The biggest problem will be boters again. The new zones are already small and bots will destroy the whole crafting community and that one is so damn important for tbc.
bots can’t compete for tags with humans, they’re not that efficient. Also, bots tend to instance farm for that exact reason. Bots are not an open world issue, especially on pvp servers.
@@Whitt09 You are assuming he means mobs however the most likely scenario why bots will kill TBC is flight form druids herbing. They already can keep EPL nearly clear of plaguebloom, imagine what it will be like with flying so killing them is near impossible.
I hope they create fresh tbc servers and keep classic servers classic. Would solve most concern that way even. No one would get his gold wiped, as they would keep it on classic. Players that havent played classic, will have a fresh economy and the launch will be smoother as not everyone goes to hellfire penisula at the same time.
You also have the people who leveled up to 4 or even 5 60's just to get them transferred to TBC. I'm not saying it's issueless but if all players have to start fresh lvl 1 in tbc I think you're going to lose alot of playerbase on that alone
Go for an earlier release of fresh TBC servers, and down the line maybe a month or 2 in you allow transfers. Then people get to play on their charracters still, and lvl them. Just not at launch 🙂 this would even out gold impact, yet you would not have lost the value gained previously.
@@Matt-Adams i would not mind.... There are benefits to this model. Evening out the playingfield without taking away each players wealth. It would limit the initial impact of accumulated wealth, and soften the inflation. This model would be a great compromise to solving the gold issue.

