You maybe paying more and making trips more difficult by relying exclusively on EA. We recently made a nearly 800 mile round trip to Atlanta in my 2023 Bolt EV for $.80. I purchased the premium version of A better route planner and an OB2 scanner to make the bolt route planning similar to the premium brands. The software planned the stops perfectly as it had real-time info of my driving, weather, traffic and battery percentage. We paid $0.40 for our first stop at a Shell Recharge for 35 minutes and 29kwh and same amount on the way back. I did purposely book a hotel that had level 2 chargers. I love my Bolt, it has almost 3600 miles on it after only 2 1/2 months. So much fun to drive and I don't miss the weekly gas station visits at all.
We use a better route planner as well

8 months and 14k miles here and loving it (Bolt EUV Premier Launch Edition).
I saw my salesman yesterday and I finally got to drive a 2020 Bolt he had on the lot. I was blown away by the driving experience. I've never driven an EV before. He recently told me that my Bolt order was canceled. He made a mistake. It turns out that if it is not made by the end of August then it will be canceled. It's in GM's hands now. Gr8 vid as usual. 🚙 🇺🇸 🔌

How is the black color? Any swirls showing in the paint or does it get super hot in the daytime?
I'm loving my Lt EUV; the slow charging is annoying, but I'm used to it.
I highly recommend servicing the brake calipers yearly, as we don't use the brakes much.

Good review. Loving my 2023 EUV redline Bolt after 3 months of ownership. I 99% home charge, so DC limits are generally not an issue. Here in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia, the regen is amazing. On a recent trip to Shenandoah National Park, I came out of the park with more range than when we set off after an overnight at Big Meadows in the middle of the park. My only niggles with the car are the flimsy cargo cover and the absence of a home link feature to open the garage door, but otherwise I don't think there is a better featured EV out there at this price point.

How is the electricity bill? Is it higher? About the same? I've heard from some people that it shouldn't significantly increase your bills
@@lillywisdom4323 I'm averaging about 1000 miles a month which has increased the electricity bill by about $30 per month. The monthly email that the Bolt sends me estimates that I am getting the equivalent of 139 mpg.
I do have a couple questions. I daily drive 60miles To and from work 120miles round trip. In the winter gets to -75*F at the coldest.
I Am going to be pushing to get one soon And was wondering if I should ABC when going to and from work ( charging stations are not common and very Hard to find / unobtainable in Alaska)
Wasn’t sure if I would have to bring like the Charger with or If the Delarship would give free charging or etc- Any advice on that would be Wonderful

I'm looking at this car to commute with. Can these things handle running 80-85mph for long periods of time?

I don’t think you will like the Equinox. Not because of the vehicle itself, but because GM will no longer be offering Apple Car play or Android Auto support. Instead GM will be offering a navigation subscription service with multiple tiers.
I propose that the Bolt internet community demand that GM get out of the app trap, and do something novel. We should all propose that GM write a developer app so that others can create apps for their infotainment instead. Think of it more like the Apple Store that you can use to customize your experience. I believe this is the path GM should take instead of forcing people to pay monthly for navigation and infotainment.
Good input… several people have said that Apple car play etc… will no longer be available. Does GM have a article about this?
@@TTorres1183 - I can’t post links on here. Reuters says the same as Car & Driver, but how does GM expect to make $20M by 2030 if they offer 8 years free service starting in 2024? This I don’t understand, and it makes me believe the YT car industry rumor mill that this new service will have tiers designed around EVs. Route planners might not be available with the free version.
