Especially since the wood shelves are right next to the shower, they'll need protection from water & humidity - a clear coat of water based polyurethane will do so without that yellowing! ( I would also recommend from experience a coating for the cabinets - chalkboard's porous finish makes it really hard to clean, especially for oily or sticky substances like lotion or hairspray) It looks great though! Impressed by your transformation!

I love the gold, wood, black together. Chic & clean looking! Tip: coat your cabinets in chalk paint wax to seal it😉 Humidity and water can ruin it

My favorite part is you completed it!! My husband started on ours Memorial Day week and it’s still not done. I’m currently 31 weeks pregnant and I’m hoping he is done before I have baby. We replaced our cast iron tub, got rid of our window, put in an exhaust fan, and replaced the floor and walls. They have mudded and sanded the walls many times. They still need to paint the walls/ceiling, put the sink back in, run the electrical, put the medicine cabinet in, put the light above the medicine cabinet in, paint the door and put it back (currently don’t have a door), place trim around tub and floor, and hang all hardware.

Soooo good!! Love the round mirrors and the color palette you've got going on. One tiny thing - if you can switch to q-tips that have a paper stick instead of a plastic one it's a small change that actually has a huge (positive) impact on ocean pollution :)

The plastic wall anchor can be drilled out Use a large drill bit, slightly smaller than the visible plastic. The little lip on the plastic comes off and starts spinning around the drill bit. Stop drilling and carefully punch the plastic into the dry wall so it is below the surface. Only leaves a small hole to fill

Love what you did with your bathroom. I've been watching video after video to get inspired to go ahead with my bathroom refresh; started yesterday and will do more today after I "juice" myself up with more video watching. Thanks for the inspiration, and good to know you didn't get it done in like 4 hours, as some videos seem to imply it can be done (it can't). I am going to be painting walls, painting the vanity, and putting down a peel and stick floor too. And yes - reorganization. When I was clearing out 2 small storage cabinets that flank my mirror yesterday I came across items I haven't even looked at in 7 years. I have some serious winnowing to do, for sure!

My best tip when painting ANYTHING is ... After you remove the lid for the first time, take a flat head screwdriver and pierce 3 or 4 holes around the rim of the can. After you pour paint into a tray or container, the excess will drain back into the can, not blob all over the place.

My dad is a contraction worker for 35 years now as well my fiancé is a wood worker and both have known guys who have severe lung damage now as they get older because of just renovating their houses without using masks or dust collectors. PLEASE use them!!! but other wise I really enjoyed

He tore out windows in old buildings & houses containing asbestos and who knows what else? He also used a sander on glass every single day, without a mask, most of the time. My husband recently died of Pulmonary Fibrosis (scarring of the lungs) at age 45.... Pretty horrible way to learn a lesson 😢

I found the best way for the wallankers is to set the screw on them but instead of screwing them in which expands the anker hit on it with a hammer then unscrew the screw if it slipped in a bit. Then you can fill up the small holes with pud. Sry for the spelling its not my mother language.

Favorite part is the sink hardware and I love how the light wood shelves match the floor :) For the sake of consistency, I would replace the showerhead with a black matte rain shower head as well as the curtain rod. Can't see the doorknob from here but depending on the colors in the bedroom i'd either replace it with the brass or matte black.

Tip from a semi pro home remodeler/flipper - start with flooring in any project and install flooring underneath base cabinets so the floor is level. Start the install of the flooring in the corner against the wall or tub and work your way out to the doorway. Let’s cuts, less material.

Is there nothing you cannot do?!!! You and your husband did a phenomenal job. Yes, you take the credit mostly, but nonetheless it was a team effort. Best DIY bathroom makeover!

Love! And on such a budget! I feel like if you changed out the shower rod to match the darker sinks it would really pop and tie it together 😍😍

This was great! Awesome job! I learned a good tip recently from the guy at home depot about how to get dried caulk off -- you can use a heat gun which is only about 20 bucks! It loosens it up so it's not as difficult to scrape off.

I’m new to your channel and loving ever single video I’ve found. You’ve made each space look stunning, minimal, and magazine worthy. I would love to be able to condense, minimize, and redo our house too. Perhaps you’re giving me the motivation! Thank you.

love your lists of supplies, tools and decor with ur vids, so we can do it too. I know exactly what you mean about starting and losing motivation! sadly we have started several at once, bad idea, exceeds the ' gotta make some mess to see the best' cause we just leave everything where it is and come back later....much later...

Ooo that hook wall and the shelves (love the light wood with gold) are both such awesome ideas! My partner and I are getting a new build house in a few months and I've been struggling to think of ways to customize it. You've got so many cool wall treatments I'm itching to try out :D Thanks for the inspo!

Great job! I am inspired to redo our bathroom and kitchen after watching your videos! I would suggest to apply some sort of finish on the wood shelves to keep them protected. Especially in a bathroom you want to keep them from getting wet and staying wet. A water based polyurethane should be good and it should keep it nice and light colored like you wanted.

@8:00 Yes it's worth cleaning those out & reusing if not broken no matter how cheap a replacement cost. The less landfill waste, the better! Thank you