I've been eager for TBC since I heard about WoW classic. But, right now, I can't help but feel it will be a shitshow, ruined both by Blizzard lazyness, and by the players themselves, who will optimize the fun out of BC.
Players will optimize everything that’s been the meta for gaming for years now and it only grows in popularity as it is most people will have enchanting prot paladin alts to solo farm scholo/strath and generate insane gold people will eventually be doing dailies on 5+ alts it would take no time at all for tbc classic inflation to reach the current classic inflation
It's for these exact reasons I'm playing tbc on a private server instead of classic tbc, far less toxicity and people simply just play the game.. Its not a min / max race the whole way through.
I wouldn't mind starting from scratch even though I've been playing hard since release. When everyone starts off from scratch its by far the most fun I've ever had on a video game. Nothing is more fun than thousands running around questing, pvping, communicating... so much fun
@@soulshinebtw They were in at launch of TBC for 70 and used in first kills in SSC and taken out in the BT patch. The video and my comment are referring to them being usable at 70 early in classic tbc launch.
If the server lags at hellfire peninsula/gate it might be better to grind high level mobs in Azeroth for a couple of levels and move on directly to either Zangarmash or Terrokar.
that 7 weeks came after they removed attunements for SSC and TK along with the fact that you got 100% raid vial drop after september 13th 2007; so that creates instant entrance into hyjal then BT which didnt exist prior to september 13th 2007 going back to earlier iterations of wow would prevent that
Yeah, the situation in classic is honestly beyond repair. They could reduce the gold you carry over by 80% and many could still instantly buy epic flying. Fresh start does seem like the most sane way. People will be pissed off sure but if blizz will do it the other way, then not only will people be pissed off as well but the whole expansion could be ruined.
Hey if you wanna play hardcore classic theres actuslly a huge following already. Community rules and you gotta stream/record to prove it but ill give you some more info if you interested
I agree with toughened up content. Extra mechanics might be a stretch but thinks like bosses hurting more more aoe wide damage more health would make the dungeons more rewarding and stop people from speed running new raids on release
Harris Pilton sells a larger bag starting in WotLK. They could add that in TBC if they need another gold sink. Also, Blizz MUST get rid of the bots or anyone not botting or playing 10+ hours per day is going to be unable to compete given how important professions become in TBC.
Yes, getting rid of the bots is nr1. Prio in TBC. If prices get inflated again like they are now... people will lose the race for competetive gameplay and that's gonna lead to a huge decrease in population. When this happens (not "if") servers will die out, groups become harder to find leading to even bigger decreases in popularity. End result = catastrophic: -Guilds falling apart -Huge increase in queue's -prices won't be affected that much by a leaving players base, considering that bots are responsible for the latter supply anyway -Overal game experience goes down rapidly. We have to understand: This world thrives on population. The actual MMO phrase says it all! If servers die out, people stop subbing. When subbing stops, blizz pulls the plug. The best solution is biiiiig coverage on the botting and calling Blizz out to actually doing something about it. Doing something about it as in: hiring some bloody devs to monitor reports from people instead of these god awfull failing automatic systems that operate on an AI/algorithm basis!
I don't know much about servers either. But to uneducated me, it doesn't seem like vanilla stasis servers or vanilla reboot servers would be that hard. All the development work has been done, so it would just require maintenance. And if Blizzard doesn't always have vanilla available in some form, either stasis or reboot, I won't feel bad about vanilla private servers.
Just wondering. You're comment regarding battlegroups. Don't we already have that in Classic? There is already cross-realm battlegrounds and usually it's the same servers.
For the gold related question, its simple. If you want a reset on gold just roll on a new tbc server. More chances that bliz will open fresh tbc servers than a gold reset.
It's not confirmed yet but chances are the current servers will transition into TBC, including all characters, guilds, etc. As evidence by the last surveys sent by Blizzard and the leaks that recently surfaced.
In regards to Hellfire Peninsula, remember that Hellfire quests begin at level 58 and Zangarmarsh quests begin at 60. Seems the thing to do is skip ahead to Zangar. But you probably need to do the early quests for the strong greens you get, unless say, you are already pretty geared.
Smart players will skip all the quests and do dungeon farms until 70, and once 70 go back and do the quests then for the bonus rep to finish their rep grinds to exalted faster, like they do on private servers! 😁👍
yaa. i feel like they need to add in a bunch more gold sinks (cosmetics, bag upgrades, bank slots, i.e. things that dont give players more power, but just slight conveniences that casuals wouldn't care that much about)? gold capping seems to easily abused by hoarding items or something
Adding aditional gold sinks just makes the actual game irrelevant. A new giant bag that could be bought with gold would make tailoring bags useless since people could buy giant bags with bot-farmed gold. Either blizzard will put a flat cap on gold or a percetage one (like 90% of your gold is gone).
Unless you're a mage, the ease of making raw gold in TBC means that your old gold is already essentially cut in half. While there is a big difference between the dad with 1k gold on his character, and the neckbeard with 10k, the difference in starting position for them is more like the difference between somebody with 1k and 3k each. Sure it is a significant difference, but the design of the game already takes this somewhat into consideration. I'm moderately sweaty, with 3k gold, and mats worth another 3k, and i'm already a little miffed that some of my efforts in earning those will be undermined by the inflation. Adding another punishment on top of that again? Fuck that. (Taking stuff away from the players is generally against the "best practices" of MMO design, so i'm not worried about it, really.) You are absolutely right that gold sinks might just exacerbate botting problems. I DO think that the reduced cost of raiding in TBC (fewer consumables) will also reduce peoples desire to buy gold, especially inbetween content launches. When there are new crafting patters released, especially close to launch, the bot-gold will flow, but once people have their spellfire sets and stunheralds, the demand for gold will be lower than in classic, and you'll see a moderate decline in bots. Nowhere near an extermination, but a healthier market.
