At 1:46, he plays the alternative run that most pianists fail to do. I learned how to play it, but only about 1/2 the speed Liberace plays it. I love this alternative run, and I wish more pianists would dare to play it.
Do you think this song is fair towards Chopin's "Fantasie Impromptus"? I like that Liberace shows that this is actually exact copy of the melody from the "bridge" (middle part) of Chopin's piece. I can hear the meaning, and the text is touching. The Judy Garland recording on YT has scoring by Harry Carroll and Joseph McCarthy and does not refer to Chopin (but we all recognize it, don't we?) And the show-version by Alice Cooper is even more distorted. So therefore I love that Liberace playes quotes from Chopin even if I cringe when he leaves the original and they play the continuation lines by McCarthy.
Beautiful Day made a song named Electro Fantasy for a rhythm game called o2Jam. It's a techno-genre but uses classical pieces for samples and tunes. Apparently, this exact rendition is what they drew inspiration from. Right from the intro to the main piece.
A very beautiful song of the past,I love it.
Loved Liberace since I was 11 years old. The piano 🎹 came alive when he played

didn't know Liberace could play Chopin so well
Amazing!
Charming duo!
I like how he just straight up used chopin's original instead of making something up for the piano intro
I wish my brother George was here
Such beauty , grace, and femininity. Dinah Shore's not bad either.
Hahahahaha!!

I didn't know Marilyn Hickey could sing.
Dinah Shore
Only one is butch.
Prefer to hear him sing than play the piano...😐
He was a genius on the piano but He sucked on the organ.
