Alright, that is one hell of a troopy build. But bar none, the most amazing thing about this vid is the pup climbing the rtt ladder like a pro. Love it👍
Half dog, half mountain goat
Finally a person that makes their living out of videos, insta etc and doesn’t talk all about the equipment they carry for content creation in their vehicle!!
thats one of best troopys iv seen ever. wow wheels wow bar , wow color. looks awesome. those rims with tires just adds to car so much there. and so nice person just chilled , relaxed , looks like enjoying life. awesome.
Highlight of this video is the dog climbing the ladder 🤣
One of the best parts, definitely
Awesome humble troopy owner. Cant beat those UK made Lazer lights either ;)
Great video Ronny 👍 Salty's vids are pretty chill, nice to watch at the end of a long work day
Salty....one of the best out there! Great build mate, keep up the stories and please don't become too over produced or commercialised!
The best modified I've seen Ronny. Sick troops
I'm digging this troopy build and Salty's take on it. Good show. Good review.
So good to see to down to earth legends talking the talk and no mention of coronavirus just troops and beers 👍
Great Troopy. Kept it simple to do what needs to be done. Very chill bloke
13:10 you can't tell dB by the height or thickness of the antenna. That said, the shorter the antenna, the worse your range is for any dB. The 'spread' emits from the centre of the antenna. The longer the antenna, the better the 'spread', for any given dB.
The thickness is just protection.
You can mount an old car radio aerial on the roof platform and get a good dB depending on where you're travelling. Just ask any good 12V sparky. It's the difference between $500 and $5
Been a fan of Salty for a long time. Lots of love for the Sandy Taupe!
Flat dog taking ya round dog 🐊 🐕 lmfao 😂
Oh that what flat dog is 🤣
Great episode! Love the troops. Clean 👌🏼
Gave it a like a subscribed to Satlys channel.
Everyone is saying this is the best Troopy they have ever seen and it is pretty nice but have you guys seen the one that ASPW had? That thing was insane, to this day I'd still say that was the best Troopy I've seen.
Absolute legend. I can tell he knows whats REALLY happening. Keen to get into his channel.
Was never a fan of the tuff bars, but the more I see them on the 70 series of LandCruisers the more I like them.
This is one of your best Modified episodes
Yes do it. I’m building my own ground up troopy 1986. Your rig is sick love ya work boi
Watch out for a full lengths solid build roof rack, and heavy loading. It will crack the "A" pillars just above the bonnet.
Happened to me back in 87. those build years are known for it. Good luck with your Project
Awesome Troopy bruz, Muzz climbing the ladder is something I didnt think a dog could do, mine is scared of walking up stairs in the house.....
Ronnie, a bloody good review. Cheers, Mate.
Amazing build. The best I've seen. Can you do Modified Suzuki Jimny 2019 next plz.
Another great video , that was a fantastic modified 👍👍👍 thanks
You nailed it about experiencing it stock.
Great build with a great host.
Ok since no one else has done it, Where's the Troop Carriers of Australia sticker?
You can go into their facebook
Nice troopy. Cheers Steve
Thanks for the video, Ronny! Watching you from Russia
That dog is talented. Let me know if he needs an agent😂
ripper vid fellas . some great tips
Perfect build. Everything you need and nothing you don’t.
Best modified in awhile what a weapon
these two are like best mates!
Nice Troopy, love the bullbar. To many roos not to have one out there.
Hahaha dope lemon air freshener yeowww!
That's bull bar really finish the car so nicely ...
Saltys troopy wouldn't look out of place in your convoy Ronny.
Yeah is his favorite word. I got a buddy from New Zealand and he is the same way. Hope he doesn't step on a cactus however due to the lack of boots or shoes or even socks. Nice rig by the way. Yeah.
Hey Ronny, what’s the regulation with extra indicators in WA because looking at that tuff bar, at most angles you’re battling to see the front blinkers if they were on..... you don’t require extra blinkers down on the bar anywhere ? Just curious that’s all.