@@haldir108 the thing is right now in about 4 days play time you can spend maybe 800+ g to hit max then once tbc opens and your main is set you can lvl all those alts to max and do dailies on all your characters then add prot pally alts solo farming strath/scholo and the inflation for classic will be caught up again in a few months so a fresh wipe only hurts the casuals and the people starting new because it delays their ground mount grind and their flying mounts
Imo : Set a cap of 1000g and let them only take soulbound items when they copy the characters on the tbc servers this way no one will stockpile materials. In addition to that employ more people who will actually ban botters and goldsellers. Then everything should work out perfectly.
This is easily bypassed by just sending gold to another. They should just push for fresh servers and manage the botters. Bots will kill the enemy worse than rich makes transferring to tbc servers
I remember being on a shitty boomkin and a guild randomly asked me if I wanted to off tanl Kara for them. Bought me greens and just needed to to taunt certain fights. Free loot
They'd need to wipe not only gold but also mats. People have been preparing for TBC for a while. You're gonna have Day 1 max-level Jewel crafters. And for those who didn't stock up before release , theyre gonna see major inflated prices in AH.
Wipe 60s too, there are people who leveled multiple characters to 60 just for TBC. Basically everything need to be wiped which means that a fresh tbc server would be the best solution
It would be good to at least give the option to start fresh from lvl 1 on a TBC realm or continue over with your existing character. But forcing a reset of gold will fuck people who are legit as well. And many people who raid naxx will want to move on to TBC with their T3 gear and not be forced to start over. I'm not rich, but I have farmed up gold and materials to prepare for TBC. Enough to max out JC and to buy epic flying at 70. I don't want this reset.
@@darknessqueen6630 You can say that about classic and people prepping for and hordibg items cause they KNOW that that item will have like a 80% mark up on it, people knew exactly what to do in classic and prepped the whole way through, so your point is invalid.
We need to have a two week restart at lvl 55 like deathknights for whoever wants to transfer to tbc before it launches and have a gold and item cap as well.
Honestly I don't have the will to play until we know what happens to classic servers when tbc releases. My server is dead and the raiding scene is completely empty, so I'd really enjoy the chance to transfer to new tbc realms.
world buffs and aoe caps need to be in place from DAY ONE! They also need to zap the gold people have down to like 100g per 60, with the aoe caps should prevent a great deal of players from having epic flying mounts in the first week of release.
Go for an early fresh TBC release. Allow transfers a month or 2 down the line, this would solve the initial issue. And still let people keep what they have earned. It would soften the impact of current gold :)
Hmm I am not sure you need to kill Kael Thas to attune to Black temple. You needed to kill Al'ar for "Ruse of the Ashtongue" and later Rage Winterchill in Mount Hyjal for "An Artifact From the Past". So...
i would be happy without world buffs. yeah people say you don't HAVE to get them but if you're someone who likes to push, you're kinda forced to get them. not being able to get any would just be nice
Nef: Cast Crit +10% +5% Meele Crit +150 AP Songflower: Cast Crit 5% +15 Stats DMF: +10% Dmg ZG: +15% Int / Agi / Str +10% MS Rend: +300hp +15% Attackspeed +10 mp5 All together: Your char is definatly at least 60% stronger. Nef alone increases your average caster crit (AQ gear 21-25% crit chance) by a factor of 1.5
For warriors those buffs go beyond their individual boosts, as you can itemize very differently with them. In general the inflation in critical chance allows you to prioritize strength and attack power over crit, as there is a soft crit cap and it's very easy to reach it with full world buffs. Also a warrior with bad equipment (like some tier0 pieces and BRD blue-items) can reach above 30% crit and decent enough attack power to compete with other classes who have equipped tier1 - or even 2 - quality gear but they do not carry any W.B. and consumables.
I may have missed it, but I'm surprised you didn't bring up faction balance. A lot of other WoW youtubers have already started suggesting possible solutions. Would be nice to hear another one. Guess that will come in Part 2.
When I setup the bullet points for the video I had twice more things to touch on originally, including the faction balance concern, and then after talking about 6 of them the video was already this long :p So yep there definitely needs to be a part 2.
Regarding content release - if there is timegating or not it will affect only hardcore players. For me and our guild, it will be no difference. We are taking it in our own pace.
Your gold sink idea for the larger inventory bag is a great example of how "some changes" can be implemented without damaging the integrity of the game.
SL launch was smooth as butter with everyone in one zone. They have deffo nailed layering, it's just down to wether classic players want it. 'No changes' gang were very anti layering on launch.
my concern is the gold that some players will bring over into TBC. I know some accounts have insane gold for jump runs/lotus/PL etc. I am torn between if they add fresh lvl one tbc servers where all races and class are lvl 1 with the BE/SG. Or moving my character forward. If I remember correctly the 1st survey stated transfer your character, not copy your character. I put way more time into classic then I did in 04 and want my character to stay in classic but if it is a transfer and not copy then I would be starting at lvl 1 again anyways. Though after I read that 1st survey again I did start lvling the same class again in prep incase it is a move and not a copy.
Well BC will be better for me idc about anyone else I'll enjoy it just as much as I did back in the day. A little more balanced pvp way more mechanics for raids way moreninteresting raids better lore better attunement quests. Just the best xpac
