    OUTSTANDING video!! Been working on the Human Flag for a few weeks now with some progress. Just found this video going to try these training methods; I think I will progress quicker using them. Want to be able to do a Human Flag for my 60th Birthday in 17 days.

    The hip connection is solid advice and key to the second half of the flag.

    Great tutorial guys! I’ve watched every human flag UA-cam has, even your other ones, but this one especially gives me hope!

    Hi guys. I was wondering if you could perhaps do a video on the rings turned out dip. I have heard this is an extremely difficult move to do and I would love to find out more about it. The progression and the benefits as there isn't much information about it.

    • @Simon-gx1wf
      @Simon-gx1wf 6 років тому

      David Bloem you mean external rotation (by turning ring out) on top position or holding them turned all the way through?

  • @davidbloem2581
    @davidbloem2581 6 років тому

    Hi guys. The position I'm interested in is the whole dip being done with the rings turned out as this makes the move much more difficult than just rotating the rings at the end.

    • @SchoolofCalisthenics
      @SchoolofCalisthenics  6 років тому

      Hi David, yep the front support position in the rings is a toughy and puts plenty of demand on the shoulder stabilisers. Tim

      Stay positive, with consistency, you'll get there. You've made the first step of starting, so keep it up! All the best! Seth.

    Hi Seth, is there much difference between the bench and Swiss ball, for the excercise?

    • @SchoolofCalisthenics
      @SchoolofCalisthenics  6 років тому +1

      Hi Graham, yes the stability ball is much harder from a stability perspective but you can put more force down when using the bench. It's basically the stability tool from the locker in action. Both have merit but if you can put force down as well as stabilise the ball, that's when the big wins come. Tim

    i use 2 gyms, still pretty hard to get the setup done. nbut still wanna try harder. 8months and still not really progressed

    • @SchoolofCalisthenics
      @SchoolofCalisthenics  6 років тому

      Yeah it's tough if you don't have the right setup. Have you tried doing it with barbells in the squat rack?

    • @ZeNex74
      @ZeNex74 6 років тому

      dont believe i have that option at either gym. rack wouldnt support the top pull i think

    • @SchoolofCalisthenics
      @SchoolofCalisthenics  6 років тому

      Maybe direct your time to learning something else until you can find a proper setup. Lots of other cool things to play around with.

    yo, anybody know if age has alot to do with learning the flag? cuz im turning 14 next week and wondering if the flag is a realistic goal to get by the time im 15

    • @bezimena7159
      @bezimena7159 5 років тому

      Ofc!you can learn it in 2-6 month's,depends on strenght level

    • @Lessoninablessing
      @Lessoninablessing 5 років тому

      You can do it. At 14 years old or even younger your body is able to fully workout any muscles that will eventually lead up to you being able to do the human flag. Just do exercises that will build your chore , shoulders mainly and eventually youll be able to do it. Maybe sooner than you think if you practice it everyday. It want take 6 months like the other dude said here on your comment if you keep practicing 🤙😎

    Hello, great tips. May I ask which one is more difficult? Front lever or human flag? Thanks

    • @kansloos23pasta
      @kansloos23pasta 3 роки тому

      Frontlever is way harder, most people learn the front lever in 4-7 months while the huma flag only takes 2-5 months depending on your current skill level

    • @dieu-huyentran5185
      @dieu-huyentran5185 3 роки тому +1

      @@kansloos23pasta Thank you very much. It ‘s good to know. I can hold a 5 sec front lever ( pretty good form) but always want to train for the human flag. The human flag looks harder . I need to find a rig to train for it. Your tutorial is the best on Human Flag so far. Hope I can be able to do it. Being 66 years old is a little tough ( but again never thought I can do a FL hold ) I enjoyed the calisthenics journey. I need to find a rig or build one for the HF training. Any tips? Again thanks.
