Yep! I used to love all that stuff! Heck, we grew up with the original horror movies, long before they had too many bad sequels, but now my anxiety ramps up so badly, to the point where I have to remind myself "it's only a movie" (I don't know if you're old enough to remember that tag line...lol).
Complete opposite for me watched so much horror as a kid as a older adult totally desensitised to it nothing scares me at all litterally nothing be it horror or joking at 3am in the hood
All these memories coming back 😂🤣. When I was a kid, my eldest use to tell me stories about "el cucko" and how he was eating kids and all that bs. I don't think I'm ready to watch this movie because it looks so well done and I may get scared.
I just looked and if the information I found is right “Cuckoo” was filmed in Germany. If so it’s interesting as it looks to be an English-language film. There appears to be a television series with the same name though.
Definitely a couple of quite blatant nods to The Shining in there. Hope they have not gone too overboard with the nostalgia for other movies though, it will feel cheap. Judging by the trailer is deserves to be its own movie. It is looking good so far.
I'm a horrible speller but as a kid I thought it was coo coo. I think One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest changed that. Maybe I'm not pronouncing it right. Is the 1st syllable pronounced cuck? Because I still say coo.
When you just move in and the next-door neighbor is part of the “welcoming committee” and walks over to introduce herself, be afraid. Be very afraid. But I make it a point to have the least amount of interaction as possible with neighbors. They’re not interested or care about you per se, but are rather just trying to get information about you that they can leverage for power later on. I live in California and it REALLY holds here.
That's what's unfortunate about the society that we live in today. We used to buy homes and connect with the people around us. Kids would grow up together. Holidays spent with each other. Look out for one another. Consider neighbors our friends, and even part of our family. But instead being suspicious of one another and not having a connection to where we live and who we live next to is making us feel much more sheltered and alone.

Shades of "The Shining" evident in this-looks fabulous.
Ugh..looks good but very very dark. I'm getting more sensitive in my older age

I’m older too, but o think I’ve been desensitized!
Normally I’d have something snarky to say but I won’t. 😬

I LOVE post Downtown Abby Dan Stevens! He is amazing in the creepy roles he's been doing. I'd watch this just for him!
and his voice is just the icing on an already delicious cake. So creepy in the best possible way.
I still can't get over him in Beauty and the Beast
That trailer scared the cr*p out of me. Love it!!
Me too, I think I peed a little 😂

considering i went on a 45 minute long rabbit hole one time about the cuckoo bird… i have a pretty good feeling i know what’s going on here
Sometimes that happens. 😂 I know more than I ought to about tiny terrariums thanks to a rabbit hole.
Doesn't that bird abduct other birds' hatchlings or something of that nature... hmmmm....lol
@@sabrinastarks7868 It lays it's eggs in the nests of other birds in order to trick them into raising their chicks for them
Have no idea what this film is even about... even after the trailer.
The 2020s is producing some really good horror movies it seems.
THIS IS Creepy trailer. The Shining vibes 👏.

El cucuy? That one and La Llorona had me terrified as a kid.
@@rosesleeps I still making up stories about el cucu to my nieces and nephews. 🤣😂😂, that's the only best part of being an adult.

I’m getting giallo vibes ❤
She's such unusual looking girl, very original 😍
That’s a demented preview
Well done

Yes, it's just spelled weird 😀
It's pronounced kuk-oo.

According to Oxford and Webster it can be pronounced both ways.

Looks awesome
Applying the cuckoo bird’s brutal reproductive strategies to humans is a great idea for a horror movie. Why didn’t I think of this? 😂😢
O.M.G!!!!!!
Oddd...my wife is a Hunter Schafer doppelganger.
Where’s the Cocoa Puffs
I thought this was a spin off from one flew over I thought it was going to be a Billy babbitt story

This looks really good…just wish it wasn’t Hunter Schafer.

Everything is British Australian or Spanish anymore
This is Cookoo lol

Honestly this looks boring. I will watch it, but at this point I ain’t impressed.
Ugh that bloke from euphoria. Huh otherwise looks good but why not cast a woman? Now a female has lost a leading role. Oh well.
Does Jordan Peele have anything to do with this?