It´s pretty much a complete upgrade to classic imo, classic 2.0 so to speak. Finally some of the weaker classes get some love as well, sure they won´t top the meters but pretty much every class got something that makes them worthwhile to take into the raid.
What would you think of making Blood elf Paladins and Draenai Shamans playable like a month before release so that they could get to lvl 60 and start leveling in Outland at the same time as everyone else?
I think I wouldn't mind a fresh-start server, if it gave everyone a single lvl 60 character boost. You wouldn't have an inflated economy and you'd have level 60s going through old content to level up their professions anew. I'd be bummed about not having all my 60 toons, but I feel like the game would be more balanced at the start
They will most probably go with the same mentality as classic No changes, mostly because changes takes effort. They will release it in the final state as this what they believe is the best release. Since it has taken care of most class ballance and bugs and most important less work for them. We will also see more sharding to take care of launch.
Capping old when you enter TBC would just cause people to move their cash into other assets which they sell once in TBC... it would cause huge market fluctuations as gold devalues rapidly. If anything... it would raise prices pre TBC, then after TBC all those items would devalue as people pay for the TBC items.
And regarding economy - there is no point to put more gold sinks or make things like flying more expensive. It will only create higher demand for gold-buying and will encourage more botting. And players who are playing fair will only need to farm more gold just to be able to aford things.
I personally think that launch day will not be the same pain as it was coz every single WoW UA-camr (including myself) is telling his audience NOT to quest when they enter TBC but run dungeons.
I have a bank of 8k gold right now, and not one copper was bought. Why should I be punished with a gold reset when it was Blizzard's fault for gold inflation because they didn't crack down harder on botting? Why should I be punished for the sake of a "level playing field" when other players could have farmed more gold, did not, and now are advocating for others to lose theirs out of spite?
AM exactly the same . Ive banked 8k gold playing with My only char ( a Warrior) and Even re specing every week to raid as Fury (wich means i could have over 10k ez) . Why should i be punished ? Ive worked that gold with argubly the worst farming class in the Game . If Ppl don't have similar money (wich is bare min to Start tbc with flying and epic flying + a Few coins leftover) is totally their fault.
You must not have played shadowlands launch. Everyone started in the same place and it was extremely smooth. You saw a manageable number of people and they had thousands of separate instances. It was the smoothest launch they have ever had, and again everyone started in the same zone
Also have to remember that people pay monthly fee for the game, might cause some grumbling if they release the content "sold to us piece by piece" to keep players paying longer. I think it would feel kinda bad if you have to do dungeons for some set ammount of time and you get 'em fully "done" way sooner and want more which is there but just not made availeable.... Dunno, can't satistfy everyone in any case so...dunno.
If there are idiots that want to rip through the content as fast as they can, so be it, all the more fun for us who actually play it as it should be played.. no need to change anything for the DO IT NOW AND FAST group..
Hi, i think for the greater good of the game Gold Cap is a must, everyone who has been playing from phase-1 till now which is phase-6 put hard work that's pretty obvious, but we must sacrifice something if we want a better start...and imo originally the gold you farmed on Classic should stay on Classic while some % moves to TBC this is the best choice by far. Some might disagree and that's totally fine, but certain gold cap is required for sure! You ask how much should be carried over? I'd say 1.5k+- (If you ask me i wouldn't mind starting as low as 500g too) Have a nice day!
For the love of God, get rid of WBs. I was waiting for you to bring up Drums of War and everyone potentially having to take LW. I hope they bring in Sated to fix this.
I couldn't care less of hardcore people who decide to play this game 18 hours a day. Don't change the game because of them. I played the hell of vanilla and TBC back when I was a teen. Now I have a family and demanding work. I'll savor the content and enjoy the journey with my friends.
Not sure why SSC is considered Tier 4 in this video. I would be ok with them timegating tier 5. So Magtheridon would be the hardest raid at launch. I want to keep up to date with raids, to be able to enjoy the early raids without just shortcutting into SSC, TK and BT in week 2. Worldbuffs will NOT be a thing. They will most likely do patch 2.4.3, but with gated content to mimic the timegating of the original. People would riot if we had to keep worldbuffing.
6:58, you cant say that it wont hurt the game, any changes on anything WILL hurt the game, what you think a bout it is not relevant, you cant just start doing little changes on something that came out 15 years ago, why not ask for something completly new ? insted of changing all of this stuff on something that was great in its way. im sorry but, you are very and mostly wrong in this video. and why would we start over with our gold ? we didint do that before when tbc really came out, why should we do it now ? idk it feels like some of the youtubers start talking about how they would like the game, insted of, how the game shoul be. there is a big diffrence there, and if u cant see it, then the problem is you. good luck
15 years ago, we didn't have the meta knowledge that we do now. The issue is that people know where to go and how to farm because of private servers, data mining, etc. Lots of research can be done, and that makes it so those who do that will have a HUGE advantage in the expansion, when the game should be mostly even playing field for everyone who plays the game regularly. Yes, those who take the time to invest in those farming options should be rewarded, but the fact that people are buying items in GKDP for nearly 100,000 gold....that should tell you that something needs to do with the botting and gold farming/gold buying community that we are facing in classic. I don't know about you, but I don't want people with upwards of 100,000 gold going into TBC...