Good job
Fantastic truck, I’d go one lithium instead of 2 agm similar usable amp hours and a quarter of the weight
I want to see a Troopy with a tricked out suspension- widened front and rear to account for the top-heaviness of the design, more travel/articulation. that'd be sick. I like this one's airbag solution to varying the spring weight in the back tho
Do you believe in the electronic rust protection ? Should do a video on how you protect your car from rust and what you recommend other than inox
9:30 am, but it's 5 pm somewhere...🍻
Another nice episode
Ever tried put in other car seat not after market? Camry/alphard seats maybe
Nice wagon mate, got to love a well set up troopy 👍👍
Salty and I share the same surname and love for troopy’s so not sure if that makes us related or not 👍
Just one thing though guys, and I ask politely and sincerely, can we please stop calling utes and wagons ‘trucks’ ? 😆
thank you detail video
Great vid Ronny.... What seat did you go with? I’ve just been quoted $2500 per seat for Recaro... nearly fell over
This is what we are dreaming in the US. I’m now seating in my 80 jealous af.
Old salty Davenport looked wrecked out of his head 😂
Really liked this one due to the fact that he just loves the connection to the bush more so than all the gadgets on his troopy. Also at 6’2” it would be so annoying having that sticker across the top. I’m 6’3” and there is no way I could put anything there. One question... how can you run 315’s on a 2’ lift and not get scrubs? I run 305’s neg 35 and they scrub for days. Awesome work to both of you.
The -35 off set causes that people fit it with a 0 offset
BLOODY GOOD
Where do you run the wiring for the light bar on the roof rack?
Awsome rig... Great video again Ronny.. If anyone sees this post I am struggling to find a window arm rest for my door if anyone can help me out might be worth Ronny if you could add it to your merchandise retail store.
Hey Ronny! Do you have any new modified Mitsubishi Triton available out there? Thank you!
Stock standard troopy was THE most go anywhere vehicle I’ve been in. I have owned many 4x4 vehicles, and to show my stupidity, I still haven’t owned a troopy. Still have 2 Toyota vehicles; Sahara 16/ purchased 17 demo- shopping trolley...
And 11 single tray back with a Innovan camper ; heavy, need a brake upgrade ASAP!
Legs and free vehicle with campsite saved 👍🏻
The single cab with Innovan is amazing. Have it chipped; go is hold on ; stop is oh shhhhhh. ahh
Brake upgrade is top of to do!
Ronny I reckon do another Pajero a newer model my brother has got a pretty good one! It’s been all around aussie
You can get 50mm track correction hubs from buds customs
I think I just 💦 a little. What an absolute weapon. Great episode Ronny. Big 👍🏾 from Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬.
Nice friend
howly, are these steps down the sides ? or are they emergency sleeping beds?
Yip you need a bull bar like that 👍
The funniest thing in the whole video was the term "flat dog" … crocodile.
Be aware; if you are travelling from Perth to Broome, and you’re from the East of Australia or vegetated areas of your home country, you may feel depressed because this is a rather desolate area for a long time. Take many breaks at left turns to beaches etc if you can and your vehicle is able; it relieves the stress of non vegetation.
You will understand if you drive it.
Ditch the Mrs keep the dog and love your swag...
surf and turf !
Is that the james baroud grand raid xxl tent?
No stopping for the dog, fake grass passenger side mat 🤣
Legend
Banging!!! This will do to cook breaky too
Mint 🌱

Are you going to do torbs for E79 and Harry's for E80
The starbucks crawler....
RONNYYYYYYYY , please find modified Suzuki Jimny
Find me one and I’ll do it 🤙
He’s already done one (not the new one but double they’ll be many about with enough mods to make it a decent video)
Not sure what you buy the marron bait for, but! Dog bikkies in a plastic container with multiple small holes works great in a opera house pot!
What is the brand of the armrest on the right of the cab
Jasper Saunders Africa2Outback mate
What boots are those?
