As an OU fan, thank you, Lincoln, for bailing on us. It hurt at first, but sometimes, the band-aid just needs to be ripped off. I know we are 6-6 with no guarantee of 7-6 this year, but our defense is mostly fixed, and now we have the tools on offense to make some noise. Don't go thinking you are missed because you are not! BOOMER!
Lincoln doesn’t seem to be able To adapt. USC at its apex would dominate college football. USC needs a president, AD, and coach who can convince billionaire alumni to donate to football.
It’s idiotic to say a program like SC cannot be great again! Also, people fell in love with Riley because he had great offenses. Never bothered to look deeper. Dude never built a program and does not know how to cultivate a physical culture. He has a pass first mentality and up to this point is to finesse.
Dude. Y'all are missing a major point. Pete, Kirby and nick won with teams that were built on the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Same with urban at Florida and Ohio state. We remember the flashy players but at the end of the day, these teams had more nfl caliber talent on the lines of scrimmage. USC was the only west coast team that was physical on both sides of the ball and had NFL caliber talent at the skill positions. They had two running backs run for over 1000 yards in the same season during Pete's era. They had defenses that routinely got pressure only rushing 4. Nobody was running the ball all over them like Penn State just did to Oregon. It's why the SEC was and still is dominate. We've seen Florida, Alabama, Georgia, LSU and Auburn (Undefeated in 2004 and 2010) win multiple national championships because of physicality. Physicality on the line of scrimmage trumps everything. X's and O's, facilities, overall recruiting and culture matters too. But with no line of scrimmage dominance and good skills players, you're just Colorado....
He was good in the big 12 when it was down and made it to the playoffs and got beat every time. He built a big 12 team at USC and that isn’t going to work anymore. Just look at them in the trenches they are small!!!
The product on the field has been trash. People in LA have so many other entertainment options available to spend their hard earned money on. If Riley starts winning consistently and gets USC rolling, they will come. ✌🏾
USC and Michigan alum here. My Trojans are a hot mess and we’ve beaten our rivals about eight times since the Nixon administration. Yay! 🙄 7-5 thanks solely to a softer schedule. Awesome
USC is just not all in on football. facilities are garbage, stadium is half full, and a bad fit at head coach. Pete Carol is a surfer who embarrassed the southern Cal way also dominated recruiting from California and Hawaii .
Andy it wasn’t necessarily his coaching at OU that ruined our program, it was that he raided the roster when he left! I think his biggest problem is he thinks he can out coach everyone else with X’s & O’s and not the Jimmy and the Joe’s, he would have bedenbaugh get oline men and turn them into 1st round draft picks in the trenches; don’t get me wrong he had some studs also but like this year at OU we had alot of the last class for LR and they just weren’t ready for the SEC! As far as Baker he was Big 12 freshman of the year at Tech before he transferred to OU! And everyone knew Kyler had more talent than anybody on the field… Boomer Sooner
Sooner, USC fan here. Look I’m hating LR now but pleeeeze, don’t blame LR for for Venable’s THIRD year on LR. In this CFB environment you can turn over of roster in ONE year….see CU & Deion. OU’s issues are BV’s issues. Thought we stole RIiley from you, and instead got rat-effed! Good luck nest year, Sooner.
@ very true! unfair sports has a video of what actually happened! we’ve been fixing the defense, since he lacks the ability to understand you have to have one! Unfortunately this was the 1st yr in the SEC and we needed more of everything on offense, which hopefully will be fixed in 2025 with some different direction in recruiting, in 2024 it was hard to find a whole offensive line in the portal! And I would’ve loved to still be in the Big 12, it was kind of a joke this year! &&& I love Prime but he’s in a great position OSU, Baylor, Utah KSU left the front door wide open for him to take over, and with 2 top 10 picks next year will definitely show us what kind of coach he will truly be!
West coast isn't producing as many good players as 15 years ago. Usc is also having to recruit against everyone else for a smaller pool of 4 star players in California. They aren't recruiting good enough to be the old usc and it's that simple.
USC lost a lot of close games this season. Lincoln will be ok. It's not his fault that the West Coast does no longer produce passion and loyalty. They are happy to take the bag and rep another states school. Next season will be a good one with the players who choose to be there and want to be great. Fight on ✌️
From that scene in the Hangover Movie, and the actor, Ed Helms "Stu" - when he's in the backseat of the car, after they just got attacked.... "WHAT IS GOING ON??!!" "WHAT IS HAPPENING?!".... at USC?!?! - HOLY SMOKES! What a SAD, SAD, Clown Show and TOTAL train wreck. Come on man - aka Riley and Crew!! WTF??? #DYINGBlueBlood_🤔🤔🤔?

Agreed. Of course. You just need a great coach like the retired one who darted off for the Seahawks.
He’s a great recruiter but that’s not enough.
He not a great recruiter. At all

Andy is speaking facts! Great knowledge of the game and about how building culture in college football is paramount
THIS IS A DREAM COME TRUE

That half-empty stadiums is Riley’s fault too.

Riley has made SC a dumpster fire
Ari is much better on this show than most of his bombastic tweets.
This doesn’t feel like the USC team I grew up watching and hating. Hard to hate on a team when they’re playing this bad.
USC is just not all in on football. facilities are garbage, stadium is half full, and a bad fit at head coach. Pete Carol is a surfer who embarrassed the southern Cal way also dominated recruiting from California and Hawaii .
Cancel the football program and gives us a softball team at USC
I need everybody to go watch the final scene of animal House with Kevin Bacon during the parade.
It's Looking like Lincoln Riley is Not Good At Anything Associated with Football Coaching at USC? What has happened to his supposed Offensive Guru?

Weirdly worded title

The PAC-12 was tougher than the B1G, actually.