Funny, the community loves world buffs because they are the people that make them mandatory for their raids and they are the people traveling the world just to get better parses. I have cleared nearly every boss in Naxx without world buffs and it didnt take that much longer. They are like consumables a compensation for lack of gear.
the problem with 1 to 1 as evident by classic, and exacerbated in TBC is people will just blow through all the content, yes this will be the Sweaty of the Sweaty's pushing T5 in less than a month, but the problem comes that the bulk who are outside of that seem to take it as gospel that the content is either too easy, or lack of content, they just need to time gate the tiers, and ensure they don't run the 2.4.3 RAID NERFS, and the Isle, you can run with the 2.4.3 Quality of Life stuff for classes without destroying the game.
GDKP is the biggest problem for gold. When the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. I’d implement tokens and hardcore ban bots. Also heavily increase resource spawn. Why GDKP you can bid up anyone on an item and not have to pay it furthering your pay out saying that your competition bids back. So the rich can force the poor to spend more gold cuz all the poor want to do is to raid. Basically remove the reason why people need gold and make it cosmetic. Don’t need tons of gold to raid content or pay for consumes but need gold for mounts.
Hopefully, they remove the world buffs. That's probably the most degenerate part about Classic. The gold issue is going to be a real mess too, since people have a lot more gold now than they did going into the real TBC, to the point where I think it would be another degenerate aspect. I honestly think the only approach they can do is a complete fresh TBC server. That way A) it fixes the economy and B) it staggers people going to Outland. I guess you'd still have the same issue from Classic launch, but Outland wouldn't be such a cluster.
If we do start from level 1, then get ready to see outland full of mages and hunters getting there first after powerleveling to 60 and have a big step ahead on all the rest on gold and gatherable stuff which they ll most likely be selling to high prices to all the later comers.
Thats true. The only thing I can think of that might help if we do end up starting from scratch is to lock Outland for a specific reasonable amount of time til most are 60 or near 60 and then open the portal
mmm i think u miss-remember classic launch a bit, i know some continents were worse than others and i may have got "lucky" by being on a certain continent but I had no issues playing at classic launch (aside from the DDOS attacks), I know it will be an issue with TBC all going to hellfire, but it just what it is, technology doesnt exist to completely smooth it out to the point of having no issues and I'm sure just about every TBC Gamer with out a smooth brain is going to expect some issues and happily play through them, it wont be for ever.

