i really like the build! One thing i will suggest, is giving people watching this video and future videos you do an unobstructed view of your glyph boards. You move very fast through them and its hard to see all the boards in some spots because you are blocking them with the legend Node and glyph.
I like to share some thoughts about flay barb. I am a new player started in season5, chose barb saw this build and started to follow it. As in some guide it is mentioned to be S ranked. I am about 3/4 completing this build and saw the problem with this build it is too slow where it requires 3 steps to del. mobs. 1) Rupture. 2) stack bleed. 3) Rupture. most of the time, after i cast rupture, a sorc would have kill everything before i started with stacking bleed. While playing with other players/Duo-ing with a sorc i couldnt even land any hit. their orb just melt everything. Even on boss fight. other classes just fire with a button to do insane damage. Not to mention that i have to start with the 3 hit process. Im not sure how well WW barb do but i decided not to invest my time and started with a rogue and see how easy a rogue could out perform barb.
I'm running a Rend/Rupture build now and while it works out fairly well, I really struggled in Hordes. I was about to swap to Whirlwind, but may try this first. Just hate that I've been salvaging all my Paingorger's and the 2 Shards I got.
You should try out "No Cd COTA WW" you run standard dust devils mostly with arreats blessing and cota cdr on both rings. Add in a flickerstep with bold chieftains and the ability has an effective 0 second cd. Max out the skill modifiers for infinite fury and spam buttons non stop.
Could you elaborate on which gems would be better to use in weapons? In the video you use sapphires but in the build guide from the link you've put amethysts and I'm trying to wrap my head around it :D
Sure thing! Sapphires are used for vulnerable dmg, emeralds are for critical dmg. If your vulnerable dmg is at 350% (for a maxed out hemorrhage node) put in emeralds to stake critical dmg to buff gushing wounds. If you have under 350% vulnerable dmg, use Sapphires until you hit 350%/max out the hemorrhage node.
I'm using it now, it helps a lot, and the 800% dmg to bleeding enemies. If you don't take the polearm and the glyph use Fields of Crimson and bloodfeeder or disembowel glyph
My only issue is I wants use big sword. Not little sword or little axe or spear. I want big sword. Probably just have to stay off meta do the build with a sword and deal with being a tad worse idk
flays downfall this season is the dang nerf to the passive and stuff, compared to last season this build is like soooo weak now with out a lot of specific gears. used to be able to walk through pit 100 with easy dropping like 150m bleeds or more on bosses with minimal gear. lol Also, just saying Rupture is amazing for wave clear, you can literally just spam Rupture without having to use flay at all on mobs cept maybe a few times if your CD is off.
@@barb_or_bust i use marshal and dissembowel along with hectic. Allows you to just literally walk around poking mobs with Rupture nonstop :D. Also this season i went with Fields of Crimson with the build because holy cow it got buffed. i have like 1000% damage to bleeding enemies on it, not to mention its normal 30% damage bonus to things in the puddle. I dunno why i havent seen more builds using it!
@@jaysay7333 Nice, that's a good combo, I used bloodfeeder over disembowel. I also switched to the fields of crimson after the video lol, will have an update for this and rend rupture soon!
@@barb_or_bust Yeah i wanted to fit blood feeder in there but, other glyphs were needed more after i figured Crimson sort of is a glyph and a half in itself and actually covers as a bloodfeeder glyph x10 XD I was also eye balling that revenge glyph... has a multiplicative in it as well... probably would boost dmg even more.
No starless, did you use endless fury, fury per second and have 1 ring with resource generation? Endless fury makes it that you generate more fury than you use, fury per second makes you able to not take rallying cry, and resource generation on a ring boosts how much fury you receive from all sources.
what about removing the cooldown from rupture so you can spam / only use rupture? assuming you can afford the fury cost of rupture. I am curious if only using that skill would be viable / good.
I like using 2 handed weapons for heavy handed crit dmg bonus which works well with gushing wounds. The pole arm has a higher lucky hit chance in weapon expertise and the pole arm glyph gives you x15% dmg increase while healthy
Flay is not suitable in hoardes i love flay this build simply kill all bosses in s4 but not in hoardes its tiring my finger. Playing t150 to yank for sorc to shatter them with ruptures steel grasp were so tiring but worth an achievment
flay build looks so hard... single target is very good but AOE is still disappointing. Also, it is not fun to play. Too slow.. how about rend ?? please try with rend
He said he was still gonna update rend rupture build from before. I'm looking forward to it too, but basic attack uniques and aspects are just more prevelent unfortunately as it's main problem I think (I'm still fairly new to barb)
Yeah, it is. Basic uniques and aspects are just overpowered and core skills can't compete. I need a ring of starless skies for Rend for it to be complete :/
i have the same build but i hit harder then you and my gear is only MW 4 . i play HC though you need the aspect when you have a barrier you deal 50% increased dmg. thats why your aoe is crap. and you dont need the SHARD to play Flay your misleading people. and i have 72k HP. lol get your iron skin off your neck and put something else there it doubles the offensive aspects. and you dont need endless fury just get a piece of gear with fury per sec. thats a waste of skill points. i hit for 1bil last night with rupture.

Noted
You always have great knowledge on bleed builds
You deserve a lot more subs
Thanks man! Bleed is my favorite barb playstyle

Love your non mainstream diverse build vids, can you try to make an Maelstrom build work with the New items? Flickerstep + chain, or New death blow?

@@barb_or_bust I see. Thank you so much!
What about wave 7 and 8? U can do it without the uber uniques?
Fields of crimson helps a ton with Aoe damage, how well do you think it realistically helps this build?

Agreed, the hemorrhage cap and the change to gushing wounds does hurt. I agree with rupture but I need more cooldown

you should try running with fields of crimson it really helps with mob clearing I easily dismantled T7 with it.
Yep for aoe it’s just king
I'll give it a try!
Your claiming the gameplay video was with out Starless? I use your exact build and even switched chains for leap and still have fury issues
No starless, did you use endless fury, fury per second and have 1 ring with resource generation? That does work but the boss fight would suck as wantons only happens every 8 seconds
Just to mention. Your no uber version has no armor 20% resistance and 0 mobility
Thanks for the overview. Just curious why you assigned flay to the polearm as opposed to the two one handers. Also why not a two handed sword?

Tried that sword...how do you sustain it i always run out of fury
Starless ring uber
Fury per second, points in endless fury and resource generation
How do you keep your fury up like that while using shard of v?
you need fury per second and 3 rank of endless fury
I don't use the hooks but use leap and stomp with earthquake. They do work well together
All you guys need to like the video
It's a co-op game. So a flay barb in the party
So goe do you keep your furry up I have fury on kill and I just burn through my fury what am I doing wrong
You need to have fury per second on 1 piece of gear and take 3 points in endless fury, that will keep you capped
@barb_or_bust ok yeah I have that and changed it made a huge difference thank you
@@barb_or_bust I thi k once tou get unbers this build will hit harder
can wave 8?
Paingorgers works with bleed damage?
Fist of fate is way better. I’m thinking about rocking Andy helm with all those lucky hits

I agree, Flay isn't the best build for the infernal hordes, the Fields of Crimson makes it better though
Anyone have trouble to stay alive? I am dying so easily.
I plan on updating this as I have some mythic uniques but make sure to spam iron skin, how much life do you have? If its below 45K then that's too low
i use this build. it dies at t7. you CANNOT solo t7+. yes I have all gear MW atleast 9+ and a shako.
Going to try and update this after I try double swing
