Oatmeal mixed with peanut butter and real honey is a good one too. I started taking more food out on hunts in the mountains and it makes a huge difference in my mental focus, helps keep me warm, and keeps moral up when I'm not seeing any critters. Thanks for the video and your time!

I’m not a big sweets fan, so for those who aren’t here’s one for you. I’m a zip lock snack bag put 1/4 cup of each pistachios, smoked almonds, pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds, and chocolate chips. I’ll usually consume 2 snack bags of these a day and they don’t take that much space.

Chili cheese fritos are some of the most calorie dense foods by weight. If you smash them up and add them to some trail mix you can throw in a ton of calories (and some sodium to replenish salts) with very little weight.

Great video Cliff. I like to alternate sweet and salty snacks during the day. Seems to help with the curbed appetite I experience on the mountain. I can get about 1/3 or more of my calories without trying.
Lots of trail mix and stinger waffles followed by a handful of fritos, Wasabi almonds or meat stick jerky. Bourgeois Meat market in Louisiana makes the best jerky I've ever had and they mail it anywhere in the world. You can't not eat that stuff once you smell it.

I prefer to melt butter and chocolate chips together to make a sort of ganache. It’s rich and delicious, and it’s stiff enough that I can cut them into coins that I can snack on with cookies or biscuits or fruit. Lots of calories.