Gold in classic is required for so much more. Consumables to raid, boosting alts, materials for professions etc. In TBC the consumes required to raid is nowhere close to the ones in classic. So what will you spend the gold on? The vast majority of gold where botting/gold selling and buying may be an issue is arena boosting and GDKP runs where people buy gear for real money. If Blizzard where to ban people who ran GDKP or advertise it or players selling arena boost for gold, then buying gold in TBC wouldn't really add any benefit for you in the long run. Which also means botting will not be as profitable so that they stop doing it.
They could incentivize a subset of the player base at launch to clear out the dark portal, like +100% exp for characters level 1 - 40 and 50-75% for 40-58 for the first couple weeks or a month.
Why not a complete reset, starting with the classic vanilla release schedule again and adding tbc after. That way everyone who wants to play tbc gets a change to start a character and what not.
No world buffs. Look, I know its meta in classic atm and that's fine. But with TBC we shouldn't be relying on old world buffs to do its content. Let's leave then behind and turn a new page imo.

bots can’t compete for tags with humans, they’re not that efficient.
Will Blizz ban bots? Prolly not so download some botting software guys.
That would suck to have TBC release, be super hyped about getting to the outland and have to start at lvl 1 lol.

As a TBC fanatic, these are all avid worries of mine and many others.
Good Video & Happy Holidays Friends.
Thank you and happy holidays to you too !
I wouldn't mind starting from scratch even though I've been playing hard since release. When everyone starts off from scratch its by far the most fun I've ever had on a video game. Nothing is more fun than thousands running around questing, pvping, communicating... so much fun
the fact that some1 bought kt sword for 200k gold is a proof that gold sinks dont work, those ppl would just buy 10k flying and 10k bags on day 1.

If the server lags at hellfire peninsula/gate it might be better to grind high level mobs in Azeroth for a couple of levels and move on directly to either Zangarmash or Terrokar.
that 7 weeks came after they removed attunements for SSC and TK along with the fact that you got 100% raid vial drop after september 13th 2007; so that creates instant entrance into hyjal then BT which didnt exist prior to september 13th 2007 going back to earlier iterations of wow would prevent that
I want a fresh TBC start, the economy is way too screwed in classic
Yeah, the situation in classic is honestly beyond repair. They could reduce the gold you carry over by 80% and many could still instantly buy epic flying. Fresh start does seem like the most sane way. People will be pissed off sure but if blizz will do it the other way, then not only will people be pissed off as well but the whole expansion could be ruined.
Remember the talk and idea about "Pristine realms"? Make "Hardcore" or harder classic servers for the wicked. Sign me up.
Hey if you wanna play hardcore classic theres actuslly a huge following already. Community rules and you gotta stream/record to prove it but ill give you some more info if you interested
@@mortalhordewarrior9285 I should have been way more specific there. Simply increasing boss damage and hp would be enough for me i think.
End result = catastrophic:
-Guilds falling apart
-Huge increase in queue's
-prices won't be affected that much by a leaving players base, considering that bots are responsible for the latter supply anyway
-Overal game experience goes down rapidly.
We have to understand:
This world thrives on population.
The much bigger question is will we again play a pre patch ? (Wotlk pre patch in this case) because classic was technically the tbc pre patch.
TBC pre patch let rank gear weapons for bg honor.
It's been a long time since I played TBC, but wasn't SSC T5 content not T4?
all we need is fresh tbc into character transfer, no fire peninsula issue on launch day and no boosted 70 draenei / blood elf
Does anyone know if we'll be able to move our guilds from classic to tbc servers yet? Asking for a friend.
Economy is f’d if it carries over , people with 200k to drop on a gdkp
yaa. i feel like they need to add in a bunch more gold sinks (cosmetics, bag upgrades, bank slots, i.e. things that dont give players more power, but just slight conveniences that casuals wouldn't care that much about)? gold capping seems to easily abused by hoarding items or something
Fuck that.
(Taking stuff away from the players is generally against the "best practices" of MMO design, so i'm not worried about it, really.)
You are absolutely right that gold sinks might just exacerbate botting problems.
Actually ran Kara in greens with some crazy Russians back in the day lol.
They must reset golds. Imagine mages keeping +100k gold will fuck tbc economy
I don't want this reset.

world buffs and aoe caps need to be in place from DAY ONE!

Hey man, nice Ui! Where i can get it?
i would be happy without world buffs. yeah people say you don't HAVE to get them but if you're someone who likes to push, you're kinda forced to get them. not being able to get any would just be nice
I’m kind of a noob, but which world buffs increase your efficiency by 60%?
Nef: Cast Crit +10% +5% Meele Crit +150 AP
Songflower: Cast Crit 5% +15 Stats
DMF: +10% Dmg
ZG: +15% Int / Agi / Str +10% MS
Rend: +300hp +15% Attackspeed +10 mp5
All together: Your char is definatly at least 60% stronger.

