      This man just gave us and people that want to receive it, a lesson on achieving things in life. Jay uses his experience in dealing with hater’s to show goals are still reachable regardless of people trying to drag you down. He also talked about not putting one brand down to left up another. As for myself I’m learning a lot from Jay, I don’t want to just look at him and his expensive gear I want to own it myself one day. Getting to the level he’s on you will have to deal with people trying to pull you down. I’ve learned a lot about this man’s character and his passion, that’s why he has what he’s got. Dearest Jay. Do not try to subjugate the haters! Envy and ignorance is eternal in the human race. For me, your channel is a joyous trip. The quality and quantity of your content is always superbly entertaining - I don't even know how you find the time to put out so many videos. The time to edit them is a pain in the but. Set aside the childish criticism 'cause a few thousand of us are having a blast with your channel. Bless and chill.

      I think there is also often an element of pricing things for rich people. Prices go off the charts, but the sounds don’t. Sure, diminishing returns is expected and more costly r &d, smaller volumes etc., but some prices just lose touch with reality. Soon we’ll probably see a billion dollar system for people like Elon Musk.

Even though I may not be able to afford even the Rug in your Room, I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for what you do. Your videos are always something I eagerly anticipate.
    I want to clarify that I'm not concerned about how much money you make or the type of house you live in; those aspects are entirely your own business. You are a great dude with a great show and I dig it when I see that you have something new to see. It hurts me to see you have to do a spot like this because people act stupid.
    Most of them are just jealous. And others just don't understand the purpose of your cause.
    And yet others who think that they know more than ANYBODY else and they just can't stand not being you.
    Many people don't know how it is to do what you do. I respect what you do man.

    My total system is around $30,000, and that's a lot for me. [ I am still trying to get my previous gear sold so I can catch up and pay off my cards ].
    My wife and I love to sit around and listen to our $30,000 dollar stereo. We do it often and it sounds great.

  • @VaioII
    @VaioII Рік тому +4

    I am a realist and no hater to anyone i would like to start with, but i got some adequate questions:
    Haters is a philosophical word, and it is easy to take advantage on them to stand and jell about haters on youtube and making profits of it in the same time.
    The clip you made previously on how transparent and how you afford your equipment just gained more questions, because you did not explain anything as the topic stated. Zero explanation if you look at the clip.
    Tell us what branch and what you are working with instead, so all the sceptics and “haters” get quiet instead
    Secondly
    , if you can pay without a bank loan for all the equipment you buy and sell, why do you change them after a short while?
    A Lab is a laboratory for scientists, and to state that you got a Lab is a pretty fun, if you do not understand the physics behind the technology you are testing in the lab.
    If you can afford a 500.000++ dollar stereo, why do you tell everyone to hit the like button and try to finance the expenses with the channel if you earn more money through your everyday jobb? It is contra productive.
    But with that hard facts i like you and you got a great heart to this hobby, so keep up the pace 👍

  • @mrgiggles7840
    @mrgiggles7840 Рік тому +5

    So Jay ,,,,, to be clear ,,,,,, what are your motives for this channel ? In other words are you a hobbyist who has elected to spend his hard earned cash on high end audio and are annoyed that folks are telling you what to do with your money ? Are you a salesmen who wants to buy and sell high end equipment for profit ? Two very different stories. if you are a hobbyist then nobody should tell you what to do with your money - if you are salesman and you are professing that you have items which are amazing - and could be for sale " see my web page " then you are open to criticisms on a public youtube page. You try to sell items which are perceived as overvalued / overpriced you are going to get naysayers . This is why companies pay a fortune for ads - they get to promote themselves with no protentional criticisms. You keep talking about how much money you have - how hard you work - how much you house is worth - yet it does not seem like you are actually enjoying them.

    Life's too short to spend it on their hate and negativity cos they don't have a life to begin with so they spend their time pulling others down.

