Hey everyone! 👋 What’s your biggest fear about the travel/work life? We hope this video helped ease some of those worries and inspired you to take the leap! Did we cover everything you wanted to know? If there’s anything we missed, just drop your questions below-we’re here to help!
We decided to travel a couple of years ago, my biggest fear was never getting a job. I am a truck driver and a machinery operator. Work is so easy to find. I like to find work before I go somewhere, I think I am working more than I should. My next job though is 3 weeks on and 1 week off so we can travel for the week off. It is a 6-month gig. Thanks for the video, great work.
@bmbikerr understandably finding work is always going to be a big fear for a lot of people. No work means now money the flow on effect from there. As you found though, with your qualifications you’d have no issues picking up some work to top up the kitty. Three on, one off will give you time to do some exploring which is great, but don’t spend all your hard earned because in six months time you can keep travelling without having to do that pesky work thing 😂 Glad you enjoyed the video, and hope you found something useful and helpful. Safe travels 👌🏻
In that case, welcome to the channel it’s a pleasure to have you 🫶🏻. Glad you enjoyed the content and hopefully we can keep producing content that you enjoy watching. Cheers.
Great video guys. We follow you because of how honest and authentic you are, don’t loose that it’s so refreshing. Can’t wait until next year when we finally hit the road fulltime might see you out there.
Cheers guys, we just try to be ourselves but we’re so glad that you enjoy watching us. We’ll never stop being us so you have nothing to worry about there. When next year are you hitting the road fulltime? We are always up for meeting people and having a couple drinks 👌🏻😉
We’re in our 60s and retired and have been offered work and house sits when travelling! Love your in person approach to finding work and that you prefer the smaller towns - we do too as the people are usually more down to earth. Your no frills and honest videos are a breath of fresh air among the YT channels that make this lifestyle look idyllic when it certainly isn't like that every day. Good on you two too for donating to charity - giving back is always good karma - great job 👏
Really enjoyed this video. And we also loved the bloopers at the end. You guys are so generous with your experience and genuine will to help and inspire others. 💫👍🏻🤗
Nnnaaawww thank ya so much fam 😍 There’s always going to be bloopers, we are far from perfect in every video 😂😂😂 If we can help someone else in their travels or make the choice to start travelling…. That makes us over the moon happy!!
Aawww that’s so kind of you!! Thankyou so much 😊😊 We just want to share our experiences and how we got about things to try and help other people live the life we do. If we can help or inspire someone to get out and travel more, that makes us unbelievably happy 😊
We travelled full time for 2.5 years with 2 young kids. We stopped and worked a few times to build saving. One would work and the other home school the kids. Once we even stopped for 6 months and put the kids in the local school and both worked. We did the same to find work. Facebook pages, in person, seek, gumtree and we were willing to do anything. Sugar cane haulout, labouring, caravan park work, reception/tearooms/admin in a museum!
Sounds like you guys had some fantastic jobs as you traveled. No doubt you would have met some great people too. The museum job would have been an Interesting one 😳. What would be your biggest advice for people with kids thinking about giving the work / travel life a go?
Awww thank you so much for the kind words 😊😊😊. If we go somewhere is this world that's a bonus. We just love helping other people. If you ever have any questions, just ask us and we'll always get back to you.

I traveled Australia for 6 years I towed a trailer with a upholstery cleaning buiss and had more work then I ever wanted.only pain was towing a trailer...how do you spend 1k a week traveling..that's alot
Haha sounds like travel was a financially successful time for you 😂. As for us spending 1k a week, it’s just an average. Some weeks we spend less than $500 sometimes over $1000. We factor everything into that number too. Phones, insurance, rego, diesel, food accommodation etc etc etc.