*TBC Servers starting from LVL1 will solve all this problems!*
nooo I put too much time to level to 60 already. Then they have to do it again for each legacy server

@end of daze I'm PVE player and not interested in pvp, but I understand in pvp this will have big impact.
They release Kara, GL, MC at launch, SSC and TK after, then MH and BT and finally SP.
ther is no world buffs in Outland TBC
Your gold sink idea for the larger inventory bag is a great example of how "some changes" can be implemented without damaging the integrity of the game.
SL launch was smooth as butter with everyone in one zone. They have deffo nailed layering, it's just down to wether classic players want it. 'No changes' gang were very anti layering on launch.
I think Blizz will go with 2.4.3 so no world buffs is my guess. But with Raid attunements.
Its called more servers for the launch issues.
my concern is the gold that some players will bring over into TBC.
I leveled my character to 60 for the sake of carrying him over to tbc. Fresh start would suck
SilentAlbatross i like this solution
They will most probably go with the same mentality as classic
No changes, mostly because changes takes effort.
They will release it in the final state as this what they believe is the best release. Since it has taken care of most class ballance and bugs and most important less work for them.
We will also see more sharding to take care of launch.
The game will probably go on the last patch just like classic,so the world buffs wont be that much of a problem
Capping old when you enter TBC would just cause people to move their cash into other assets which they sell once in TBC... it would cause huge market fluctuations as gold devalues rapidly. If anything... it would raise prices pre TBC, then after TBC all those items would devalue as people pay for the TBC items.
Could make it so you can only bring soulbound items into TBC. Then they would be able to have those items going in.
@@talonsims2311 an interesting idea
And regarding economy - there is no point to put more gold sinks or make things like flying more expensive. It will only create higher demand for gold-buying and will encourage more botting. And players who are playing fair will only need to farm more gold just to be able to aford things.
Top 6 big concerns that blizzard will not address
I hate to be that guy, but, blizzard told you, and noone listened.
You think we will, but we won't.
If Ppl don't have similar money (wich is bare min to Start tbc with flying and epic flying + a Few coins leftover) is totally their fault.
classic forever!
Classic Vanilla character transfers with gold cap to TBC Classic would be noice
You must not have played shadowlands launch. Everyone started in the same place and it was extremely smooth. You saw a manageable number of people and they had thousands of separate instances. It was the smoothest launch they have ever had, and again everyone started in the same zone
This was a well thought out video. Bravo!
If there are idiots that want to rip through the content as fast as they can, so be it, all the more fun for us who actually play it as it should be played.. no need to change anything for the DO IT NOW AND FAST group..
number 1 fix that needs to happen for competitive pvp arena is leeway and batching need to be fixed.

I couldn't care less of hardcore people who decide to play this game 18 hours a day. Don't change the game because of them. I played the hell of vanilla and TBC back when I was a teen. Now I have a family and demanding work. I'll savor the content and enjoy the journey with my friends.
Economy for sure, why I want fresh TBC servers or I will go play on the private scene once again

Remove world buffs! They're so cheesy at this point

Nowadays you get no raids at launch
world buffs removed entirly from TBC, yes.
True but if we don't start at 1 you'll see those people already way ahead. Basically lose-lose

@@shanehodges6980 no need to be an ass. you said you had no "problems" playing lmao. I also, did not have many times i was literally prevented from playing at all by being dced or something. But that isn't what your original comment implied.
Bots, gold sellers, and real money transactions MUST be eliminated.
Why not a complete reset, starting with the classic vanilla release schedule again and adding tbc after.
That way everyone who wants to play tbc gets a change to start a character and what not.
People calling for gold caps don't understand that would only make the poor players poorer, while the rich can invest and bypass the cap easily xD
@@moroth9541 Not me who invested a few k gold into boosting 10 alts for tailoring/alchemy cd so I can make all that money back instantly... done.
@@aggrobreaker Yeah, the economy is fucked if they don´t make a fresh realm. People will find a way to go around any gold caps.
nice video,what not
No world buffs. Look, I know its meta in classic atm and that's fine. But with TBC we shouldn't be relying on old world buffs to do its content. Let's leave then behind and turn a new page imo.
I played from vanilla - end of wotlk. BC was fine but in my opinion the worst of the old 3 games. Resiliance or how it was called (the pvp stat) made pvp super boring. Pve was an insane grind, getting all those keys for hc dungons was pure cancer. And those daylis... i really cant see me doing em again. 🙈
I will wait for classic+ or maybee wotlk. Nostalgia is a pritty powerful thing. But it won't get me this time 😅🥴👍
World buffs = removed
Patch = pre nerf 2.1
Gold cap = maybe 500
Then we might have a really good tbc 😀
I Think we all should start from lvl 1 when tbc Comes. That Will save the market
