How lucky to have this randomly pop up on my main page. Nope, I haven't seen the previous video! You're so entertaining and I love the humour. Also, I can relate to a lot of what you said. To be honest, I was never that "gifted", and it ended sooner (the first school I went to, I was one of the two kids in class who could read, until TEN. then I changed schools and it turned out I was maybe a little over average. at that point.), but I was "smart". And, as it often goes with that, I never really learnt how to study, while my hard-working peers who knew what they wanted would spend hours in the library and go on to become doctors. Not that I would like that specifically, but knowing what you want and being prepared to work towards it, well. It's something. And my greatest success, I have found a boyfriend! I was 27 and hadn't had much success until that time, so, hey! There's hope, lol. But I deeply, deeply understand that discomfort when people ask how you've been or what you do. I'm ashamed of the answers.
Aww, thanks for the nice comments. And yeah, I understand that. I didn't study much, and when I moved to a grammar school I suddenly realised that I was actually very average, and my lack of studying meant I struggled in some of my courses during that time. It is so great that you found love though, and I hope your job life can be as much as a success soon as well
Ahaha, yeah I know, but a bunch of 14 year olds never pronounce it correctly and I had to keep reminding myself how it should be said (I slipped up a few times in lessons) :D
Hope you are doing ok. I am sorry about the problem with the jobs. I've got years of experience and I can't get a job at a Tesco. Things suck lately. I hope things get better. Wishing you luck.
Don't know if that's gonna help u at all, but I get the depression after doing a non-hirable degree and struggling to get into the job market after. Maybe u could look into teaching? If u were a gifted kid, chances are you could be good at passing down your knowledge or enthusiasm to learn. English teaching certificates are especially easy to get, and after that u can try to work in a different country for a change of environment and like a mental reset. Some places just require you to be a native speaker and have a degree, teaching experience is a plus, but it's not mandatory a lot of the time. Wishing you a lot of luck as this was a depressing but also eerily relatable watch xx
Yeah its difficult, and I looked into teaching photography (that was part of my degree) but nothing came of it. But yeah, I will definitely look again some other times as like most "gifted children" being forced to teach all your classmates when the teacher gets bored does mean you get a passion for educating others. And thanks for the luck, I will definitely need it :D
7:53 you lost me at this point. They’re kids, you don’t have to want to be around them but have some empathy. I know it’s not that deep but also it is bc ppl have so little empathy for each other these days. As an autistic adult whose needs are constantly treated as annoying I can’t just laugh off this kind of whining about the needs of others, especially children. Don’t have them, don’t work with them, but don’t be an asshole :(
Hi, so sorry you got the wrong impression there. Definitely my fault for not scripting it properly. The joke that I hate kids was not meant to be aimed at SEN children, just all children in general. So the sarcasm was meant to be that I hate interacting with any kids, but I often act like one myself. And trust me, it is sarcasm. I have applied to many jobs this summer where I would work with young children because I do not mind them at all. Also, most of my friends are autistic (and you don't keep friends unless they like your humour) so again, trust me, I would not joke about specifically just hating them being annoying, even for sarcasm, as I have heard their own experiences. Again, sorry for that misunderstanding of that joke

Also, I thought I got it wrong from likely only learning the word by reading, but titration is not pronounced with "tit" :D

Ah yeah, I have heard how awful it is from many people. Good luck to you too
Only 9 months on a dissertation?? That's actually baller.
Really? Its what the rest of my class did as well. Guess maybe we just could not be bothered to start early :D

There's something very compelling about your delivery, carry on with UA-cam! See you in another two months :D
Aha thank you. What can I say, I somehow am really good at playing the persona of a depressed, crazy sociopath...
💚

Ok watching further I can see you were being sarcastic, but it’s still not my style of humor
