    Not sure why you put the Brompton in a bag. Via used to require folding bikesvto be put in a bag but i found that in Montreal and Quebec City they always just let me on anyway.
    On my latest brompton - via trip i went to ottawa from Montreal. As usual nothing was said in Montreal but on the return the ticket agent gave me a hard time. I argued with her, they let on the train, and when i last checked the Via website nothing was said about folding bikes requirimg a bag.

      Yep. That’s a thing. VIA rail operates more like an airliner. Most ridiculous thing ever.

      @@CurbsideCycle thats so alien to me. I just checked the rules on Austrian trains on how much luggage you can take, how big etc. expecting to find some sort of (generous) number, and the official rule on the website is: there is no limit, as long as you can carry it yourself and you dont block the isle, its all fine! 🤣