Can either or both of you guys tell me how often you've hit a roo sufficiently hard to warrant a bull bar? Not having a go, genuinely wondering how important a good bar is ( aside from mounting a winch ).
Others I have done 200k on country roads over the last seven years and only hit one. He went under the front wheel missed the bar. I slow down at night and in areas that have a lot of wild life. That said I would not be without a bull bar, you won’t want to hit a black cow at night on a lonely desert road without frontal protection.
@@colinfwalters Thanks Colin. I've done a fair amount of travelling and with over 400k country driving and 40 years, I've hit a couple of wallabies (ABS saved my front end and the creatures hopped away after been given a good thud and leaving teeth marks in my plastic bumper), but that's the some total of it over 45 years, so I wondered, do I have to spend top $ and get the strongest bar, or can I go down a notch or two, knowing the cheaper options will bend easier etc., but still, I figure my chances of actually hitting a roo or large animal at speed are pretty slim for me. Wanted to test that idea, hence the question. Again thanks for the response, it kind of supports my current view - perhaps an aluminium unit or even one of those plastic ones to keep the weight down substantially. Don't know, I could be full of shit! :)
Others 15 roos in 5 years for me. Night driving is hazardous in WA
@@firetofork Excellent - 'twas what I thinketh of the bar (in my best olde English).
Nice truck. What’s that arm rest / storage bag in the driver’s window?
its a quick storage for your phone wallet etc.. it has a blade shape at the end that sits between the window walls hole , personally i dont like them they get thrown away in a bumpy off roading conditions
Do you where you buy them? Would like to try it out. Many thanks
@@bmonck5110 i got mine from a local hand made off roading store here in Riyadh saudi arabia, i tried looking it up in global store i did not find it sorry
Africa2Outback mate
Hmud AL Ghomaiz thanks for checking. Appreciate it.
I wish these were available in the Uk
Bug out vehicles UK You can get them from Gibraltar.
xpabz how does that work with the registration?
Bug out vehicles UK Although I’m not 100% sure, I don’t think you will have any problems registering the vehicle in the UK considering the fact that Gibraltar is a British overseas territory. The vehicles are obviously brand new and RHD. But you can easily find out from Toyota Gibraltar if you can import and register the vehicle in the UK.
I grabbed a screenshot of 9.50, absolutely beautiful! Can I use it personally ? And where was the area? Just want to frame it and put on a boring wall in our house.
Lemon squash in a plugged stubby holder: gold 😁
Nice built. But ... a fire extinguisher and first aid kit deep in a long drawer. I hope he does not need them in haste ...
Should do a pk ranger review mate, I've seen a few comments asking for pj/pk
It would be great if you can do more Land Rovers?
Find me one that’s still running and I will... JUST KIDDING.. find me one and I’ll do it 🤙
Ronny Dahl haha good on you.
alucab vs rooftop?
P.S. if your Troopy gets stolen , look at me 1st. Just cause I’m in QLD doesn’t put me out of the running 😁
Great build.
Ronny what's a PDF version? 🤣🤣🤣
you mean DPF?
Noticed almost no one carries pull Pals in OZ ...
mateo ribadeneira I can’t imagine anyone would know what that even was. When I hear “pull pal” I kinda think “friends with benefits” and I stopped carrying any of those in my car when I got married. Srsly though, what is it?
Im not gonna say if they are effective or not as I have not used one, but maxtrax or recovery boards would look to do the same thing at a better weight vs benfit ratio. Also recovery boards are more versatile.
what is the tyre size
35 inch
75👍
78 :)
Really top heavy for a Troopy especially with that higher roof rack... wouldn't do it.
Episode 78 78 series I see what you did
episode 76 isnt a 76 series, episode 79 who knows
salty needs some new jeans.
Subbed Salty just in case I need to stalk him if I didn’t get the answers I want 🤪
Australians really do like offroading...and mostly toyotas
