especially glad that I don’t have to worry about camera gear.
Thank you Ronny. And thank you Andrew. Great video. I love that troopy so much. My ideal setup right there. You guys do an amazing job. The fact that you both are doing what you love shines from both of you. It's infectious. Keep up the great work. I'll keep watching.
This is literally THE BEST 1-2 person touring setup I have ever seen! Personally I would change some things (tyres, rims, lift, lights etc.) but other than that this troopy would have to be my all-time favourite 1-2 person tourer.
Hi Ron. What a fabulous video. This is precisely the type of video people want to see. Other people’s setup. All the stuff you never knew existed and used in a unique way. Excellent!
Incredible vehicle, some serious thought has gone into every detail. I bought Andrew's first 4wd DVD series years ago and great to see him still enjoying and sharing his passion.
I was following Andrew before I found your channel, it is great when you two get together, Andrew is even more fun when one gets him animated, great video.
im so happy you two are in the same local at the same time yet still plan your own things completely separate. this has a chance for unexpected run ins that should be supper awesome
Great job Ronny, You and Andrew have such different styles which make these videos so great. I want to see an adventure video with you and Andrew together show him around Western Australia this will be an adventure of a lifetime. Imagine a legend that has traveled the world with you and you will have all the overlanders, expedition and touring Fans flocking to your channel.
Ronny and Andrew in the same video! Holy ... smokes. Love it. I would love to see you guys do a "4x4 ethics" video where you talk about the different ethics of vehicle-dependent travel that you've seen around the globe, why it matters, and what kinds of behaviors you've seen cause additional regulations be imposed (e.g., in the USA). You both seem to do things well, all while we have places in the USA getting shut down over abuses of land-use resulting in restrictions.
I really love your channel Ronny and this episode with Andrew was awesome. I continue to learn so much from both of you as I build my rig. Cheers from Canada
Hi Ronny, both you and Andrew got me hooked on the idea of overlanding ever since I started watching your videos... Even though its hard to achieve over here in Malaysia, still its something I really aspire to... In the meantime, I do what I can, which is watching both your channels. Thanks!
Nearly wasn’t going to watch this one, I use to subscribe to 4xoverland but stopped after a long while, just something made me think i would not want to go on a trip with him. I am glad I watched as it is a great set up with a lot of info and tips. Thanks.
Great mind think alike , thank you both for the amazing contribution to 4wheel driving.....good luck , stay safe and have lots of fun in the process. Ciao 🙏⭐️🍀☘️💫👍💪 All the best mate...
My 2 favorite channels on youtube finally do a collaboration! love it! Thanks Ronny and Andrew. Hopefully we get to see a trip with both of yous soon. Keep up the good work you blokes are legends!
Great episode. Just subscribed to 4XOverland . . . a very interesting guy. Most all of this is universal regardless of your country. I like that he used the camp stove from the US. I've been wanting one but his recommendation made the difference.
He is amazing for his unbelievable cheek in basically telling people to go to work then to give him their hard-earned money so he can go on his jollies and not have to work for a living, and don't get me started on his shameless begging of companies to give him their products so he can put them on his builds, which he then flogs off, doubtless for a nice profit, after a trip or two, can't believe they fall for it.
Great mod ep. Obvs a bit different to the usual. Anyone who likes variety in overlanding adventure and learning from others will love this...as I did. Cheers
Great video guys. I always love to hear both of your opinions on various accessories and camping items. Andrew what an awesome touring vehicle you have 👍
What a great rig, you could go to the most remote places on the planet and sleep with the comforting sound of your refrigerator kicking on every 30 mins, whilst never having to acutally go outside.
Good work Ronny, very interesting. Andrew, I have a major apology to make to you. Quite some time back, I watched one of your videos (from memory about tagalong tours) and to be honest, I wasn't that impressed. You responded to my comment and suggested, very politely, that I should perhaps watch some of your other videos as well, to which I agreed. I have spent the past months doing exactly that and I have to say that I have completely changed my opinion! Excellent production, terrific story telling, highly entertaining and eminently watchable. I hereby commence consuming a very large portion of humble pie. As an aside, am loving your collaborative work with Ronny, you two make a great pair sharing your considerable wealth of 4WDing knowledge and experiences. Great stuff, subscribed to both channels!
4xOverland & Ronny Dahl Great Video. I'm living in Saudi Arabia and they have the door arm rests pockets here, the Saudi's love having a dash quilt as well..
yes Ronny, first thought about that console , the only gauge to go in there would have to be an EGT gauge, top rig Andrew well thought out, excellent vid Ronny
Great work Rohny and Peter, I have read somewhere that America do not allows import of Diesel SUV so pls check details b4 shipping. Good luck to both of you.
Awesome episode, and awesome vehicle! I'm more than a little jealous that we can't get fantastic 4wd vehicles like the troopy in NA. Still, tons of great ideas on this.
Wow great vid with a lot of great ideas. What I would give to sit around a camp fire and listen to the stories that you both could tell. By the way I have just started falling you both recently and I am amazed I didn’t find you sooner. Thanks for the great information that you are both sharing.
After watching ALL of Andrew's videos modifying his Troopy, I must say I would love one! Seems like a great compromise between a truck and the SUV's we have here in the States, especially when you don't need all of the passenger room. We have vans here, but nothing anywhere near as capable off-road as a Troop Carrier would be. Excellent video, I'd expect nothing less from you two. Andrew, if you read this, will you be doing any meet and greets on your trip through the US?
You two have such different styles which is what makes these videos so good.
Yea, you don't get all this MACHO Crap with Andrew
Good work Ronny and Andrew 👍 One hour and still easy to watch. Well done.
Cheers mate
Aussie Four Wheelers, ronny Dahl. I subsscraibet to this Chaneels 😎

