THLR.NO - I’m telling you, you just can’t pull out a calculator and do fractions, it makes you think. One thing leads to another and you want build an airplane, make an atomic bomb, fly to the moon, reload. The possibilities are endless. I think the American and English aversion to the metric system is that it’s French :-) Vive la France 🇫🇷
Finding your videos very helpful and enjoyable, I would love to know your thoughts on cleaning your rifle how often do you do it and what do you do? Keep the videos coming
Thanks. I remove silencer and put in oil after every shooting. With bare bullets, I brush 10-15x, patch, inspect for copper and remove if needed. With moly bullets I hardly clean, have shot maybe 400 now without cleaning (the barrel in this film).
Seting up rifle cinematic an sounds was awesome.!😆 With the PMII your make turrets wind call corrections and have mildot reticle. Now you did not have reticle subtensions for wind. Did you still make turrets corrections.? Sorry for my english.
No I used the Blaser reticle, no windage turret. In next episode I will detail how I did it. Having no reticle subtensions is a weakness at these ranges.
Red Stag that was my question, too. TH, when you don’t shoot moly coated bullets, how does that affect your barrel cleaning frequency? Also, you shoot in the rain and everything - rifle, scope, and equipment get soaking wet. What is your post-swimming routine? Really enjoy your vids, Thomas.
Thanks Mark. Short version is that I ended up with Cerakote, synthethics and aluminium. Wipe of the worst, open everything and allow to air dry. On my old Sako, everything that could rust would rust. My cleaning is mostly oiling the barrel right after every shooting (don't let it settle). It used to be Break Free, now it is Butch's Gun Oil - my choice is dictated by what is locally available. With bare bullets, I use the an oiled brush 10-15x, with moly bullets I leave it. That being said, this question prompted me to brush and inspect my barrel. After maybe 400 rds there was a little copper residue in the barrel, so applied Forrest Bore foam which will be patched out after 30 min, then new oil applied.
@@THLR that makes shooting a lot more fun not having to set at a press. But it's fun and I enjoy it too that's like 6.5 grendel its cheap here and it's a ball to shoot like your 6.5x55
@@jamesmoon6042 grendel prices are comung down here too due popularity. Factory used to be scarce and $4-5 a shot, now it's $2. I could reload that round for about $0.6 ???

THLR.NO very true. I wonder how many people expect to see there raged one hole group at 100m still be here at 600m. Realism. Other wise, down the rabbit hole you go.
What i would like to know is how your accuracy falls off if you're needing to take a shot from a realistic hunting scenario, shooting on a slope, different ground mud/gravel, wind hitting the rifle sideways on, etc...
It's basically the red circle I drew plus a risk assessment yea or nay. And the risk assessment consist of how you "feel" the rifle settle and how tight I can assess the weather conditions.
Hei Thomas! Har fulgt deg i flere år og det er like spennende når det tikker inn melding om ny video :) Men et kjapt spørsmål til deg, hvor får man kjøpt den runde stål blinken med graderinger som du bruker i flere av dine filmer?
Grateful to you [and your team] for the sharing and teaching this art. I will buy another of your videos when you narrate in english. One criticism, the added sound effects do not fit your style, unpleasant to hear.
Its hard to beat factory loaded golden target / diamond line. Not many rifles get better accuracy out of reloads of that particular round. And atleast in sweden, reloading is not that economic considering the price. at most you save 20-25% and it takes alot of reloading to pay back the investment. bullet + powder + primer is around 5-6 kr and you can buy a box of 50 for 480 kr and even larger purchases push the price even more.
Been watching your videos for years. I still learn from them! Thanks
Thanks! Episode 346 should be more updated.
You are my perfect teacher, thanks a lot !
No problem. Waiting to edit another 2 episodes.
Добрый день 🤝😊 Все как всегда на высоте 👍👍👍

Still following Thomas. And learning everyday from you. 👍👏👍
Thanks Jim. Boring interlude, the next episode should be on more interesting topics.
Love the editing, makes it even more fun.
Oh btw, did u use the beltfeeder for this session?:)
That one is saved for special occasions.
Never fear the man who has practiced 100 diffrent shots one time, but fear the man who has practiced the same shot 100 times...

Thomas, there are two kinds of people. Those that have been to the moon, and those that use the metric system lol. Keep up the great work!
:D Yeah, I saw a picture with all the lines on an inch ruler explained... Kinda glad we didn't go to the moon.

Thomas, you shoot more bullets yearly alone than all of the hunters yearly here in Poland :).
Really? It is quite common to shoot a lot in Norway. I am relatively low in numbers.

THLR.NO - Wait, what?! You molly coat? Do you use copper or nylon brush?
Great job 👍💯⚡️
Thanks
lol that sounds - love it^^
If it's the sound of steel being smacked... it's kind of addictive.
Do you let your barrel cool down? If it gets to hot that will change point of impact as well.
Yes when the silencer gives off too much mirage to see. The barrel is remarkably stable.
Good job; thanks. J.
