- Sweet lolita fashion is super cute, but it can also be super silly. Sometimes we just have to make fun of ourselves! ;P

Couple more that I do!
-Buying all sorts of 'kawaii' toys and treats and such for your pets... even if what you own isn't the most 'kawaii' on its own (in my case, a solid black mutt and about 14 tropical fish)
-Customizing video game characters to look as 'lolita' as possible (see: Pokemon XY... while having Yveltal and Steelix in your party)
-Burning candles/wax melts so your entire house smells like a bakery
-Hoarding 'loliable' sewing patterns, promising that you'll sew something one of these days
-Going into vintage stores to see if you can find a cheap tea set or flatware that would match your aesthetic
-Buying makeup where even the containers they come in are super cute
-Wearing red circle lens because you want to look both dolly-eyed and terrifying at the same time
-Using past cosplay props for your sweet lolita photoshoots, whether it's a pair of wings or a giant flamethrower

WonderlandLolita My daughter is three, I am SO envious of the spring and summer clothes released I the toddler section, meanwhile I see reds, olives and navy in mine. It's like WTF.

Omg I can relate!! ♡♡ I do these things but with fairy-kei ♡♡ and oh my gosh the children's section! They always have much more cute and pastel things than adults < / 3
I always hated that the older you get, the duller your clothes get.
+SeqZZ yes yes yes! Everything gets the colour leeched out of it until everyone looks gray and faded and androgynous and bereft of anything unique or indicating self-expression. It is a sad comment on our culture.
I am so envious of you and anyone else who is able to get Lolita Dresses accessories... it seems that's something that will not happen... and it's literally been years since I discovered Lolita.

Did you know that Angelic Pretty has a new paris shop? My family holiday to france lined up perfectly and I got to visit BTSSB, Princess Crepe, Axes Femme and the brand new shop! (I may or may not have bought two new dresses and a parasol '^-^, in my defence, they were half price >w

Yeah! As a sweet Lolita I relate to most of this. Oh, and besides using the cutest smartphone case I could find (coincidentally it's a pink My Melody case too), I also got cute Icons and all types of cute Apps (photos and games). ^^ ♡
I can relate to this so much! ;A; Except for me, I fell in love with a more Sweet-classic look. So for me I also had, "Will people think I'm dressed up for Easter in this even though it's November?" and "Do I look like an elderly fellow?" Sadly, since I'm also a guy, I also got the "I feel awesome in this dress even though other people think I'm a creep because I'm wearing pastel pinks, blues, and so on."
Go you! I hope you can fulfill your wish and wear sweet lolita and pastels and whatever expresses your inner truth. I wish for you both confidence to wear it and contentment in doing so. Yes, you will get funny comments, but please also remember there is a supportive community that is behind you all the way! We have all gotten negative comments and survived :-)

That kid section one is honestly so true. If shops actually tried to make something that cute in adult sizes, imagine how many people would actually by it. I think it would be sold out!
The pillow thing is a really good idea actually.... I might not but a dress just to do that but making cute pillows out of cute patterned fabric may be a good idea

I'm a gothic/kuro lolita but I can relate to some of these XD especially with wanting to wear the comfiest pjs after dressing up all day.

and the similarities between fairy kei and sweet lolita have never been more apparent.
Definitely relate to the Princess part, but it's more to be adored than the luxuries.
Also I have done a few of my own prints, thanks to Spoonflower and my sewing skills! My favourite is "Heavenly Carosuel."

I think another good hobby for sweet lolitas could be colouring :) Plus for older ones there also adult geared colouring books that still have very cute and pretty designs too and don’t get all suggestive or dark. Lisa Frank made an adult colouring book too; which is probably something good to look into! I personally think playing around with pretty rainbows and stuff works well for this fashion style :)

I'm in the same position, lol. I just try to think about in the long run -- will I regret not wearing the fashion because I was scared of judgement, misunderstanding, or whatever reason, or will I wear it and try not worry about other people, or whatever.
There's always gonna be someone who doesn't like what you're wearing, but as long as your happy and not hurting anyone, I say go for it! Who cares what your body type or gender is? Just be happy :)

I never really wore lolita fashion but I followed the online community for several years and owned a couple of dresses and I still relate to some of these 😂 I did wear toned down fairy kei though so maybe that's why

The size of the print on a life-sized lolita dress or a replica would be way too big to make into a doll dress, unfortunately! Although some brands have released mini doll-size versions of dresses.

I'm mainly a classic lolita and I can relate to so many of these. I definitely get that problem with being unable to find the matching head-bow to main pieces since I generally shop second hand. I wish brands share the same colorways or even keep the same colorway regardless of years. I hated finding out that IW's bordeaux headbows don't match their bordeaux JSKs unless it came from that particular series! >8(

When my girlfriend first started in lolita she wanted to be gothic lolita... she's the sweetest sweet lolita to ever sweet. Now she has 4 dresses and they're all sweet lolita. She's actually thinking of getting her first classic lolita dress though (it's the ap one that's red with the books)