Ronny and Andrew need to do a off-road trip together.
Just watched this video and thought the exact same thing. Would be awesome
They should test the Grenadier together
Like the odd couple
Oh please yes.
That would be awesome!

I met Andrew at the Perth 4wd show and had a good look at his Troopy. What a true gentleman and ambassador for the community. Great content Ronny 😉

As someone from Idaho, totally checking out that camp stove :D.
This is by far the best 4x4 overland I've seen. I find it simple, great use of space... form follows function.
That has to be one of the nicest Troopy's Ive ever seen. Thanks for giving us a more detailed view of ASPW's Troopy. I followed his build and pretty much every video he makes since about 2 years ago.

Maaan is that a rig! Every minute he opens something new and it's a new wow moment - very well thought out.
Revisited. This is one of the best thought out vehicles for this specific use there is. Excellent work!
That trophy is incredibly well sorted! Fantastic job Andrew and both of you for showing it to us in detail. Safe travels you two! Cheers from Germany
Nicely done Ronny :-)
4xoverland been watching both of you legends for years, its awesome to see both of you infront of the same camera!

I'm going to make one of those arm rests on the door, ant chance of getting the measurements?
Yeah I could show them some nice areas. I'm trying to get a Troopy in here.
Thanks Andrew. On the long road Home so I can watch yours👍
Nice to see you 2 together!

one day I will pay off hard work with a truck as nifty as this one! best video yet!

Very nice truck. Enjoyed watching the build logs on Andrew's channel. Looking forward to more collabs between you two!
Thanks Ronny and Andrew. One of my fav builds so well thought out. 😊
Ronny, you made this video work incredibly. Your guest is always a big talker because he knows his staff, but the conversation was cohesive.
My two favourite UA-camrs in one video. Pure awesomeness!
Thanks Ronny and Andrew, I really enjoyed today's modified, one of the best yet!
Andrew reminds me of my Dad , everything is laid out perfect and for a reason and is so neat and tidy
I've always enjoyed watching Andrew's builds on his channel, great video and great perspective on his troopy!
this is a great youtube episode with 2 charismatic guys that have been a big part of my interest in 4x4 and overland
PLEASE NOTE: PIKRA-CAMPER.de is still working!!!! The foldable kitchen is orderable. Also awaylable at Pikra-schreinerei.de !! Thanks

You Fellas are Awesome! Been subbed to both of you for some time and cherish the wealth of knowledge and entertainment on your channels!
Thanks to you Ronny I discovered Andrews channel about a year ago. The mans a walking encyclopedia!
That was really nice to watch. Been a fan of Andrew's for a long time, and what he's doing chasing his passion is great. Thanks Ronny! Great vid

What an astounding vehicle. So well thought out, obviously through years of actual experience. Magnificent and thanks to you both for the vid.
Loved this, could definitely watch more of these two discussing travel. Hopefully they make more content together!
best hour spend on you tube with you and this :) south african/ british/ australian(Andrew) and his best overland vehicle

Great thing about Andrew is the goes on about stuff but it is all 110% use full stuff
Andrew has all the latest and greatest gear. Who needs to tow a caravan when he has everything in this troopy? He has thought of everything!

That was fantastic. Thank you so much for that. And great to hear that he built it here in Perth
Fantastic video. I usually have a attention span of about 12 mins. But I watched this whole thing and enjoyed it!
