I feel like this is next. Just look at the overreach of government during the 99% survival rate pandemic. When will realize that throwing more government at any issue will most certainly make any issue worse.

As much as I applaud this woman on her dedication to facts and reason on this issue, I take issue with using the power of government and public health to influence gun policy for the nation. I firmly believe that any studies put out by this organization will simply be twisted by both sides to suit their respective agendas. we need to work as a culture to get rid of gangs and drugs, give suicidal people resources and a sense of community so they don't feel all alone. a cultural shift toward mutual respect for others humanity is needed, not laws and policy.

Over the years it's been a breakdown of morality and value on human life. You can see for years we've had guns and never had stats like now. It IS gangs and drugs and criminals and low economic areas.

Also the gun incidents are either in gun free zones, fact, and high crime areas, fact. If a child, I a sad to hear that a child got a hold of his parents gun, grabbed his parents gun and shot himself with it, there's nothing no one can do except that the parent should have taken precautions for that not to happen. Not get govt involved and restrict people from owning or making sure the family has a gun safe. Every time an individual accident/incident takes place that is not a time for Govt to step in. That means WE don't know how to run our lives but the Govt does. Dangerous waters

If we didn't have laws requiring seat belts or vaccines, I don't think your life expectancy would be this high. It's easy to scapegoat gangs and drugs when you don't understand the science behind how far public health interventions affect your everyday life. Your sense of humanity will not change the adverse outcomes of predatory laws set in place. Mutual respect for others will not help against systemic racism nor will it change the fact that some of your neighbors will be expected to live 10 years longer than you because they have access to more resources.

I understand your distrust of the governemnt as billionaires and corporations run the current state of government, it's not the people's voices. It's the voice of Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and the rest of those clowns. The rich have always had it out for us working class people.

I really go for these intelligent broads - unfortunately it doesn´t seem to be mutual. :-(