    Hey Jay. Couple of thoughts.
    1. You're free to make and share videos on whatever topic you choose. And you're free to vent. However, like maybe a few people shared, most people probably aren't very interested in an entire video dedicated to you venting. That's the kinda thing you might want to tack on at the beginning or end of a video with actual audio content focus. But don't give it a lot if your energy. If you see fit, you can acknowledge concerns that some have, but simply reiterate the goals and intent of your platform. And UNAPOLOGETICALLY!
    Having said that, I think many sympathize with you, as do I. I agree that there's a certain level of mutual respect that's expected once someone has been welcomed into your home. So wholeheartedly agree with your stance on that, and that is definitely worth a one on one conversation.
    Thirdly, as it relates to the expensive gear that you feature on your channel: I think it's best that anyone who chooses to follow your channel grows to simply accept that this is your platform. They don't have to like it, but they also have no obligation to watch. No one is holding them hostage. If you don't like the content, don't watch, don't subscribe, etc. But definitely don't stick around and cry about the price of every darn component featured on the channel. Smh
    Having said that, I will occasionally scoff at absurdly priced cables/power cords that I believe have no sonic advantage over the cheap stuff. Lol
    Lastly, this channel is quite entertaining, and all of your hard work has not gone unnoticed! Keep it up, and don't dwell on the negativity.

    Internet is a mirror and the comments you get might reflect your own insecurities. In order to represent the ultra high end, you don't need to be able to afford the kit. It is actually not what matters. Who cares if your wife is rich, if you were born rich or inherited and never work 1h in your life or if , as it seems the case for you, you work super hard a regular job to afford top notch kit. Well done to you for that but it this about your success story? You actually create your own narrative... In this video, you try to justify that you belong financially to the high end but this is not what defines if you belong there.
    What really matters to represent the high end is the appreciation of the beauty of the music to the highest degree and the experience of listening to a wide range of systems at that level to have the broadest perspective about things.
    As you said it, it is all about the growth and the journey, I like your energy, your channel is fresh and I hope it keeps growing!

    Hi Jay I haven't read what negative comments you say people are making about you. However the common theme I detect is people do want to know what you do for a living to afford all this expensive gear. You have been avoiding this question now for along time so why not just come clean and tell us what to do for a living. Why is it such a big secret ? I'm sure a lot of the negativity and speculation would go away overnight just by answering that one question. Point number 2 . Show a positive response to your viewers don't be negative towards them.
    We can assume you are successful so why not offer some positive tips of your success so others can adapt your examples to improve their own situations. Such guidance and generosity

    I'm not a regular watcher of your channel but it seems to me that the kinds of questions that you're saying viewers have asked are reasonable ones and your responses sound unnecessarily defensive. If you're constantly talking about the ridiculously expensive gear that you have, it seems reasonable that questions would be asked about how you afford such things and the "I just work really hard" doesn't really satisfy that curiosity.
    You frankly sound like someone who's more into the idea of having the best of everything, rather than someone who really cares about audio. Folks who really understand audio tend to be folks who are technically gifted and can explain things on a micro level or people who are really enthusiastic and knowledgeable about music and you don't seem to fit either category so it comes off as more of a "collecting expensive stuff" type of thing and that doesn't tend to be very useful or interesting to viewers. It comes off as you having a UA-cam channel is primarily to brag about the expensive stuff that you own.
    Furthermore, your "get a job" type of comments about people who watch UA-cam videos like yours alienate the very viewers that it seems that your looking to capture.
    I just don't get the point of your videos other than having someone who doesn't seem like much of an expert brag about the expensive gear that he has. Maybe instead of getting so defensive you should talk about how music has been really important to your life, what music you love and how your audio gear has helped you experience it on a deeper level...

    People will always be different and have their own opinion. When people have comments on your personal audio products due to their price tag, it says everything about those people. I judge you based on how you do audio. I think it is the right way, we had this discussion before. The thing audio needs the most is how you can understand it and guide it. And then there is only one way. People need to learn what sound and music are. Because there is no other option to make audio more honest and transparent. Because trail&error will never make audio honest and more transparent. The reason for this is very clear, trial&error has no real foundation at all. It doesn't matter what you will do in life without any foundation it will never become successful or effective. When you teach people what sound is, it becomes for everyone clear what the differences are and what True High-End audio means, and what makes it so special. I now work for over 25 years full-time in the world of sound&vision. Trial&error will never give any person a True High-End audio system. Because you will always imply products that are not able to reveal all the different aspects of sound. This will keep this particular audio system always at a Hi-Fi level. You can never help and make every single person happy. Because people are too different, and that is fine Jay. Keep on focusing on it the way you think it will succeed. And most of all what makes you happy to do this.
