    Wayne I've been doing this for a while after seeing this tip and my bands last twice as long or longer as they used to. Thanks mate 👍

    Fair play Wayne I've not used wrap an tuck for year but from experience I know 100%that will work

      Darren godfrey cheers Darren. I’m not a fan of wrap and tuck for attaching pouches, but knotting this ribbon is great! I’ve used paracord and twine in the past, but I’ve definitely found this is the best way for me.

      StanCrafted they will most likely still fail there, but with a bit of luck you should be getting a few more shots out of your bands first 👍

    Nice tip that mate, I’ve always used wrap and tuck, do you just do a double knot with that ribbon?
    Just started use of constrictor knots too, seems to be working well! 👍🏼

    great all videos...how much pull weight from a rubber like tbg is required for hunting with 10 mm lead...when your anchor point is your cheek or say 28 inches with with 6 inches is band...thanks a lot for sharing lots of useful information...wanted to know an average person limit to power and accuracy

    • @CattyShackHunter
      @CattyShackHunter  5 років тому

      yasir arafat I really don’t know about tbg, and draw weight doesn’t tell you anything about speed when it comes to catapults I’m afraid.

    • @CattyShackHunter

      I use a draw weight of around 8kg

    That's a great tip Wayne, and one I now use when tying my bands. I have a question about band life. I've seen other UA-camrs recommend tying up bandsets right before use, rather than pre-tying them. Do you believe there's any noticeable reduction in band life if they've been tied in advance, due to the stretch preload placed on the band ends while attaching the pouches?

    • @CattyShackHunter
      @CattyShackHunter  3 роки тому

      I’ve never noticed a difference to be completely honest.

    • @colewiebe
      @colewiebe 3 роки тому +1

      @@CattyShackHunter Thanks Wayne. I've never noticed any problems with pre-tying all the bands I expect to use for several months in advance. But since several UA-camrs advised against that, due to stress on the elastic near the pouch, I thought I'd get your take on it.

      So staying in the limits of band size(sheshou 0.75) and draw length of 75cm what are the options smaller ammo size? lead vs steel? Ammo shape hex nut baby bean?

      I hunt pigeon and squirrel with 0.65 precise bands and 8mm steel ball.. band taper cut to 25-15 and it work fine.. but i never attempt a body shot even on a small pigeon, its not humane..
