I hear ya. 6 yrs ago I lost a sister, 10 months later her daughter my niece, and two weeks after that my dad. In 2000 my partner, and my mom had been long gone. I left the US afterwards deciding I'm not going to be on my death bed with woulda, shoulda, coulda keeping me company. I've lived in 3 counties the past 6 yrs and getting ready for my 4th in a couple months. I'm going to make the most of my almost 66 yrs on this earth. If I'm still drawing breath there are still possibilities. Thank you for sharing. I watched your other videos with those details and you've got this. ❤👏🏼Yes, you should be a real estate relocation agent. I lived all over the US and my dad and I did real estate when I lived in Vegas. 😉
Oh Lord my condolences 💐. I feel just like you I didn’t want to sit around waiting to die! I’m very proud of you for choosing to live and live unapologetically ❤️ We got this! Welcome to the family.🫶🏾🙏🏽
I am so sorry for your losses. After watching your videos I am amazed how well you doing . Also watching some of your outing with your friend, you are VERY determined to do what you want to do. Take care!
What an inspiration you are! With God all things are possible! When my Dad died I can still hear him saying "baby, this is where Daddy gets off, this is my stop" and his journey with me in this realm was over! But, I know he has not gone far! We must keep moving in this life! Our wonderful God would have it no other way! More power to you!! Stay strong!!
Beautiful person and inspiring story! I’m 59 in Northern California and I’ve been purging for 6 months because I feared trump would win possibly and I knew the country would fall. Not sure I’ll retire yet, maybe one more year as a nurse but I plan to sell my house especially seeing these fires just scares me. I’m coming to Panama in March to see what it’s like. Thank you for such detailed information! Sorry about your loss of husband and daughter.
Hi LaTreva, I'm so sorry for your losses. I watch ALL of your videos. You have given me insight and inspiration to move to Panama. You are doing an amazing job with the videos and showcasing your beautiful life!
I would have never guessed your age. You look like you are in your 30’s. Keep the videos coming, you’re doing a great job. I’m hoping to retire there in less than 2 years.
sorry for your loss. I stumbled upon your video by accident and I found it to be quire refreshing and informative! Keep up the good work and I look forward to your next video as well. All the best! Ron
Great Video! You are a natural at this please keep the videos coming! I took the Panama Relocation Tour last year with Jackie Lange and fell in love with Panama will probably relocate there for retirement. I especially liked Panama City, Coronado and Boquete would love to have home in all 3 cities! I am so happy Panama is the right place for you and I look forward to your videos and perhaps real estate listings 😊 In your next video you can you talk about your experience with health insurance and access to hospitals (private and public).
You are doing fine. On the rare occasion when I throw a video out there its raw. I don't have time for editing, but its not a biz for me either so it doesn't matter. You are being a help and that is impt. I started planning my escape in 2010 LOL. I try to visit annually and I is building a community online. I have seen people come and go. I think my only regret is I didn't buy in 2010, things are triple in cost now from what they were then. But time is flying by now and soon I will be retired (Dec 2026) so I love watching all the videos from everyone. Your apt / condo videos have been awesome because it looks like the naked eye sees if that makes sense. Keep up the excellent info sharing.
Hi Latreva, I'm in California not far from Menifee. I plan on moving to Panama next year before the rainy season. I'm also looking at every video on Panama and have subscribed to your channel a few days now. You've given me a lot of insight on what to expect. I'll be moving alone (with my Yorkie) and I don't mind. Maybe a friend of mine will be moving as well with separate residents. Right now I'm just getting everything here in California situated. I hope to see you in Panama as I am a expat.
Thanks so much for bringing us with you in your journey through Panama! Its been very helpful considering I'm also thinking about moving out there, and your video quality just keeps improving daily
New subscriber here! OMG! 18 suitcases! I recently watched a video of an expat about moving. He stated that he left the states with 2 suitcases and a bank account! He sold everything else!
You are good, and luv your videos! I moved 11 suitcases, 2 dogs, and a small crate to Europe. I also had to buy a ticket for a family member so they could take one dog in the cabin. Questions: What are some great areas to live, not in the hustle bustle areas, but near these areas? What areas have more green space if you have pets?
Wow! I moved to Europe with I huge suitcase, a backpack and my dog. With that being said I've traveled on and off for 40+ years so I learned what I needed.
I am enjoying your videos. I’m currently packing my personal items to place my condo on the market. My goal is to get to Panama an early summer 2025. I hope to see you at one of the ex cat groups. Keep up the great work. Take care
I think my original comment was deleted in error. But thanks so much for your strength and courage inspite of all that’s happened. May God’s presence continue to keep you as you grow through life’s journey. This video provided me the context for all your other videos. My wife and I recently moved here Jan 2nd. My question for you is:”is it possible to keep my USA line on my iPhone and get a TIGO eSIM on the same phone so I can have the dual numbers working simultaneously? I prefer not to carry two phones. Thanks
Thank you! ❤️ Yes I believe you can I still have my old number with ATT but I believe you would forward the Panama number to your other number. But I’m not sure. ❤️
55 also a good time to reflect on what does your life look like and what you would like to change if any. Great subject please do real estate in Panama i plan to bop around for months at a time in a place so I need some help when I bop to Panama
You're right, it's a great time to think about what's next - Panama could be the perfect place to start that new chapter. I love it here and I’m definitely making some changes in my life ❤️🇵🇦 I will see you in Panama!
Hello, I will be traveling in a few months will like to get a temporary rental in the city, probable 2-3 months, some info on temporary rentals will be helpful.
Thanks for the transparency and sharing your journey, this is great content. I’m looking to visit Panama 🇵🇦 soon, do you have a way for me to connect with you while I’m there? I’d like to grab a bite and discuss real estate.
You are right I don’t know what I was thinking. It was so emotional and stressful clearing out my house. I didn’t want to bring too much stuff. But lord now I’m stuck with 18 suitcases 😂 Thank you for watching ❤️
Interesting take on the car thing. They scare me with the city driving when I'm there... maybe I need to rent a car next time and see if it really as bad as it looks as a passenger.
I’m a realtor as well. When i looked up “getting your real estate license in Panama”, the law stated that you must be a resident for 5 years. So, have you seen anything different?
@ I am with a small firm. It’s not a Global or National firm. But that’s an interesting question. Perhaps I could go back to one of the National firms that I was with in the past. I’m gonna check and see if that’s an option. However, I think the real estate law in Panama is that you have to be a resident for at least five years to get your license. Thank you so much!
I’m with an independent franchise of Coldwellbanker. But I couldn’t anyway I know I would have to take some legal courses to qualify here in Panama. 🇵🇦❤️
Hi Latreva, its sound like a good idea if you get your Real Estate license in Panama 🇵🇦 and do it only on a part-time basis, so you can continue enjoying your retirement. Also l have a question, l’m planning visit Panama soon and l know there are a lot of mosquitoes, so l was wondering if you could tell us if you were vaccinated against the yellow fever, and if you think its necessary to do so when going to Panama.
I didn’t get vaccinated but I don’t have any health issues to be concerned about. Honestly if you are moving to the city I don’t think you will have any problems with mosquitoes but see what your Dr advises you to do ❤️
The mosquitoes are not bad if you kind of not near water area or the jungle during their most active times. Also if you stay in a high rise they are not going to be far from the ground. When I am in Panama I usually have the windows open most of the time for the great breeze. I live in Florida most of time and we have the same issues with mosquitoes.
