Peter Criss was actually the best singer in Kiss but they didn't let him sing much. He might have been better than Layne Staley but didn't sing on enough songs to make that call. But I agree thay Staley was better than Gene Simmons or Paul Stanley

Like very much AIC (Jerry and Layne), but after I listened to Deep Purple's Burn album. Man, Coverdale and Hughes are fuckin' awesome. Coverdale's voice sounds ultra damaged nowadays, but I always remember him for that he was. Glenn continue singing pretty good.
That would take a person really insane range AND tone. Brann, Troy and Brent have very distinct voices and singing styles. Bill's never recorded lead vocals, but he does a lot of backup vocals live (and his thunderous growling is also very distinct from the ones Brent and Troy sometimes do).

Without having watched the video, one band that came to mind immediately is Alexisonfire. George, Dallas and to a lesser extent Wade could all take lead vocals depending on the song. Dallas and George contrast so wonderfully.
Trivium has no business on this list. Even if you do count them as multiple vocalists and not just backing vocalists to replicate the tracks done by one studio vocalists, they are certainly not at the top of the list in any way, shape, or form.

Without having watched the video, one band that came to mind immediately is Alexisonfire. George, Dallas and to a lesser extent Wade could all take lead vocals depending on the song. Dallas and George contrast so wonderfully.

Trivium has no business on this list. Even if you do count them as multiple vocalists and not just backing vocalists to replicate the tracks done by one studio vocalists, they are certainly not at the top of the list in any way, shape, or form.

I think you're joking, but not sure. Newsted never did any lead vocals. Live he would do a few songs to give Hetfield a break but he's hardly considered a second vocalist for the band.
